This was a pretty basic book that was half narrative and half recipes. Nothing earth shattering here, just a helpful reminder of sound advice. I definitely bookmarked some of the recipes to come back to.

I got this as an arc on Netgalley and it will come out in October. This was very helpful without being diet cultury or antifat, like a lot of these help books tend to do. Although I knew going in that with my huge allergy list I will not be able to use most tips, I still got some things out of it I will definitely start applying. My perimenopausal symptoms have been hell and I need more than my hrt alone.

I found this book really useful and genuinely inspiring. The first section is packed with interesting, evidence-based information and explains the science clearly without being overwhelming. It gave me a much better understanding of what’s happening in the body and how to support it. The recipes are great too. They’re simple, tasty, and they actually work. This is a practical and uplifting book that I’ll definitely come back to.

This book has explained so many things and helped me to understand how to find the balance again in my busy! Definitely recommend!

The book has an initial part that is extremely well documented and a second part with interesting recipes, with photos for almost every recipe (which are a must for me) and also puts equivalencies between American measurements and those of the rest of the world (from Oz. to grams). So even though I am a bit ambivalent about taking so many nutritional supplements through food and not through the supplements specifically designed for the menopause, I found the book quite interesting and certainly many of the recipes are must-do.

I received from the Publisher a complimentary digital advanced review copy of the book in exchange for a honest review.

As someone who isn’t in menopause but regularly teaches courses in health psychology and wellness to students from all walks of life (many of whom are navigating perimenopause, menopause, or postmenopause) I was excited to see this book pop up.

I love when wellness books adopt a more holistic approach, and this book truly delivers on that. It doesn’t just discuss macros and calories; it also includes brain health, mindset, lifestyle, and even small myth-busting facts.

What I appreciated most is that the book isn’t just about food, it’s about agency.
About paying attention to your body, tuning into your needs, and making small, sustainable changes that add up.
I think this is an excellent resource if you're interested in intuitive eating (though I do recognize that might not be the best way of eating for all).
The recipes that I did try were great, again, these won't be for everyone as is the case with literally any cookbook in the whole world, but they're a great set!

This book should be handed to every woman approaching perimenopause or menopause. Eat to Thrive During Menopause is the comprehensive, practical guide so many of us have been searching for. There is truly no more mysterious destination than menopause—and it’s honestly wild how women are often expected to navigate it alone, spending hundreds or even thousands of dollars on treatments and “solutions” that barely move the needle.

Personally, I’ve tried just about everything with little success. I turned to diet as a potential tool, but until now, I hadn’t found anything as clear, thoughtful, and empowering as this book. Jenn Salib Huber not only breaks down the stages and symptoms of menopause, but also explains why specific foods and nutritional strategies can relieve—and in some cases, even resolve—those symptoms.

I'm incredibly grateful to have discovered this book and will absolutely be gifting it to friends this Christmas.

Huge thanks to Jenn Salib Huber, Workman Publishing Company, and NetGalley for the ARC.
