Sybil Rain has been adjusting to life after the ending of her third engagement. Her friends suggest she finally take the non-refundable trip that was intended to be her honeymoon with Jamie. Unfortunately for her Jamie has had the same idea but he has tied his trip to his business and has brought a beautiful colleague with him. Her attempts to avoid Jamie are being constantly thwarted as they continue to run into each other. Complicating matters finance number two, Sebastian, also shows up at the resort. Though not at the resort the issues that ended her first engagement is still very much on her mind and may be what is causing her to question all of her relationships. Sybil must examine her heart to determine how she wants to move forward.
I really enjoyed this book. It has a nice mix of heartfelt emotion and some more silly and fun moments. I really love Sybil. She is sweet and fun. While there may be some silly parts of the book the root of what is keeping her from being able to move forward is something that I think a lot of women can relate to. I enjoyed each of her boys that we got to meet and her friends that she stays in constant contact with throughout the book. This is the second of Hannah Brown's books that I have read. I have really enjoyed both of them and look forward to reading what comes next.
Thank you to NetGalley and Forever for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.

This book was great, it has one of my favorite tropes which is fake dating but add on to it the fact that's its a second ex fiancee and i was hooked. I like that this is a second chance romance as well. There is a lot of vulnerability and self-exploration which I loved as character growth. And of course the setting was wonderful with the beach and other beach activities. The summer vibe was everything I needed. Thank you Entangled and Netgalley for the arc of this book.

Thank you Forever Publishing for the ARC.
I went into this with no expectations and an open mind.
The story follows Sybil Rain. She's recouping from a 3rd failed engagement. Her friends talk her into going on the honeymoon that never happened.
Surprise! He ex-fiance, Jamie, is also there.
They are seemingly shoved together at literally every chance.
Sybil chokes on nearly every drink she has and Jamie is mad but not mad about the ending of their relationship.
This might not be for me. I felt like the characters are shallow and annoying.
I couldn't figure out what anyone looked like. Lots of hair color and broad chests. Jamie and Genevieve might be the best described characters in the whole book.
Sybil follows her gut but then obsesses about every choice. This bogs down the book.
I love a good, fun summer read. This just isn't it.

This was a fun read. I went in a little blind, and at the beginning I was unsure about the free-spirited “life of the party” FMC, Sybil, but honestly she really grew on me throughout the story. The amount of secondhand embarrassment I felt at moments in this book were next level. I really felt for Sybil at moments that she was completely overwhelmed, her desire to save face in front of her ex-fiance. Throughout this book I kept thinking about Mama Mia and how all of her previous love interests descend on this private resort and cross paths with Sybil. The romances portion was really lovely. Sybil and the other MCs really go on a growth journey in how they process the past.
Highlights:
✨Second Chance Romance
✨Runaway Bride
✨Opposites Atract
✨Miscommunication
✨Close Proximity
Thank you to the author, NetGalley, and Forever Publishing for the advanced copy. My opinions are my own.

I listened to the audiobook and I really enjoyed it. The narrator has a beautiful voice, it truly made the experience better. She carried the story beautifully. It was a sweet story with unexpected depth and summer vibes.
I really liked the story, full of vulnerability and self exploration. While there is miscommunication, which I found incredibly frustrating, I do think, ultimately, it made sense. There needed to be growth first.
Second chance romances don't always work, but this one did. Sometimes being apart is the only way to grow together.
The setting was absolutely beautiful, it gave me all the summer vibes. The beach, snorkeling, horseback riding, pool and cocktails and a summer storm..
I really liked the characters, both the main and the secondary ones. They all made the story compelling in their own way. Sybil's journey was heartbreaking, but hopeful. Her fight to heal the scars she carried and the fear that ruled her life, was slow, but important. I love how she found her strength and the love she deserves in the end.
I know Hannah from her season on the Bachelorette, but had no idea she was an author until recently. I really enjoyed her writing, I think she did an amazing job.

First and foremost, thank you to the publisher and the author for an advanced copy in exchange for an honest review. I loved this story and it was definitely worth the read! I absolutely loved this book!!!

What starts out feeling like a total rom com (jumping off a boat to avoid the person you don’t wanna see 🤦🏽♀️) turns out to be a story with a lot of depth. Sybil wrestles with what happened in each failed engagement, unveiling the truth as the story goes on. Such an enjoyable read!

I took me a minute to really connect with any of these characters, but in the end, this was actually a really cute story and the character development from the first engagement to the fourth was really sweet.

Hannah B is Hannah Back with another hopeful, slightly chaotic, and reflective love story - we get runaway bride Sybil’s story this time!!
A year after calling off her wedding at the altar, Sybil seems to have gotten herself together (on the surface at least), and with some encouragement from her friends, ends up taking advantage of her soon to expire honeymoon vouchers at a gorgeous resort in Hawaii. She’s ready to connect with herself, have a few drinks and catch the lunar eclipse, when not one but two of her ex-fiancés appear at the same resort!!
This story was wholesome and endearing and emotional, with Sybil’s journey to self-understanding and processing of some past traumas (one that made it quite hard for me to read, so let’s just say I skimmed those parts). Figuring out what you want through examining what you had and what lessons you’ve learned is always one of my favorite things to read - and do!
Thanks so much to Hannah Brown and NetGalley for a chance to read this in exchange for an honest review.

I want to thank Netgalley & Forever for an ALC & E-Galley in exchange for an honest review!
This book was so cozy and fun, and it felt like one of my favorite rom-coms playing out in front of me. The audiobook was narrated well, the narrator had a lot of emotion and made the story resonate with me a lot more.
Usually the miscommunication trope is something I really despise but without it I feel like Sybil really needed to grow a bit before accepting love with open arms. I liked the concept and the setting and that all her exes showed up on the beach where she really was just planning on getting away from it all and it was a really really fun romcom for summertime!

TRIGGER WARNING: miscarriage and infertility.
Thanks to the publisher for this ARC. I wanted to first warn everyone that there is a lot of discussion regarding miscarriages/infertility that are not warned or hinted at. When I first read this blurb and accepted this arc I thought it would be a book with a lot of character growth for the FMC and a fun light summer read. It was not. Any character growth seemed to happen off page and wasn’t showed/believable to me. This book felt very “LA” with silly brand name drops that were unnecessary and jokes about holistic feminist positivity coach aka therapist. (She needs a real therapist and needs intensive therapy and should not be jumping back into a relationship) Long parts of the book were just info dumps from the past about her old relationships which would occur mid chapter randomly and just made the pacing difficult to enjoy. There was a lot of talking about her content creation job but not any evidence of that happening when that was the entire reason for the trip was for this moon content creation. Just seemed like that entire plot line could be dissolved and the book would be the same. There was a level of immaturity which wasn’t matching the story and was prevalent throughout. The end of the story I wasn’t cheering for their relationship and just said ok. For a book that is heavily character plot focused I felt there was very little shown for the growth. This also was lacking the banter and humor I would want from something I feel is advertised as a lighter beach read type book.

What a cute book! I really enjoyed the story and yes there was a lot of predictable moments in the book but most romance books are very predictable and that’s why I enjoy them. Very very mild on page scenes that are not very descriptive but there.
Overall, I enjoyed the book!

“A voice in my head-one I've been working on ignoring-whispers softly: good enough to fall in love with, but never enough to last.”
Sybil Rain had been engaged three times in her life. Once to Liam, a controlling paranoid man. To Sebastian, a free spirited photographer. And to Jamie, a rich and reserved man. A year after her engagement with Jamie, Sybil’s friends encouraged her to use her honeymoon vouchers and go on a self trip. Shortly after arriving, Sybil ran into no other man but Jamie. For the duration of her stay, she seems to keep bumping into him. Can they rekindle the past or have they both simply moved on?
I didn’t realize there was a book before this one until I was 20% in. However, I can tell you that it can be read as a standalone. 😊 I LOVE THIS BOOK! I read this pretty much in one sitting! The way Sybil became more self-aware of her feelings and herself…. And also the yearning from Jamie… it was delicious! I love every bit of this book! It made me laugh, made me wanna toss my kindle at times but also made me swoon and cry. 🫶🏻
Thank you Netgalley and Forever Publishing for this ARC! ❤️

Thank you to NetGalley, Hachette Audio, Forever and Hannah Brown for the chance to read this book in exchange for my honest review.
It is VERY much giving Forgetting Sarah Marshall (as promised in the blurbs) and while I haven't seen Anyone But You (as also promised from the blurbs)- I can see it. And I like it. I enjoyed this story very much. Sybil is one of those characters that is just doing her ding dang best with what she has. There is much character growth from Sybil AND Jamie, separately- and I think that's a really good lesson and theme.
I have not yet read Hannah's first book, Mistakes We Never Made, but it does some like these two are interconnected standalones so I think I would enjoy going back to read it.
This is the first book I've ever read that a ghostwriter (perhaps) has a heavy (that's the perhaps part) hand in... and WE KNOW IT! It's acknowledged! The ghostwriter is mentioned on the title page and in the audio book. As a voracious reader that consumes a lot of art- and attends MANY author events as HUGE FANGIRL- I could give a 60 minute TED talk on my internal conflicts with non-memoir ghostwriting. How many times have I given praise to the non-artist? How many times have I been fooled? Finally reading Hannah's book has taught me I need to go watch some of her interviews (Literary Hype Woman's to start..) and hear more about her process with her ghostwriter and open my mind to varying partnerships.

This is the perfect summertime read!! I love a fake dating romance and this one was enjoyable. Perfect sequel to the first book!

Thank you NetGalley and Forever Publishing for my advance reader copy of this lovely summer read!
This book is definitely one that you will want to have on your summer reading list. It made me yearn for a fun summer vacation. Overall, I really enjoyed this book. I loved getting to read Sybil’s story. This book made me laugh a ton, and at times, it made me get all in my feels.
Dealing with a break up is challenging, and the biggest part of that is trying to move forward. I thought the author did a great job speaking to this and highlighting what is truly like. Not sugarcoated at all.
There were a lot of very difficult themes/conversations within this book. I felt like that added a really great element to the story that allows readers to connect more. This also made me love the characters even more.
It is definitely a slow burn, but every chapter left me wanting so much more. If you liked the first book, I think you will also enjoy this one!
Finally, I will finish by raving about the descriptions of their friendship in this book. It is what true friendship should be, and I think it added so much to the story without taking away from Sybil’s journey of healing and overall story.
Hannah Brown did a great job with this one! I look forward to the next story she wants to tell!!!

The Four Engagement Rings of Sybil Rain is a beautifully raw story that explores what it means to fall apart—and piece yourself back together—in a world that’s constantly measuring your worth by timelines and milestones.
From the first page, I was pulled into Sybil’s world. The writing doesn’t feel like a cookie-cutter romance. With a dual timeline structure and plenty of unexpected turns, the plot feels completely original (at least to my knowledge). It kept me on my toes, always wanting to know what would happen next.
Sybil’s journey is deeply personal. Through anxiety, grief, and the pressure to perform for others (especially in-laws and society’s expectations), she slowly uncovers who she is without all the noise. As someone with PCOS and Endometriosis, I felt that the representation of pregnancy loss and fertility struggles was handled with sincerity and care. It was powerful to see those experiences honored in such a sensitive way.
The love triangle adds tension and depth. This isn’t just a romance—it’s a story about learning to sit with discomfort, discovering self-worth, and understanding that your timeline doesn’t have to match anyone else’s.
While I wasn’t totally sold on how quickly the final engagement happened, I appreciated that it felt more like a symbol of growth and promise rather than just a traditional “happily ever after.”
This book stands out for its emotional honesty, originality, and strong character development. It’s a refreshing, unpredictable take on love, loss, and learning to choose yourself.

This book was sweet and fluffy. I really enjoyed the mental health aspect of it. Strong elements of friendship and self awareness. Beautiful backdrop of Hawaii. Fun and quirky.

I really enjoyed this book and read it in less than a day!
The Four Engagement Rings of Sybil Rain follows Sybil, 1 year after her 3rd broken engagement as she heads to Hawaii to use her honeymoon credits before they expire. There she runs into not 1 but 2 of her exes and girl is going THROUGH it!!
As someone who struggles with panic attacks and anxiety, I felt very seen by Sybil's character. It can feel like we are avoiding situations or leaving but it's literally our brains panicking and trying to do whatever keeps us safe - and a lot of the time, it's leaving a difficult situation to get a handle on things.
I loved the growth and maturing that occurred in just a short period of time in the book. And Jamie? Hello!! New book bf found. A solid, stable rock of a man.
Thank you Forever Publishing for the advanced review copy! I loved it.

Three stars is generous for this book because I felt it lacked in character development. Sybil is the MFC and she has decided to take what was meant to be her honeymoon trip a year after the aborted wedding. Since the demise of her relationship Sybil has created a somewhat stable life with a good job and good friends. Jamie her ex-fiancé, is also at the honeymoon resort at the same time due to his business interests. After a year of not speaking to one another Sybil and Jamie are thrown together multiple times at the resort and must navigate seeing one another.
This book goes on to discuss her first relationship and its demise with flashbacks. It then introduces Seb. Seb is the second engagement and he is a care-free, fly by the seat of your pants kind of guy. Seb just happens to be in the area and shows up at the resort as well. This is where I felt the book just stalled for me. I could not really see growth in Sybil's personal relationships with either of these men and the immaturity that was evident was a lot.
After listing the above criticism I feel I must say it is a quick and easy read. I would like to have seen a lot more character development but the story flowed well. As a reader if you are looking to have an easy read for the beach or a lazy rainy day this could be a great option. If you like chick-lit, fiction or contemporary romance you might enjoy this book.
One last note, I did not read the first book in the series, so some of my problems with this book might be resolved if read in order.
