Moving beyond motivational platitudes to examine actual methods for "rising from setbacks" provides readers with applicable tools rather than empty encouragement.

Nobody's Legend is a cautionary tale of a real life that swerves into a car crash. It's a warning that obsession (when unmoderated - and yes, you can moderate an obsession) leads to identity crisis - when our young man can't be an American footballer any more then he doesn't know who he is - and slides into drugs. It's also a graphic look at how fast life can go by and be wasted. I appreciate the authors raw honesty - one drug use scene was horrific and brought home the desperation of addiction. I think this is worth reading by all sportsmen although undoubtedly many will assume they are exempt... Like the 90% of drivers who place themselves in the top 10% of excellent drivers...
Worth reading although it gets a little tedious 3/4 way through.
