This was so enjoyable. I have been secretly rooting for Hannah Brown to find her feet in writing and this book is proof positive that she is doing just that. This story was a little wild because Sybil is a little wild. So some of the mishaps and adventures were a little much. But learning about her as the story unfolds just makes us love her and the book even more. Filled with good character growth, a beautiful setting and great found family, The Four Engagements was fun and satisfying. Its pretty much the beach read we need this summer.

Sybil has been engaged three times to three very different men. We follow her story as she goes on vacation in Hawaii, a trip that was supposed to be for her honeymoon. Sybil reflects on her previous relationships and we learn a bit about her first fiance who was emotionally abusive, her second fiance who feels much more opposite, and her last fiance. With a happy ending this book felt empowering to the main character who we could see had grown in her various relationships.

Yes yes absolute yes! This book was stunning. The characters the plot the nods to Hannah herself. It was genuinely one of my fav rom coms.

I admit I was expecting a lot less from The Four Engagement Rings of Sybil Rain. The premise is fairly high concept, and I thought it would be another cheesy 'throw-away' summer vacation romance, but this new novel from Hannah Brown is so much more.
When you hear someone has been engaged three times but never married, what do you think of them? Commitment-phobe? Too easily swept away by a little bit of romance? Indecisive? Not serious enough? It's an embarrassing statistic (just ask Ross Gellar about his marital history), but unless you know the whole story, don't be so quick to judge.
Relationships are complicated. We find people in different ways, and they can complement different sides of who we are. People also change and grow and need different things at different times in their lives. But when your third engagement blows up just days before the alter, even you might start to question what is wrong with you.
Oh Sybil, you beautiful soul. She is doing her best.
I really don't want to spoil any of this story for you, so I won't talk about the history of her love life except to say she has run into the latest of her three fiancées at a resort in Hawai'i and it leads to her confronting her past and learning to accept and love herself in a way she's never been able to before.
This book is about growth and forgiveness. It's about coming into your own, meeting yourself where you are, and understanding yourself in new ways. It's an exploration of maturity and relationships and even mental wellness to some degree. It takes quite a bit to push me over the edge into top-tier territory, but Sybil Rain earned every last one of these five stars.
Note:: I received an early copy of this book from the publisher through netgalley in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read this arc.
I really enjoyed this book as much as I liked the first one. I enjoyed going through Sybil’s blast through the pasts as she revisited her three engagements. Each relationship played a hand in shaping Sybil into who she was as a character, and I enjoyed seeing her growth. I also loved Jamie and seeing how different he was as well from how he was when they were engaged to how he was when they ran into each other at the resort. It was great.
4.5 rounded up!

What a cute, summer beach read! It takes place at a tropical beach resort giving off all the fun, summer vibes. It’s lighthearted and cozy making it the perfect book to bring on your next vacation or even reading poolside. I love Hannah Brown’s writing style, it is beautiful, fresh and fun with just enough conflict to keep me turning the pages. The storyline had me interested right from the start. Sybil, a runaway bride runs into not one, but two of her ex-fiancés while at a tropical resort. Fake dating is one of my all time favorite tropes and brought so much humor and emotion to this story. I’m not usually a second chance romance girlie and definitely don’t love the miscommunication trope but I dunno, somehow it just worked with this one. Both main characters are likable and the character development was so well done. I am loving Hannah Brown’s books and can’t wait to see what she comes up with next.

Such a cute, cozy, fun summer read. I would have loved everything about this book if I could have been sitting on the beach, drink in hand. The best parts of this book built Sybil as a character and really gave her a journey worth reading for all women

A fun, easy beach read! Nothing too deep, but perfect if you’re in the mood for a light second-chance romance. The characters are likable, the pacing is quick, and it kept me entertained without getting overly emotional. Great for a weekend escape.

I was extremely enticed for this one because I love Hannah brown so much. While reading, I kept wondering if any aspects from the books were based on her real life or if it was all fiction.
I thought she approached difficult topics either way gracefully throughout, though I was definitely cheering AGAINST the ending.
Thanks so much for the arc!

“The Four Engagement Rings of Sybil Rain” is the perfect summer escape and just so much fun! Sybil decides to redeem her honeymoon voucher and go on vacation a year after her almost wedding. She’s been engaged three times and none of those relationships have worked out. She runs into several of her exes while in Hawaii and she takes a trip down memory lane remembering what went wrong in these relationships. I enjoyed seeing Sybil’s character growth and the writing style was so engaging. The romance didn’t really build until the end for me.

Many thanks to the publishers and NetGalley for the opportunity to read this ARC.

Sybil was supposed to get married last year but it ended in heartbreak instead. Now she’s decided to use the vouchers and go on the honeymoon to relax and recharge. Unfortunately, her ex-fiance has the same idea.
Read if you enjoy:
*** Miscommunication trope
*** Fake-dating
*** Laugh out loud moments
I enjoyed this. Sybil’s journey was emotional, and I appreciated the character development. I liked the funny moments just as much as the heartfelt ones. I did not read Hannah’s first novel, but will go back and read it after this one.
Thank you to Forever (Grand Central Publishing) and Netgalley for the ARC of this novel; all opinions are my own.

I AM IN LOVE! This love story, just like Amelia in the story, made me believe in love again. Jamie and Sybil both went through transformative character developments before getting their happily ever after. The heartaches were heart wrenching but it made all the good times worth it. I will always keep on remaining myself that happily ever after exists because of this book. Three cheers for Jamie and Sybil!

Thank you Net Galley, Hannah Brown, and Forever Publishing for an EARC copy of this book.
I was so excited and surprised to see Hannah Brown’s new book come across Net Galley.
I loved Mistakes We Never Made and was instantly sucked into this book. I love the two main characters and the love they have for each. They both had some growing to do and it was nice to see their characters change over the story. I enjoyed reading about their past relationships with the other fiancés and how they impacted Sybil’s life and outlook on herself. Such a great summer read!!

After absolutely loving Mistakes We Never Made last year, I was thrilled to see there was a sequel—and The Four Engagement Rings of Sybil Rain did not disappoint!
This follow-up dives into the chaos that led Sybil to abandon her wedding and send her best friends on a wild goose chase in the first book. Now, a year after yet another failed engagement, Sybil decides to finally use the vacation vouchers she was meant to enjoy with her ex-fiancé, Jamie. But things don’t go quite as planned when she unexpectedly runs into someone from her past—turning what was supposed to be a quiet getaway into an emotional rollercoaster.
This story delivers both a second-chance romance and a fake dating setup, blending laugh-out-loud moments with emotional depth. Yes, it includes the miscommunication trope—but in this case, I felt it was handled well and made sense within the context of the story. It wasn’t frustrating; instead, it added layers to the unfolding drama and character growth.
Speaking of which, the character development in this book is excellent. Sybil’s journey is heartfelt and authentic, and I appreciated how much of her growth was shown directly on the page. Her emotional arc felt earned and satisfying.
Thanks to Forever for the ARC! I highly recommend this book to fans of romantic comedies with heart, hijinks, and healing.

A very cute read! It does have some heavy topics so I would recommend looking at the trigger warnings prior to reading, but the book is amazing and does handle the topics with care.

I absolutely loved Mistakes We Never Made last year and was very excited to see there was a sequel coming. In the events of the first book; there’s a runaway bride and a wedding called off. In The Four Engagement Rings of Sybil Rain; we get to see what exactly led Sybil to lead her best friends on a wild goose chase the weekend of her supposed to be wedding.
This one starts right off the bat with action and the much beloved comedy value that the first had. I loved the setting of the island and there’s no doubt this will make for the perfect beach read this summer. Unfortunately the middle part started to drag and I’m not entirely sure what made me feel that way; u just know the book didn’t need to be as long as it was. That being said I still really enjoyed the journey and it really drives home the message (best said by Ru Paul) how are you gonna love somebody if you don’t love yourself?
While I highly recommend this book, there are some pretty heavy topics addressed such as PCOS, infertility, miscarriages and more. Please check trigger warnings

What a cute summertime read! I enjoyed reading this, it made me feel happy and relaxed. This was cozy, yet adventurous. This is in the romantic comedy, women’s fiction genre! It’s all about never giving up hope! It is a medium paced read that is beautiful written. I had no idea that the author of this book was from the bachelorette until the end of the book, where it tells me about the author! She is very talented and I hope she continues writing books! I have not read her other books yet, but I will! This is all about second chances at romance in this novel!
“The Four Engagement Rings of Sybil Rain” is about a runaway bride who comes in contact with her Ex Fiancé, during a Hawaii vacation. Unexpected events start occurring in this beautiful place. She begins to realize that some things are better left in the past. She wants to heal from her three past engagements and start anew with the fourth one. However, will this one last or will it turn out to be like the other ones? Overall, I give this a 3 out of 5 stars rating.
This book gave me full on “Forgetting Sarah Marshall” vibes! I think that readers who enjoy a cozy, romantic comedy book will love this one!
Thank you to NetGalley, author Hannah Brown and Forever (Grand Central Publishing) | Forever for this digital advanced reader’s copy of this book in exchange for my honest review. All thoughts and opinions expressed are my own.
This book is expected to be published on June 24, 2025!

A year after another failed engagement Sybil decides to use the vouchers that were meant for her and her former fiancé Jamie. Little did she know that when she got there Jamie would also be there! With his “coworker” closing a deal. But not only that another former fiancé shows up and saves the day. This is a Second chance romance but also a fake dating romance that had me laughing and also tearing up at times. I unfortunately have not had the time yet to read Mistakes We Never Made. But this book runs on the same time line from what I’m seeing and now that I’ve read this I have to go back immediately and get our girl Sybil's friends book immediately. Well, this does have the miscommunication trope. I feel like this one was done well and didn’t annoy me. And because of the circumstances of why we find out over the course of the book the reason for the failed walk down the alter existed miscommunication was the only forward. I also thought the character development was very well done and the growth was shown very well on page!
Thank you to Forever for the complimentary advanced copy. All thought and opinions are my own.

This book was even better than Hannah's first, which I was unsure would be possible. Was fun to visit characters from her first romance. Hawaii was its own character and it made the story that more magical.

Very enjoyable follow up to 'Mistakes We Never Made' where we find out where Sybil went while Emma and Finn went on a road trip to find her, plus what happened at the wedding. I appreciated seeing Sybil's side of things and her backstory, though I wish it was fleshed out a bit more given how it coloured her subsequent relationships. At times the pace lagged and I wasn't sure if I felt like I bought the romance as I was unsure just how much work both characters did to change, especially Sybil. But eventually I could see why he was the one she should be with, and the epilogue sold it best.
Perfect read for everywhere from the beach to a cosy spot near a fireplace.
Thanks to Forever (Grand Central Publishing) and NetGalley for the ARC.
