Such a great book. Couldn't stop reading it. Thank you for my advance reader copy. Can't wait to look up other books from this author.

Never have I read a book simply from it's title but this is the one. I got quite a few laughs over this, and I'm pretty sure I'd wear a t-shirt with this on it. Anyway, this was definitely a book different than any other that I have read, and I enjoyed reading most of it. And I pretty sure you will too. Just remember it's fiction.

I received this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

A fun and entertaining sequel. A recommended purchase for collections where crime and thrillers are popular.

This book is FULL of trigger warnings full of abuse towards females. I couldn't finish. However I did find the main character and how the author writes enjoyable.

Kitty Collins has decided to make a change in her life. Previously, she'd made it her mission to murder bad men, usually as painfully as possible. After accidentally killing the wrong man and now being in a happy relationship, she decides to just attend women's trauma group meetings instead and swears off her former murderous ways. At one meeting, however, she hears a story about a traumatized young woman who has been victimized by a powerful man and she's unable to control her murderous impulses. She'll be doing the world a favor by getting rid of a predator. At the same time, her estranged mother has suddenly turned up to bring Kitty and her boyfriend Charlie to France for her upcoming wedding, and she's not going to take no for an answer, despite how this might mess up Kitty's murderous routine. Kitty and her mother inherited vast wealth after the death (assisted) of her abattoir owning scumbag of a father. This allows them to wear expensive designer clothing while not having to bother with a pesky job. When Kitty arrives in Cannes, she's immediately suspicious of her mother's fiancé. He's much younger and gorgeous. When Kitty observes him for a while, she notes some even more questionable behavior. Her mother is in love, but it's up to Kitty to make sure a potential bad man doesn't marry her mother. When Charlie is called away for a work emergency and is suddenly ignoring her calls, Kitty's panic and murderous rage will have to find an outlet somewhere. Oh, and she's also being targeted and antagonized by an online misogynist who claims he's going to murder her, so she'll have to get to him first.

I enjoyed the really funny situations and the way Kitty can rationalize even the most outrageous behavior. The only strange thing is that as she's swanning around Cannes planning various evil deeds, she seems to forget quite often that someone is stalking her. I guess since she's been so successful in the murder business it makes her feel invincible. Even though she's very morally questionable, you can't help but root for Kitty to get away with it all!

Kitty is back and is trying so hard to be good. Unfortunately, men just don’t know how to stop being dicks and Kitty soon has no choice but to go back to her old tricks. Hiding this part of herself from her love and with her mother getting married, Kitty’s under a lot of stress. Thank God killing people gives her some relief! Snarky, humorous, and some new revelations, this story was another fun one. I love Kitty as a character & I can’t wait for another book featuring her. My only complaint was the over the top stuff towards the end.

First five star book of the year! (I said what I said.)
The pace: Perfection. 🤌🏻
The humor: Laugh out loud!
How an author can write a book about a vengeful vegan serial killer and make it feel like chick lit? Superb sorcery. 👏🏻

Thank you so much to Netgalley and Harper360 for this ARC!

Dark, Twisty, but fun overall.
It's good to know some things in this one is pure tongue-in-cheek.
My only complaint it could have been a tad bit shorter.
but still enjoyable.

I BET YOU’D LOOK GOOD IN A COFFIN ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5. Kitty Collins is back! And she is now a reformed vigilante justice murder! She has stopped murdering, and even given up her social media page of a million followers! She is on the mend! Her estranged mother announces she’s getting married, and Kitty and her boyfriend Charlie are invited to France for the nuptials, but who is her mysterious fiancé? When Kitty begins getting stalked online, too many things feel out of place. This book was super fun, a quick read, a good balance of humor and wit, with real redemption for woman, and issues we face. Just like the first book, I couldn’t put it down, and kept rooting for this anti-hero! Hoping we can get more of Kitty and her redemptive tales.

I received an ARC of this ebook from NetGalley and Harper 360 in exchange for my honest review! How to Kill Men and Get Away With It was one of my favorite reads of 2023 and I was very excited to find out it was getting a sequel. It did not disappoint. This had a gripping storyline, the darkest humor, and a very satisfying ending. One of my favorite book tropes is killing the patriarchy and this book executes that perfectly.

I'm on the fence with this one. The premise is intriguing, but the main character comes across as overly whiny—which feels out of place for a serial killer. I expected some dark humor or witty remarks, but the book fell short in that department. Instead, it felt more like a critique of men than a sharp, entertaining thriller. The protagonist seemed too weak to convincingly carry out the killings, making it hard to buy into her role. Rather than a fearsome murderer, she read more like someone in serious need of mental health care. That said, I did enjoy the mystery element. Even though this is the second book in the series, I had no trouble following along.

I got this from Netgalley, but these opinions are my own.

Thank you to both #NetGalley and Harper 360 for providing me an advance copy of Katy Brent's latest #mysterythriller, I Bet You'd Look Good in a Coffin, in exchange for an honest review.

#IBetYoudLookGoodinaCoffin is book two in the Kitty Collins series, the follow-up to #HowtoKillMenandGetAwayWithIt. While it is possible to read this sequel as a standalone, the characters and callbacks will make much more sense if you read both books in order...Obviously.

Self-proclaimed, female #Dexter and protagonist, Kitty Collins, has been "murder-sober" for a year. Between her perfect relationship with her boyfriend Charlie and the deeper connections she has established with her two best friends, Tor and Maisie, life is good. Well, mostly good, with one minor exception: Blaze Bundy.

Blaze Bundy is an anonymous social media influencer who promotes content that is rife with misogyny, and whose vast following consists of an incel base. Although Kitty is aware these sorts of accounts are a trigger that induces her rage, which in turn, strengthens her desire to murder, she cannot help herself—especially, not after Blaze starts sending her threatening DMs because now it is personal.

The urge to kill again steadily grows when in addition to the Blaze fiasco, her best friend Tor starts dating her therapist, a new member with a horrific backstory joins the AWA, and in a surprise twist, her mother is getting remarried in ten days to a man whom Kitty has never met, which involves a detour to Cannes. The mounting stress becomes overwhelming and Kitty finally snaps, breaking her murder-less streak.

Book two returns with crazier antics, darker undertones, several mystery subplots, and more black comedy than ever. I was genuinely concerned that the sophomore follow-up would not exceed the hilarity and success of book one, but it equally delivered. Personally, I enjoyed the deeper foray into the macabre.

For fans of the series or readers seeking something different, add this novel to your #2025summer reading list stat!

While I loved the first book, I struggled with this one. Yes, these men were bad but Kitty makes it seem like ALL men are bad. I felt her anger was misplaced at times and just couldn't connect with her in this book.

"Imagine living an entire life without feeling afraid. It’s inconceivable to me."

I support women's rights and sometimes their wrongs, and I 100% support Kitty's wrongs! Kitty Collins is a kitty that always lands on her feet! Our girl gets herself into some tense situations but her badassery always wins in the end.

This was a book I didn’t know I needed and I devoured it in a day. All of the characters had such depth to them and were fully developed. I adored the main character, Kitty’s, internal dialogue. I fully identified with the women in her angry women’s support group and feel that most if not all women can identify and understand her reasoning for murder.

I would theorize throughout the book what was going to happen or who was BB and every time I thought I got it right a plot twist would happen or more information was given that had me screaming. The plot twists were unexpected in the best way, and the ending had me in happy tears.

I felt seen by the characters and the author. This truly is a book for all women, especially if you love mysteries and thrillers. I was arguing to myself in defense of Kitty when things went awry and wallowed with her when pitfalls happened.
Love the main characters and will read anything about them that comes in the future.
