Reese Hayden is in need of a fresh start. Then she finds out she has inherited her uncle’s home on the banks of the Chunky River, so, voila, this is her chance! But wait, what about the freaky rope hanging off Stuckey’s Bridge and the strange figure lurking along the river banks? Is that a red flag?
Reece discovers the bridge is a local legend. In 1858, Catherine Porter was struggling for acceptance in town even though her past and yes her present seemed to make her seem almost nonexistent. Due to the sinister nature of this town and that bridge, Catherine is drawn into a suffering darkness she never expected.
This story is unfolded in two timelines, where Reese and Catherine are met with the same chilling evil. This evil seems to feed on their isolation and fear. I found this book a spooky and u settling story with an interesting religious spin.
A Bridge to Die on is a novel of historical and supernatural suspense steeped in darkness yet still manages to point to the light in this world. Her characters struggle with complicated questions of faith, family and redemption.
So be aware evil is just around d the corner but so can be divine help.
I do recommend this book but you must be into some supernatural and fantasy events.
