Thank you Netgalley, Amber Books Ltd, Sarah-Jane Manarin, and Kate Harris for sending me this advanced review copy for free. I am leaving this review voluntarily.

This was a really informative book, with gorgeous photography.

I've always been interested in birds of prey, and there are so many mentions of people owning falcons in fantasy novels. It's always fun to learn something new animals too.

I loved that we got so much history in addition to detailed info about tools, equipment, training techniques, and general falcon care. The bits about art history were my favorite. I also didn't know that birds of prey were once important enough to use as currency!

It's amazing how that very little has changed over the centuries, and how it still works so well even with modern advancements. Most of the equipment is unchanged. We have new things like digital scales, nylon rope, and GPS trackers, but most of the basic equipment is still leather.

All the information is very detailed, and often has several photos to show you what to do step by step.

Overall this is a great book if you have an interest in falcons, or other birds of prey like eagles or owls.
