Reading this picture book brought a smile to my face! Lynsey Martin's writing is beautiful and engaging! The text and pacing of the story fits the picture book format amazingly well! Colleen C. Coggins's bring so much life to the text! The expressions, the environments and the characters are drawn wonderfully using bright colors! I loved this book!

This is such a sweet book. The story is fun and quick, the illustrations are adorable, and the happy ending is heartwarming and fun. A great children's book!

Awesome book! I was so entertained while reading this book, and it was a total blast to read! Since this was my own personal reading experience, I believe that every little one that reads this book is going to be full of joy and giggles as they read. Semi-realistic kids' books such as this one rarely fail to disappoint, and this book wasn't an exception to that rule (meaning I was NOT disappointed at all). Additionally, I loved seeing the progression of the boys' feelings towards Alistair, going from fear to friendship over the course of the whole book. Lastly, the illustrations were phenomenal! The alligators were surprisingly adorable, and emotions were conveyed flawlessly throughout. This book was amazing overall!

How to Get an Alligator Out of the Bathtub by Lynsey Martin is sure to be a crowd favorite! The illustrations are delighted and you will be excited to keep turning the pages. This is a terrific book to talk about friendship, sequence and problem solving.

In her own words, her favorite part was “the super cute baby alligators”. The story was really cute and a fun little tale for us to read together before bed. She is still in a learning curve to read and it was simple enough that she could get some of the words herself.
