I was so excited to read this especially as the ending of the first book was so surprising!
This had the same energy and fun of the first book with the same surprise.
It did take a while to get going but once it did I was hocked.

I really loved how the story unfolded and how everything ended.
I loved the world and I am sad that it ended.

I honestly expected the sequel to have far more action and less back and forth dialogue. The characters were interesting but the creative names of places and people were a bit hard to keep track of. I lost interest in some of the plot points and subplots very quickly however. I did enjoy the main character's wit and honesty in her struggles to maintain queenhood.

A fantastic conclusion to the duology. A well crafted story with incredible characters, and such a layered world. I can't wait to see more from Tiffany Wang.

I haven’t read the first book in the series, but I was surprised by how quickly I was able to immerse myself in Teia’s world. The story picks up six months after her hard-won rise to power, and from the first chapter, I was drawn into the tension between her past betrayals and the high-stakes mission ahead. The writing is vivid, and the pacing is tight, with a good balance of political intrigue, personal conflict, and hints of romance.
Teia is a compelling protagonist—flawed, determined, and wrestling with the weight of her choices. I especially appreciated the layers in her dynamic with Tobias, which felt authentic and emotionally charged. The threat of Cornelius Lehm and the looming legendary creature added a sense of urgency that kept me turning pages.
That said, there were moments where I wished for more context from the first book—some character motivations and world-building details felt slightly out of reach. Still, it didn’t stop me from investing in the stakes or caring about the characters.
Overall, this book delivers an emotionally charged fantasy adventure with just enough grit and heart. I’ll definitely be going back to read book

I am so sad that this story is over! I had the privilege to at. Read the first book last year and now the honor to arc read the sequel. Thank you so much to the publisher and the author for trusting me with your work.
I think this duology is criminally underhyped. The first book in the series was so good but this second book was AMAZING!
This book has everything! Found family, romance, heists, political intrigue, sarcasm and humor. The sprinkling of romance throughout is enough to make you giddy and kick your feet. The fact that Tobias can hardly say a word yet make my heart race speaks for itself.
Enna is one of my favorite side characters. She’s witty and so unserious with a silver tongue. Teia is the best anti hero I’ve ever read with grey morales and a soft spot for those she loves. Very few people get under her thick skin but when they do, she is loyal to a fault. The entire cast of characters is so likeable and relatable that I find myself wanting to be a part of their crew.
This book included another heist, similar to book one which we love to see, and some unexpected magical trials. AND THE PLOT TWIST AT THE END!!!! Truly had my jaw on the floor and was so well done that I didn’t even see it coming. I’m so sad this story is ending but am so glad it exists because it’s an amazing read. I highly recommend!

Tempest’s Queen picks up where Inferno’s heir left off and we get to see the consequences of Teia’s actions at the end of book 1. We travel to Shaylan and meet some new characters and reunite with some old ones on a quest to stop Lehm from raising the Serkawr. The scheming, heists, and battles did not disappoint. I did not see the twist at the end coming and the end had me in tears (both happy and sad!)
Thank you to Tiffany Wang, Bindery Books, Violetear, and NetGalley for an ARC!

The queen has won her crown. Now, she must prove she’s worthy to wear it.
Tempest's Queen picks up where we left off in Inferno's Heir, and the author Tiffany Wang delivers nonstop action until the final page. Whereas book one set up the political climate of Teia's world and introduced us to our cast of characters, Tempest's Queen dives into the repercussions of her choices and how they have shaped the fate of those around her.
Teia has so much growth in this book becoming a better and stronger version of herself. This is a healing book of self discovery for Teia with plenty of adventure, heists and schemes. I love how she is always one step ahead of everyone. Even the reader! She gives me Ocean’s 11 vibes when she lets you in on the scheme!
I did find some parts less engaging then some but still think this is a great read and a good ending for Teia’s story but I hope there is more to come from Tiffany Wangs world because there is a lot more that can come from the series!

My praises from The Inferno's Heir hold up perfectly here. Teia is still an amazing protagonist, and the chemistry she shares with the side characters, both familiar and new, is still delightful as ever. The heist shenanigans aren't as intriguing here as they were in the first book, but you can't break into a prison twice in the same series. Besides, it still was fun and never failed to show off Teia's intelligence and cunning.
My wish for more worldbuilding was fulfilled here. Shaylan felt just as rich and fleshed as out Erisha, and Teia's perspective as a newcomer to her mom's homeland provided interesting perspectives. I do hope Wang gets to explore the other three kingdoms in a sister series, though, because even though Teia's story ends here, there's so much potential to explore the remaining kingdoms through the eyes of another protagonist.
Overall, I really liked this duology, and I hope to come back to it in the future (When I have the time; I still have so much other stuff I need to catch up on).

Thank you to Tiffany Wang and NetGalley for the ARC! All opinions are my own.
Now onto the book!
I loved TEMPEST'S QUEEN more than I did it's predecessor. Teia is still Morally ambitious, morally ambiguous, and willing to stab people in the back. Now, she has a crown to go alongside it, and this time she is trying to help her cousin grom.bejng attacked.
Like the first novel of this duology, Teia is someone you root for but she's also a bit like her own villain. There's twists and betrayals, love and angst, and it's all so well written you won't want it to end.
Some reviewers have stated they wished the ending was different or that there was more to it, but I thought it suited the text well and, overall, made for a wonderful conclusion to a very, very good duology.

I didn’t realize this was a sequel when I requested it but I really enjoyed this after reading book 1! I thought Teia was a fantastic main character and this book was just as good as the first one. The plot was super engaging and I had a really great time with this.

Beautifully written, action packed, but still left me wanting more!
The second book in this duology has our main cast of characters in turmoil after Teia has forcefully taken her place upon the throne. She must now travel to the homeland of her mother to try and stop the destructive plans of Dawnbreaker leader Lehm.
Filled with lots of distrust, miscommunication, and haphazard planning -- a wild ride! Feel like all of these characters deserved more of an HEA than they got.

The story is well paced and the writing is good (fluid, descriptive, and I like that the story is not too dependent on dialogue). I really enjoyed the characters. I do think the language could have been a little more in-line with whatever time period or world the author envisioned. I find that when the language flows but then you see the word "hurl" or something like that, it takes you out of the flow of the fiction and breaks the fantasy.

Bindery is absolutely killing it with all their books and this is no exception! I love the premise of the story and the execution didn't fail. I was so invested right from the start and it kept my interest, making it hard to put the book down.

What an absolutely thrilling finale to a wonderful duology! Tempest’s Queen had me hooked from start to finish—Tiffany Wang really delivered. The stakes were high, the emotions were real, and the twists were SO GOOD. I’m not ready to say goodbye to these characters—they’ve completely stolen my heart. I'm going to be thinking about this one for a long time.
Thank you NetGalley and Bindery Books for this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I've received "Tempest Queen" as an ARC. My review is my honest opinion.
After the surprising ending of the first book, we end up with a queen, a thief, the Poison Master, the champion, a lord who was a rebel, an emperor (a cousin of the queen), an advisor and the Society of Thieves that work together to stop a very bad man from doing a very, very bad thing. The same qualities of the first book are still there - the world building, the twists and turns, intrigues, betrayal and the power that corrupts many, the humour and the fellowship. The ending is a bit sad, but very satisfying.
I recommend the duology to anyone who wants to read high fantasy with a strong FMC who will burn the world down if needed and/or command the water in the laungs to drown you where you stand. There are multiple love stories if you are looking for romance in fantasy books, but they are not overshadowing the rest of the tale. Very well written, beautifully imagined and breathtakingly surprising. Just as I like it. Would I allow my kids to read this? Absolutely yes.

Firstly, as always the cover of this book is absolutely stunning, I didn’t think we could get better after the first but I was clearly wrong!
Tempests Queen starts where we left off, and our Teia is on a journey to her homeland, where there are new and old friends to meet and love, whilst working towards finally defeating Lehm.
My favourite part of the book was for sure the further exploration of the five kingdoms, I thought this was done in a really well rounded way and I found it really engaging. I loved the way this expanded and completed the overall world building that started in book one.
I loved how this book rounded up a conclusion from its previous nicely, I think the pacing was a little slow at times but for the most part I was engaged and wanting to find out more and more.
I adore our characters (Kyra is my personal fave forever).
Overall I did enjoy this book but I just think book one will forever be a sweet spot for me!

Thank you Bindery Books.
Tiffany WANG. WHEN I FIND YOU. I WILL PROBABLY BE MAD. But I love this book. It's the perfect conclusion. I just cannot describe my thoughts right now.

4.5/5 stars - any book that makes me cry gets bonus points. This book was even better than the first. The ease of the storytelling, the twists, the betrayals, the highs and lows. It's really well done. Thank you NetGalley for the ARC copy - this book releases in October 2025.
After having betrayed everyone and everything, Teia is now Queen. But is she fit to wear the crown? If she any better than her monster of a half brother before her? With her new reign on shaky grounds, Teia decides she must set off to her mothers homeland across the sea to warn the kingdom of the coming danger and plot of an old foe (Lehm) who is back in the picture. This begins a massive quest for Teia and a rag tag group to work to uncover the scheme and save not only her kingdom, but all kingdoms.

Tempest's Queen was everything I wanted in a sequel. I was once again gripped by the writing and pulled into the story, along for the ride right alongside Teia. What a wild ride it was, so much action and intrigue packed into the story, there was never a dull moment. This is absolutely an author that I will be excitedly watching for more to come!
