Such a fun little rom-com style book. What more could you as for in a novel? Puppies, dogs, and romance? A swoon worthy MMC? I adored this book. It was such a fun time. I highly recommend.

This is my third Anna E Collins book and I loved it as I’ve loved all the books I’ve read by her. This was such a cute workplace romance with the addition of so many dogs and puppies! I’m always a sucker for dogs involved in books. Holly and Jonathan work together in different departments at the same company and Holly pretty much forces Jonathan to help her in the intern competition. The winner gets the opportunity to move to Scotland for a year to help open a new office. Through their forced work relationship, they get to know each other and fall for each other. I loved the relationship building but it also wasn’t a slow burn, which I was here for! Overall what a fun book!

Holly needed help with a calendar!
Intern Holly King wanted to use her internship at Global Conservation League to get a full time position with the charity at the Glasgow location after being fired from her position as a lawyer. First she needed to plan a fundraiser that would raise the most money for the charity among the five interns with the position at Glasgow as the prize. Holly decides on a calendar with gorgeous guys and dogs but Holly knows that she needs help with the photography and maybe she will ask one of the web designers, Jonathan Summers. But she doesn’t have much time and Jonathan has a reputation for being grumpy.
Holly just wanted to land the full time position but the more she was around Jonathan the more she wanted to know about him while they worked on the calendar to raise money.
I love how Holly and Jonathan had to work together on the calendar trying to win the fundraising competition at Global Conservation League and start over with new careers.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book from the author and NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

This story was such cute rom-com! I loved their meet cute with her getting stuck in the pantry and all the antics with the dogs. The backdrop of the company contest with the internship out of the country was a nice touch, it added a bit of urgency to the plot. I would recommend this book for people who like low (but not no) spice, office place romances, and great banter!
Thank you to Netgalley, Anna E Collins and Forever (Grand Central Publishing) for the arc. All reviews are left honestly and voluntarily.

Loved. The banter was hilarious, lowkey blackmailing him to help with her calendar to begin with was just funny. Throw in hot men with their dogs and nature and sell it to help fundraise? Classic. Absolutely loved this

this book was absolutely adorable.it was such a fun read. i loved all the characters and the chemistry between jonathan and holly was amazing. i loved how the author set up another romance to be continued in another book (they are just the cutest). i loved the plot although it was very stressful and poor holly didn’t need all those curve balls thrown at her. this book was definitely a cute and spicy read that i would recommend! 4/5

Finding Mr. July is a cute grumpy/sunshine, co-worker romance. I think Holly and Jonathon's characters really help each other grow and explore new passions. The premise of the intern competition for a full time job seemed a little unrealistic but I have heard of companies doing weirder things so maybe. There are a lot of cute dog descriptions in here. If you are a dog person, you'll love this!
Thank you to Forever and NetGalley!

Finding Mr. July follows Holly, a former corporate lawyer turned environmental nonprofit intern, as she dives headfirst into a high-stakes fundraising competition. The prize? A full-time position in Scotland. Her winning idea—a steamy nature calendar featuring hunky men and adorable dogs—is as bold as it is brilliant. But to pull it off, Holly has to team up with the grumpy, mysterious office loner, Jonathan. Safe to say, the calendar isn’t the only thing heating up. 😉
I had such a fun time with this book! In a romance world brimming with familiar tropes, Finding Mr. July felt like a breath of fresh air. The plot was clever and original, and the characters—yes, even the side ones—were full of depth and personality. The writing is effortlessly readable, making it one of those stories you can tear through in one sitting.
It’s easy these days for romance to fall into formula, but Anna took the time to build something more layered. Holly’s journey explores what it means to start over when life doesn't go according to plan—and how unexpected detours can lead to exactly where you’re meant to be.
This is the perfect pick for readers looking for a light, feel-good romance with heart. Fans of Sarah Adams, Abby Jimenez, and Katherine Center will feel right at home. And if you’re a dog lover? Don’t walk—run—to grab this one. 🐶🥹

A fun premise and I love a story where folks are changing course and starting new things in their lives.
Unfortunately, it fell flat for me and I didn't enjoy it as much as I wanted to.

Holly was a successful lawyer, up for partner when an incident occurred that made her leave the profession and start from scratch as an intern for a non-profit. Only one intern can get the permanent role (all the way in Scotland) but the intern has to win the fundraising competition, and Holly is determined to win. The only way she has a shot at winning is if Jonathan Summers, the cranky creative guy at the office, helps her. The two start off the competition partnership with a tequila induced steamy beginning but then they become friends, but maybe they will be much more, even if Holly is hopefully going to Scotland soon.
This was fun and a bit spicy - exactly what I wanted on a Friday in the summer. I’m a sucker for a book that has dogs and this one has a whole bunch of dogs! I am generally wary of the enemies to lovers trope (because sometimes it gets rather silly and I don’t love that) but here it worked for me and their banter never went over the top. I enjoyed the main characters’ story lines and interactions with each other. I listened to about 1/4 of this one and I wish I could have listened to more but the day lead to more reading than listening.
Thank you to Forever and NetGalley for the ARC to review

Hot guys, dogs, and just enough workplace chaos—yes please.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This one’s for the dog moms, the slow-burn lovers, and anyone who’s ever fantasized about hooking up with the office grump and turning it into a calendar fundraiser. (Just me? Cool.)
Holly’s career is in freefall, Jonathan’s brooding with a camera, and the two of them together? Total opposites-attract gold. There’s banter, dogs, and some genuinely sweet moments—plus a few messy ones to keep things interesting.
It’s light, it’s flirty, and it’s got enough emotional depth to make you almost forgive the third-act drama.
If you love sunshine x grump and shirtless men with puppies... you’re gonna eat this up. 🐶🔥

This book is fun, but I didn’t sense any real chemistry between Holly and Jonathan. Also, there wasn’t much at stake to keep me reading. DNF at 58%.
Thanks, NetGalley, for the ARC I received. This is my honest and voluntary review.

This book is mostly a cozy cute romance, but I can’t label it as cozy because there are a few lightly spicy scenes. It’s a story that could be filmed as a Hallmark romance. Holly is starting over after as an intern after an incident with her ex, such forces her out of her company. In her new position, she’s trying to win a coveted position to work in Scotland. She photographs make models with dogs for fundraiser, and the photographer is the love interest.
Thank you NetGalley for the tonight to review this book!

I thought this was a good read. The banter between the characters was engaging especially because of the grumpy v sunshine aspect. The dog/model part of the storyline was fun. I didn’t always enjoy the main character and how she found her models felt unnecessarily deceitful. Overall an enjoyable read, especially if you like:
-workplace romance
-grumpy sunshine
-slow burn
-great dialogue
Thank you to Forever for the opportunity to read an early copy, all thoughts and opinions are my own.

This was a cute, easy to read, mid-life, grumpy-sunshine workplace romance that was a great reminder that it’s ok to start over and that life is about more than having the right job. The characters were all likable and their relationship development was cute. The story premise was unique, and what’s not to love when dogs are involved?! One thing that’s I did not like was the third act conflict between the 2 main characters. They are written to be mid 30s and it felt that they were acting immature for their age and the situation. Overall it was an enjoyable read and I would read other books by this author. Thank you to the author, publisher, and NetGalley for the ARC in return for my honest review.

Finding Mr. July was such a cute read, with a creative premise! The initial idea of working on a fundraiser calendar with adorable puppies and hot guys had me instantly interested in finding out more! I loved seeing Holly and Jonathan work together on the calendar, and thought they complemented each other so well. A good romcom wouldn’t be complete without tons of witty banter, and they definitely have that covered! Author Anna E. Collins does a great job of conveying their chemistry, even though they seem like total opposites at first glance. The sense of place was so strong throughout the book, too—I was fully immersed in the world Collins has created.
I also liked Holly’s overall storyline a lot! When readers first meet her, she’s in the middle of a huge career change at 34. She previously worked in law, but is now transitioning into the nonprofit realm, and is currently working as an intern. Trying a new career or taking on a new role can be so intimidating no matter how old you are, which line of work you’re in, etc., and Holly’s whole journey was super well-done. Her character really shows that it’s never too late to try something new, and her excitement and enthusiasm in the process were wonderful to read about!
If you love workplace settings and/or the grumpy/sunshine trope in your romcoms, I’d especially recommend checking out Finding Mr. July! It was a lovely, heartwarming read that would be perfect for any romance reader’s summer TBR. Thank you to NetGalley and Forever for the ARC.

This book was a fun read and the banter between the main characters was funny. I enjoyed the sense of place and looked up all the different places the photos for the calendar were taken. The side characters’ romance was sweet as well.
If you love workplace romance and grumpy/sunshine tropes, add this book to your TBR.
Thanks to @netgalley and @readforeverpub for the advanced reader copy.

I enjoyed this book so much!! Romance and pups? YES PLEASE.
This was such a fun and heartfelt romcom. It had workplace romance and grumpy/sunshine vibes. Holly and Jonathan’s witty banter was so much fun to read. They had me giggling out loud. Plus I really loved how they both grew personally in their own relationships while also being able to work on things they’d been avoiding for quite some time. Things between them were a bit spicy so I give it 2 🌶️ out of 5.
The whole situation of the pup calendar for Holly’s work competition was so cute! I loved seeing who the models would end up being and the pups that joined them. I do feel like the ending of that specific plot went on a little long but overall, didn’t take away from my enjoyment of reading the book.
Some favorite moments: the model search, the beagles, the photoshoot moment on the rooftop.
Thank you so much NetGalley, Forever and Anna E. Collins for the ARC in exchange of an honest review.

Thank you to NetGalley, Hachette Audio, Forever, and Anna E. Collins for the chance to read this book in exchange for my honest review.
This is such a cute workplace/forced proximity romance. Both Holly and Jonathan's career and personal lives were at a pivotal moment and that was used as a great tool to show growth.
The premise of working on a fundraiser calendar featuring hot guys and dogs definitely got my attention! The way Jonathan's photos were described- I wished I could see them... especially his...
Narration was very well done. I would absolutely seek out books narrated by Lauren Ezzo again!

Thank you to Forever and Anna Collins for this ARC.
As a dog mom, I adore that Anna Collins always includes dogs in her novels; it seriously speaks to my soul. Finding Mr. July is a cute, fun, and heartwarming story, with the perfect blend of grumpy and sunny energy, and mid-30s workplace romance vibes.
The banter is top-notch, and I absolutely loved the MMC. He actually communicated (like, full sentences and emotions), and it made the chemistry sizzle even more. The single POV kept things tight and character-driven, and the pacing never dragged.
The one downside? The third-act conflict felt forced, and the resolution a bit off. But honestly, the sweet, satisfying ending made up for it.
📚 What to expect:
🐶 Hot guys with dogs
🌞 Grumpy x sunshine
💼 Workplace romance
❤️ Real communication
👀 Single POV
If you're into cozy, chemistry-filled reads with heart (and dogs), this one's for you.
