I love Opal Watson! She teaches readers so much about how to navigate the world with a disability, and be a successful sleuth at the same time! We started listening to Opal Watson on the Pinna podcast app, and my children requested the 2-season series of episodes over and over again. One thing they liked was the cast of characters, all voiced by different actors.

In this audiobook we get to follow a case for a longer length of time and learn about her friendships and feelings with her family's hotel and moving to a new school. We also get to follow the mystery through a traditional novel format.

I love that they kept Maya Graves as the voice of Opal, just as she voices Opal in the app. Maya does a fantastic job voicing Opal navigating uncertainty, confidence, and youthfulness. I wish the audiobook would have offered a full cast recording, but the audio with Maya is very enjoyable.

I highly recommend this book to schools and libraries!
