First of all I love the book cover and illustrations throughout. Well thought out and beautiful. I love the storyline and the development from finding him in the bathtub to helping him get home. The issue I have is that the way it's written doesn't quite fit. For what I assume is the age range for this book it's quite wordy when it doesn't need to be and there's a few instances where words are used that the children wouldn't even understand like caviar. I understand it represents the character but you could use simpler examples for them to understand such as cakes, crumpets, etc. I feel like the author is trying a little to hard and it's very nearly there it just needs shortening and rewording in some places for the younger target audience.

This was ok, but the writing really didn’t keep my or my daughters attention and didn’t flow well 🥲 very awkward structure overall. Cute concept though.

How to Get an Alligator Out of the Bathtub is a cute, silly book that I think kids will love. The illustrations were well done and the storyline was unique, but some parts did feel a little slow/forced. Overall a cute read.
