I loved this book ! I’m a massive fan of below deck so when I read this book was similar to the show I had to read it.

This is my first book by the author and I definitely can’t wait to read more.

The main character is likeable and easy to relate to, the other characters have a character have you questioning should you like them.

With so many twist you never know what to expect next.

Thank you for the advanced copy netgallery and Sian

i loved how much of my time this book took up. there is nothing better than having no guilt over how much joy you get from a book and just want to go all in and continue...and on until the end. this book has that for me. it was one of those thriller that are almost joyous in there thrill making, you are almost rubbing your hands together at both the goings on and plot reveals.
the characters not all likeable were still ones i wanted to hear more from every time their point of view came around and only made me more invested the more i new.
the book gives us a super yacht. yes one of those almost disgustingly super super yachts( jealous,me,never) and Sasha gets her dream job as one of the crew. or as we should call it for these types of money shes going to be a stewardess. and she needs this, she needs this escape. but wow little does she know this will not be an escape at all.
when she arrives she finds people who look, well, like her. weird. they are all blonde and beautiful(yawn). to add to being like everyone else she doesnt feel nice feelings off any of them. they are all in it for themselves. and the head member is determined things will run smoothly this time. for they wont be mentioning the missing things or accident that occurred last time will they? will they?
there are secrets and accusations going on and around everyone. everyday new things comes up. new whispers are spread. and new developments in people plots or backstory gives us more of a window into who they are.
are any of them actually likeable? do more people know what is going on on this boat? and jut what is going on on this boat?
and then... a death. or more like a murder. and things keep unravelling from there on in. you thought this lot were messy before. well you saw nothing to what happens now.
because to survive they might need to work together more than they'd first like. to uncover the killer might be the only things that means they arent swimming among the fishes and making it to land.

Below Deck meets Death in Paradise

I quite enjoyed this book and not having read any previous books by Sian Gilbert I felt this book was well written with a good twist at the end.

I did feel with the amount of different POV it was sometimes difficult to understand which character we were following and often had to go back to check so it made more sense. At times the characters were very unlikeable which in turn made certain chapters less enjoyable.

The story was over-the-top but the book felt like a guilty pleasure read.

The chapters were kept fairly short which I do prefer and I really enjoyed this read. I liked the twist at the end.

I was a big big fan of Sian Gilbert's first novel so I was ecstatic to get an early copy of her latest! Described as a Below Deck-inspired locked room mystery, I DID WARN HER is chock full of suspense, scandal and love-to-hate-them characters.

The story follows Sasha, who recently quit her job as a nurse and has taken a new job as a stewardess on a superyacht. On board, she discovers all her fellow stewardesses look exactly the same as she does: blond hair and striking looks. Even more unsettling is the fact a crew member died on the last trip, and now it's happening again. Sasha comes up against a plethora of obstacles as the yacht crosses the Atlantic, including privileged guests, cut-throat stewardesses, stolen jewellery, a missing knife, and essential, life-saving equipment going missing.

Told through multiple POVs, I DID WARN HER is fast-paced, twisty, and full of suspense. I really vibed with the twists and the characters, who all had their own secrets and lies and many of whom were the very definition of "love to hate them". Sian Gilbert really excels with creating characters who are chaotic and flawed but don't cross into that caricature territory.

I had a great time with this book, particularly with how fun and entertaining it was and how propulsive it was with the twists, especially towards the end. Definitely looking forward to more from this author!

First of all thank you for approving my request!

I thoroughly enjoyed this book! The authors writing style had me hooked throughout this book.

I didn't want it to end, a book I really couldn't put down.

Have you ever looked at one of those incredible superyachts and imagined life onboard? Well Sian Gilbert brings us into the world of the uber-rich in "I Did Warn Her", a twisty, unpredictable whodunnit, set upon a luxurious superyacht, where nothing is as it seems and the life of all on board is never safe. This is a fast-paced and very enjoyable novel

I loved this! I’m a huge below deck fan and my favorite genre of books is thrillers so this was a match made in heaven! I loved the plot, so many twists as well that I didn’t see coming! I loved all of the characters, especially Sasha!! Loved!!

I love Below Deck and a locked room mystery but unfortunately this book was not for me. The dialogue felt clunky and at times the plot was a little all over the place. Almost felt like Below Deck fan fiction

The Ophelia is a superyacht, providing unforgettable charter trips to the extremely wealthy and their friends. But this is a boat with a difference. For one thing, all the female staff are required to look like each other - uniformly blonde and beautiful.

But there are other secrets beneath the surface too. And the newest recruit, Sasha, is determined to unearth one of those secrets - even if it is dangerous. Because she has a secret of her own...

An engaging story with a lot of action, this tale utilises several character viewpoints to good effect. Definitely worth a read!

This book is fast-paced with so much going on all on board the super yacht Ophelia. The story follow Sasha, a nurse who needs a change from her job so signs up last minute to be a stewardess on board a luxury super yacht. When she arrives she realises that all the stewardesses look identical to each other and that they aren't particularly nice to her. The yacht seems to hold some secrets from the previous season and Sasha is unsure at first what to think, but when one of the stewardesses is found floating face down, SashaI then starts to try to unravel the secrets that the yacht and the crew hold.

The book covers each crew members view point in different chapters and I found this quite confusing, I'd be half way though a chapter and I wouldn't be able to remember who it was about, so I'd have to scroll back through. It didn't detract from the story at all and it's because so many of the characters are so similar in personality, looks and what happens to them.

I enjoyed the story from start to finish, never really knowing what was going to happen next and to who. As I said there is so much going on within the story that trying to work it out was near impossible. I wouldn't;t necessarily say there were loads of twists and turns but the story reads well and makes sense (though at times it seemed a bit extreme and I wasn't sure whether things would happen it that way in real life). The characters were pleasantly unlikeable, but they were meant to be nasty to each other and treat each other badly as that's a part of the storyline, and it all makes sense come the end.

My first Sian Gilbert read, I'll definitely be looking out for her other book and having a read of that, I really enjoyed it and will never go on a super yacht so I'm safe!

This is a gripping thriller that keeps readers on the edge of their seats from start to finish. a great plot
filled with unexpected twists and turns, making it impossible to predict what will happen next.
The writing is both engaging and suspenseful with great pacing keeping you hooked.
The setting is described so well, creating an immersive atmosphere that enhances the overall reading experience.
Highly recommended!

I loved this one! The setting first caught my interest - a locked room mystery on board a super yacht, count me in! The author made really good use of this setting and I could picture it all really easily.

I loved the multiple perspectives, and even though the characters all looked alike, they were very distinct and all had their own individual personalities. Every character had secrets to uncover and it was entertaining trying to work out which secrets led to murder and which were just red herrings.

I found the writing style really nice to read, and the book was well paced. I would 100% recommend this book.

Wow, this drew me in instantly and I was hooked throughout.

The short sharp chapters made it very easy to whizz through, and even having chapters focusing on all the various stewardesses, who all look identical as per the owner's preferences, it's made quite easy to tell whose chapter it is as they do have distinct personalities. We also get to focus on one of the guests on board and Jasmine is one of my favourite characters.

I also love Sasha the new junior stew, who is running away from life, and thought working on a superyacht would be just the ticket. Well until things start to go wrong, as no matter how big, sleek and shiny the Ophelia looks, internally well it's not great.

There are things going missing, including staff, and not just this charter season either.

I absolutely love a thriller based on a super yacht and this was no exception. I had no idea what was going to happen next, or who the killer was, but one this is for sure this is one super bitchy crew and no one seems to really get along with anyone else.

This is definitely where you end up keeping your enemies close, and where all the normal rules go out the window once you are out at sea.

With a final quarter that had me unable to look away, unable to do anything than keep reading as the drama ramps up. I was never sure how it would end and I am so glad I have now discovered this author. I was totally enthralled by every aspect of this book.

Thank you to Penguin and Netgalley for this copy which I have reviewed honestly and voluntarily.

A really good read, gripping and thrilling. I've never watched Below Deck but I imagine it would appeal to fans and is a great thriller.

Sasha gets a job on a superyacht, trying to escape something traumatic. She is able to work under a captain who is closing out his career and is ready for retirement after this final season. What she doesn't realise is that she is entering a world of secrets, lies and a very toxic environment which in turn will lead to the death of one, if not more of the crew.

For me, the story was solid, but the execution is lacking.

We are slowly introduced to each of the members of the team as she is doing her welcome walk through and everyone seems to have an agenda or seems to be sleeping with someone aboard.

The perspective of the book is split between several of the female crew members and a female guest. I found it hard to keep up with which crew member I was reading, especially when it come to their activities after hours because they all seemed to be involved with someone at one stage or another. The only perspective that was clear to distinguish was that of the female guest as they have a clear objective.

If you like a single location book, with a lot of he said/she said then this is the book for you. Although I didn't enjoy it as much as I thought I would, it was still a good read and a pretty good introduction to the genre as a whole

This is such a good yarn. Within only a few pages i was resubscribing to Hayu so that i could re-binge Below Deck! The characters are mostly despicable just like in the TV shows which makes it a delicious read with compelling twists and turns. Who’s the bed guy when they’re all so horrible? There are lots of hidden threads from characters pasts but it never feels confusing and its all concluded neatly and cleanly. I did find the first section a bit confusing with so many stewardesses who looked the same, I found it hard to distinguish them at times but got there in the end. Really enjoyed it!

This story is told from multiple pov, so much so I had to make notes. Even with my notes, I gave up trying to figure out which stewardess was, which. They are so similar!
Despite being slightly clueless, I did enjoy this book. If you like destination thrillers and/or a locked room mystery, this is the book for you.
A quick read, with plenty of finger pointing and twists. It kept me guessing as to who could and couldn't be trusted and had a tension filled ending with a nice final twist.
It's anything but smooth sailing on this yacht with murder, blackmail and secrets waiting to be revealed.

Thank you so much to Netgalley, Penguin Random House, and Sian Gilbert for the advance copy of I Did Warn Her to read and review. My opinions are my own.

This was my first book by this author and I found it a really enjoyable and fast paced read.
Sasha has been hired to work as a stewardess on the super yacht The Ophelia and has no idea what lays in store.
Murders, secrets, blackmail and plenty of scores to settle with well written characters. I didn’t know who to trust and the ending was excellent and totally unexpected.

A bunch of look alike blonde girls all work on this ship. It turns into one big competition: each one trying to stab the others in the back to be the best. Then one ends up dead. It was very slow in the middle, but overall it was ok.

Glitzy Whodunit…
The Ophelia - a luxury super yacht with a, perhaps, ominous title - has every single amenity. Owned by a billionaire, fully staffed with a crew who are there to keep guests happy and content. Sasha is the latest recruit, last minute, for the next week long crossing. On her arrival she is perturbed to note that every single stewardess looks exactly like her. To onlookers, the super yacht is the height of hedonism - but something heinous lurks and when a body is discovered, secrets and lies may out. Glamorous and glitzy whodunit in the world of the super rich where nothing is quite as it first appears with a deftly drawn and credible cast of characters populating a pacy and menacing plot. Dark and compelling.
