5/5 for children, teenagers
4/5 for adults
When I started to read this graphic novel, I had forgotten who its target audience was.
Dracula’s Brunch Club has the coolest colour with scenes set in the night time and that transport you to older times.
The classic cartoon style of art was awesome.
As for the story, we have the good-hearted and quirky Dracula, who is a donut master.
When he comes back from his travels around the world, he finds his town changed.
Teaming up with his friends, Dracula solves the conspiracy.
Some puns were funny, others were more intended for children and less funny for adults,
The resolution felt slightly abrupt. Though, perhaps this will be a series. Hope there is more to this because I loved the style, the characters and the atmosphere.

Dracula’s Brunch Club is a middle-grade graphic novel that blends lighthearted humor with a touch of spooky charm. This story follows Count Dracula, an unconventional vampire with a passion for baking. His famed blood-orange jelly donuts provide fellow vampires with the energy they need to thrive. However, a sudden jelly shortage in Transylvania threatens his brunch club’s existence, especially when his rival, Constantine, seizes the opportunity to usurp Dracula’s position. As townsfolk begin to disappear, Dracula, alongside his human friend and chef, Elena, must uncover the truth behind the shortages and save his beloved brunch club.
Positives:
• Vibrant, Cartoonish Artwork: the illustrations are reminiscent of ’90s cartoons, featuring bold colors and expressive characters that captivate young readers.
• Lighthearted Tone: The narrative maintains a comedic and whimsical atmosphere, making it suitable for children who enjoy spooky themes without intense scares.
Negatives:
• Simplistic Plot: While engaging, the storyline is straightforward and may lack depth for older readers seeking complex narratives.
• Limited Character Development: Some characters could benefit from more nuanced backstories and growth throughout the story.
Overall, Dracula’s Brunch Club offers a fun and imaginative read for young audiences, combining culinary adventures with vampire lore in a unique and entertaining way.

this was such a fun graphic novel! who knew vampires could love donuts so much? the art style was great and nostalgic, and i loved the colouring. overall, fun characters and plot! recommend to all ages!
˗ˋˏ ୨୧ thank you to NetGalley, Oni Press, Brian Gonsar, and Keenan Gaybba for the digital arc in exchange for an honest review! ୨୧ ˎˊ˗

This was such a cute little graphic novel! There was lots of silly humor, great artwork, and a fun story of Count Dracula. I loved the brunch club and the way everything came together at the end. Can’t wait to recommend this one to young patrons at the library!

This was super fun! And I loved the art.
This art style reminded me of some classic Cartoon Network shows and that's so nostalgic for me (and I just love that style). I loved how the color palette of a scene changed depending on who the main character of that moment was and for the mood. The coloring was really well done! I just love when people play with color to show a mood or to make a point or to direct the viewer's focus.
I also think the cover is very clever and cute.
The story of this graphic novel was also very fun. A group of vampires have a brunch club that is very particular about donuts but there is some chaotic and suspicion brewing when Dracula cannot make his special donuts the way he normally does.
This was so fun and cute and cozy, and I highly recommend! I gobbled this up in probably an hour (maybe less, I didn't look at the time)? It was definitely in one sitting and very quick!
Thanks to NetGalley for the e-ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review! My Goodreads review is up and my TikTok (Zoe_Lipman) review will be up at the end of the month with my monthly reading wrap-up.

A really cute and funny read with a bunch of funny characters and a hilarious plot.
It was unexpected and i had a really great time with it. The illustration was adorable and the use of color was so great

So glad I got to take a bite out of this sweet graphic novel. It was funny, and creative. I think middle school kids would love it! There are a lot of dynamics at play that they could identify with as well it taping into that fun creepy element. I really enjoyed the different take on the vampire legend involving the jelly, it was a nice surprise.

I give a solid 3.75 to this humorous paranormal romp! It wasn't perfect, but it was worthy of a read for those who are fans of Saturday morning cartoons and would easily find a place in the Nickelodeon or Cartoon Network lineup.

This is a cute, lighthearted vampire story about a version of Dracula that subsists on jelly donuts rather than blood. It's a funny premise that I think kids will really enjoy. The art has a Saturday morning cartoon vibe that was a perfect counterpart to this silly story.

Thank you to Netgalley and Oni Press for this ARC! Overall, I enjoyed Dracula's Brunch Club - it was a fun story that provided a cool twist on the background of vampire lore. And I never knew I could gather up so much hate for a cartoon vampire! The characters were written well and all had their quirks. It was endearing!

I was doing SOOO good at not requesting too many ARCs and getting overwhelmed and reading them at the very last minute..and here we are. Here's Brian Gonsar and Keenan Gaybba's "Dracula's Brunch Club."
["Count Dracula is not your average vampire. Well, sure, he’s undead, hates garlic, and will burn up in sunlight—but unlike other vampires, he has a knack for baking. And it’s his brunch club’s famous blood-orange-jelly donuts that give his fellow vampires the energy source they need to live forever. But when Transylvania experiences a mysterious jelly shortage, it allows his nemesis, Constantine, to swoop in and steal the brunch club—and the vampires’ loyalty—from Dracula. But it’s not just jelly donuts at stake. When townsfolk start to go missing, Dracula suspects Constantine has far more sinister motives lurking that could threaten everything vampires and humans have worked for. With the help of his chef and human friend, Elena, Dracula must find a new energy source before every vampire and human turns on him and he loses his coveted brunch club forever."]
And, because life is just like that, Kevin Jonas wrote the foreword for this book!
"Constantine is not one to be taking lightly. Neither is a girl with donut cravings." Truuuuth.
Okay, this book was fucking adorbale. It was about friendship and acceptance. But it was also completely and utterly filled with puns and bad jokes. I loved it!
It was definitely a journey. Some things made sense. Some were a little off-the-wall. But it was honestly adorable. A killer for all ages.

This is a stupidly cute graphic novel about our world renowned Dracula! In this turn of events our world class vampire is running a very popular brunch spot!
This story was goofy, cozy, and a fun Sunday read that will have you giggling! The art is just bloody amazing!! You will absolutely love the art if you enjoyed cartoons in the 90s and early 2000s!
5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

[...]"One must lurk in the darkness to avoid the vile tings"[...]
A story about a friendly vampire not easily impressed by cheesy puns and trying to make the perfect blood orange jelly-filled doughnut for his own vampire brunch club.
With a light-hearted, slightly spooky and altogether cosy mix of text and illustrations, the book's story is very reminiscent of a classic Sunday morning cartoon.

Thank you NetGalley and Oni Press for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.
This book has puns and jokes perfect for a child or a young teenager. It’s a fun graphic novel that would be very easy for a child to read.
It felt to me (to be fair) as an adult a bit repetitive but the concept was very amusing.
The character illustrations were perfect and very expressive. They really gave Nickelodeon vibes!

Thank you for the advance copy, Oni Press!
In Dracula's Brunch Club, Brian Gonsar takes a normally dark subject (vampires) and makes it endearing. There is a sinister aspect to the overarching plot, but Keenan Gaybba's illustrations are fun and playful, even with the muted color palette (it is always night time, after all). His style evokes greats like Gravity Falls and Fairly OddParents whilst retaining its own identity. Though this is aimed primarily toward the younger crowd, I found it to be ridiculously cute. I'll definitely be picking up a copy upon release.

A cute adaptation on Count Dracula. The vampires start off eating jelly donuts made from Blood Oranges. Dracula is preparing for his upcoming brunch and a charity event when suddenly he realizes that there are not oranges or jelly to be found despite sending huge shipments of them back to the village. This mystery is a fun romp as you try to figure out what happened and watch as the local vampires discover something even more tasty than jelly. Even better, the back of the book has donut recipes!

ARC was given by NetGalley & Oni Press.
Content/Trigger Warning: Loss of a parent (recounted), grief, murder, on page depictions of blood, depictions of emesis, poisoning
For the fans of Adventure Time, Gravity Falls, and Hotel Transylvania, this graphic novel is for you! This was really delightful to read and I thought it was such a unique way of doing vampires. I loved that Dracula was a chef and enjoyed baking. It was really wholesome! However, I found a lot of things in this story very predictable. With all of this being said, I think this is a really great fast paced read that many readers will enjoy especially middle grade readers. I think there's a lot of references they'll find humorous and enjoyable.
All thoughts, feelings, experiences, and opinions are honest and my own.

I received this DRC from NetGalley.
The art was fun. The style reminded me a bit of Clone High. The story fell a bit flat for me, though. It started out as a fun twist on vampires, but then just ended up turning into a regular vampire story with a trite ending. I would have liked for the female character to have a better, less lame ending.

This was adorable. I love that the entire thing was in color, and that it has recipes at the back! The art work is gorgeous, and actually had a nice message in it. Definitely something I'd say children/middle schoolers could read, and would get the message of inclusion and how it's important. Lovely little read.

Thank you to NetGalley and Oni Press for the opportunity to read Dracula’s Brunch Club by Brian Gonsar and Keenan Gaybba.
This was cute and funny. I enjoyed this story and am now craving donuts! The sarcasm and jokes add so much to this story.
I highly recommend!
