This was such a good audiobook! I just finished and was in tears. The growth within the characters was amazing! I canโ€™t wait to snag a copy of this for my shelf!

This ended up being such a cute book full of sisters being sisters (ribbing but looking out for each other) while they are revisiting their annual Florida summer rental at the beach as adults.

There are secrets, dares, and dates and I was definitely getting a ๐˜๐˜ฐ๐˜ธ ๐˜›๐˜ฐ ๐˜“๐˜ฐ๐˜ด๐˜ฆ ๐˜ˆ ๐˜Ž๐˜ถ๐˜บ ๐˜๐˜ฏ 10 ๐˜‹๐˜ข๐˜บ๐˜ด vibe which I was all for. The banter between both the love interests and the sisters had me smiling more than once. I'd definitely recommend this to friends who love a closed door romcom that's perfect for their beach bag!

Three sisters, Savanna, Cora and Bianca decide to spend an entire month at the summer beach house they spend their summers during childhood. They are at different stages of their lives and werent really on good terms since their parents' divorce. Its their story of reconciling with each other.
Its a multiple pov so we get pov's of all the three sisters. Savanna is happily married with two kids but she is keeping a secret from her sisters. Then Cora doesnt believe in love but ends up going on dates with a local guy for a bet with Bianca. So it gave very 'how to lose a guy in 10 days' vibes.
Bianca is engaged to a guy she met on an app but then things arent going according to the plan but at the same time she is figuring out her purpose and what she would like to do with her life.
The summer backdrop with all the different activities entertained me. The sisters's relationship felt realistic with all the love, nostalgia, bickering, support and pure love. All the love interests were sweet and supportive.
It was a very good summer read.

Everyone needs a little vitamin sea, am I right? Thatโ€™s certainly what Savannah thinks when she is determined to get her sisters together for a month getaway at the beach. She even creates a bucket list of items to help each of them reminisce in positive past memories. The sisters were extremely close while growing up side by side but time has forced a wedge between them. They havenโ€™t spent substantial time with one another in a few years.

Each of the sisters travels to the beach with a little secret of their own. Bianca shares that she is getting married and she is met with less than enthusiastic responses from both sisters. Cora prefers to be by herself, she feels safer that way. But, Bianca and Suzannah are determined to help her find the man of her dreams and fall in love.Hence, Cora joins a dating app mainly just to prove to her sisters once and for all that love is not in her cards. And, she thinks it will be even easier to prove once she is paired with the town heartthrob who hasnโ€™t been on more than one date with anyone in several years. Can we just say player?

This is a story of rom com of sisterly love and bonds told from multiple points of view. Itโ€™s considered a romantic comedy. Itrโ€™s cozy and entertaining. The characters are forced to step outside of their comfort zones and are loveable.I would consider this a clean beach read that skims quickly across some trigger warnings mentioning the death of a parent and cancer. There is a lot of warmth and support. The book is charming with witty banter amongst the main love interests. Itโ€™s a slow burn that has laugh out loud moments. Itโ€™s a quick read. Go ahead and click โ€œadd to your summer reading listโ€ now!

When I read the description of this book, I knew I would love it! Well, I was right. This had humor and lots of it, tension, relationship drama, and a whole lot of love. Oh and the ocean! I loved all the characters and seeing the events unfold from each of their perspectives instead of just one. I will definitely be recommending this one often. Thanks to netgalley and the publisher for the advanced copy of this book. All thoughts are my own.

What Not to do on Vacation by Rachel Magee

If you liked How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days then this book is for you! This book follows three sisters that are taking a summer vacation together to their childhood beach vacation destination, all to fulfill a promise they made to her mon 10 years prior when she passed away. Their trip doesn't start out as a picture perfect family bonding moment though, and the sisters find themselves in some rather hilarious situations. My favorite one being when one sister finds herself in a fake dating situation set up by her younger sister, all because her Sister wants to prove the dating app she met her fiance on (only a few weeks prior) is legit. I love how the author captures the dynamics of sisterhood when you have very different people that still love each other. She also takes more sensitive topics such as health issues and family loss, and writes it beautifully! Definitely recommend for a cute summer read.

Thank you to Netgalley for the free ALC in exchange for my honest review!

After my last read I had no idea what was next. But this cover just kept catching my attention so I picked it up and so glad I did. This book was exactly what I needed!

There was a fantastic balance between family/sibling dynamics and romance. It was light, funny, and heartwarming. Also loved that we got chapters with each sistersโ€™ POV.

This was my first by Rachel Magee but I will definitely be going back to check out her backlist!

I read this as a mix between physical and audio and thought the narrator did an amazing job.

Thank you to NetGalley for the ARC audiobook of What Not to Do on Vacation by Rachel Magee.

I really enjoyed this feel-good rom-com! Itโ€™s well-written, with fun banter and charming characters that kept me engaged throughout. While the storyline was a bit predictable at times, it still made for an entertaining and lighthearted listenโ€”perfect for a cozy weekend escape.

This is a clean charming summer read in a light-hearted adaptation of The Taming of the Shrew with hints of How to Lose a Guy in Ten Days! The Prestly sisters come together for the first time in a while to relive the fun summer vacations of their youth. But theyโ€™re not the same carefree youths that they were, so things donโ€™t go exactly according to plan. Enter hidden secrets, matchmaking schemes, and questionable engagements! Mix in humorous banter, tender moments and both mysterious playboy and cinnamon roll male characters to bring it all together!
A combination of romance and family drama, this novel delivered on humor, family relationships, tenderness and reconnecting! Cora and Jax are using their fake dating to each of their advantage until it becomes more than either expected. Savannah learns the things can change for the better, while Bianca needs to discover that she is enough as she is.
I companion listened to this book which was perfectly narrated by one of my favorites, Karissa Vacker. She was the perfect choice to bring these characters to life, giving them each their own unique voice!

What Not to do on Vacation is a cute beach read full of romance, sisterly love and hijinks.

The multiple POV made for a well paced and character rich story, with a warm and witty narrative. The sisters felt authentic and their varied personalises shone through, often in a highly relatable way. The small town beachside setting had a nostalgic and cosy feel, rounding off this enjoyable read.

I enjoyed this as both ebook and audiobook. The audio was well narrated, and added extra interest to the emotional experiences of the varied cast.

Iโ€™d recommend for anyone looking for a warm, relaxing and entertaining beachy read.

Thank you Thomas Nelson fiction for an advance copy of this book. Opinions expressed are my own.

I loved this one so much! It had all the summer vibes, family connections, sisterly drama, rebuilding of relationships, meddling, finding love, and small town vibes. This book follows the 3 sisters as they rekindle their bond with a month long cottage beach vacay in Florida. Perfect beach read that gives you all the feels!

Savannah is on a mission to bring the Prestly sisters back together as they have grown apart, so she made it her summer mission. She booked a beach cottage, made a summer bucket list and guilted her sisters into coming. Now she has to work up the guts to tell them her big secret. Plus get them to actually spend some time together.

Bianca is the baby of the family and she just dropped the bomb sheโ€™s getting married and is moving out of state! Oh and she met the guy in an AI Dating App, its only been 5 week and never seen him in person. It sounds crazy but convinced itโ€™s the real thing so she maid a bet with Cora. If Cora didnโ€™t find โ€œthe oneโ€ on this app she would call off the wedding. So when Bianca overhears a strangerโ€™s conversation in the bar, and he seemed like the perfect match she may have meddled a bit. Itโ€™s still up to the app to match Cora and Jax but they really would be perfect for each other.

Cora is the skeptical sister, fierce, independent and didnโ€™t believe in love. So she thought this bet with Bianca would be an easy win, but then she matched with Jax. He somehow is her perfect match and the more dates she goes on the harder she has to try to sabotage their connection. As there is no way finding the one could be this easy.

Loved this book. It was a little slow/hard to get into, but they may have been the audio. Once I was able to get all the characters straight, I loved it. The three sisters were all so different and lovable in their own ways. I adored each of their romantic relationships. It reminded me so much of me and my sisters! โค๏ธ

This isnโ€™t a genre I typically enjoy. I loved every moment of this story. The author captured the messy lives of three very different sisters. The interactions between the sisters and their love interests was stirring. The romance was squeaky clean and I appreciated it as well. As with and great book I read, I didnโ€™t want it to end. Outstanding narration. Highly recommend.

I was blessed with an ARC. The opinions I have expressed are my own and unbiased.

What Not to Do on Vacation is the perfect summer audiobook with excellent narration by Karissa Vacker. A spin on 10 Things I Hate About You, this has humor, romance, sister bonding, and drama. I loved it and plan on constantly recommending it.

Karissa Vacker's narration elevates the listening experience, her voice flawlessly capturing Savannah's meticulousness, Cora's witty cynicism, and Bianca's impulsive charm. Her performance made the sisters' lively interactionsโ€”especially their often-hilarious attempts to complete a nostalgic summer bucket listโ€”even more engaging and authentic.

If you're searching for your next beach read that offers family drama with a side of romance, I highly recommend What Not To Do On Vacation!

This story was about 3 sisters on vacation at their family summer home. The story was ok, not very exciting for me.
There were 2 blossoming relationships on the trip and an emergency for one sister. This was a meh read for me.

This was such a cute summer read! That was some romance but at its core this was a book about sisters. Personally I donโ€™t have a sister but I still thought this book did a good job of showing the importance of family and how they can push your buttons but also will bend over backwards to make sure you get what you need. I would absolutely recommend this book especially if you want a fun summertime read and youโ€™re tired of the standard romance.

I requested this strictly because the cover caught my eye and thankfully it turned out to be a really cute story. Three sisters return to their childhood beach vacation spot for a month in the hopes of reconnecting and I thought all three women were delightfully unique and interesting characters. The setting was perfect for a start of summer read and I really appreciated that the romance storylines had more reality than drama and miscommunication. It felt like an honest portrayal of life, family, and love interests.

Karissa Vacker crushed the audio (no surprise there) and I found myself looking forward to each time I had a chance to listen. It was a very sweet summer read!

Thanks to Thomas Nelson for the alc via Netgalley.

Oh my goodness! What a super cute book! First, I absolutely love the narrator, Karissa Vacker. Second, the story. Wow. Love the story of Cora and Jax. Love how witty they are with each other and love all of their banter. Their banter had me smiling. So cute. This is a fun beach read, and I highly recommend. Thank you to NetGalley and Thomas Nelson and Zondervan Fiction Audio for the advance listen in exchange for my honest review. All thought and opinions are my own.
