Who doesn't love a book about books? 

This book has such an interesting and unique magic system, I've never seen anything quite like it. 

The guy does take a third of the book to finally show up, but who wouldn't want their book boyfriends come to life and courting them? 

This is for all the lovers of words, books, libraries and book boyfriends.

The cover drew me in. A book about books, yes please. The atmospheric opening lines captivated me and had me wanting to know more about Stella It was nostalgic magical and beyond beautiful

Absolutely incredible and nothing like anything I have ever read before! Think night at the museum but if it was book characters! but like amped up with more romance! It was so refreshing not predictable and just kept you turning page after page! The characters were so well written the author completely outdid themselves. The flow the plot the building of the story was fantastic and the pace was absolutely perfect! 100% would recommend! -Kerin

I love books about books and The Charmed Library by Jennifer Moorman delivered. It is available next year and it's one to put on your tbr.

So many great things to love about this book. I have never read Jennifer Moorman before but I enjoyed this book a lot. I agree with other reviewers who said that romance developed too quickly however, there was a lot to love about this book as well!

I loved that the librarians were not portrayed stereotypically and that the main character stood up for the profession. Loved the different characters that appeared over the course of the book. Loved the main characters development over the course of the book. I would definitely recommend it and will buy it for the library.

I cannot overstate how much I adored the concept behind this novel. Ms. Moorman did a fantastic job bringing several fan-favorite book characters to life, and in my opinion, this is where the book truly shines. I mean, what bibliophile wouldn't want to meet their favorite characters in real life? And for that character to be your young adult literary crush? Yeah, I'm living for that.

The writing is fantastic, as is the small-town setting and the other, non-literary characters. And there's a twist I wasn't expecting near the end that I loved, although I would have liked to see it fleshed out more. For all these reasons and more, I assumed this book would be an easy five-star rating for me.

What tripped me up in the end was the romance. It's not that Jack isn't a great character. As love interests go, he's great. What I couldn't reconcile was the speed with which the romance developed. Childhood crush or not, Ms. Moorman showed through her worldbuilding that there's so much more to these fictional characters than what's shown on the page, and Stella and Jack deserved the time to get to know these things about each other, especially before falling into bed together. Further complicating the issue, in my opinion, is the unnecessary decision to shorten the already brief two-week timeline to a mere three days. Instalove is a hard sell for me, and it's why the romance ultimately failed to deliver.

Thanks for the advanced copy! This book was really good and is similar to a couple other books I have read but with a new twist. Good for readers who love the thought of bringing book characters to life and how cool it would be to hangout with them.
