Accomplice to the Villain was quite a ride one that took emotional rollercoaster to a whole other level. I loved it but my God this was an emotional wrecking ball of a journey. It was still funny but the way my emotions feel battered and bruised after finishing it phew. This book did a number on me in the best of ways. It was filled with twists, turns, secrets, betrayals, surprises and so much more. Even though I saw the twists and turns coming it still affected me. I loved the way it ended so cannot wait to get my hands on the final book. I will be counting down the months, days, minutes and seconds until I can get my hands on it. I highly recommend it.

This is the third book in the Assistant to the Villain series. In my opinion, this is the best book of the series so far. I really enjoyed watching Evie come into her own as a "villain". The dynamic between Tristan and Evie is very reminiscent of my relationship with my husband in that I constantly drive him crazy and I love it. Honestly the series is worth the read if you want a cozy and fun romance with a hint of villainy and an extremely funny frog prince.

HOLY MOLY THANK GOD THERE'S MORE.
The epic adventure continues and I am at a loss of words on how amazing this was. I loved all the additional points of views and the amazing writing.
It is one of the most fun books in such a long time. The writing is so witty and the fact that I care about all the side characters instead of just Evie is great.
I'm usually against adding additional POVs in but the more she adds - the more I love.
Book 4 --- you are too far away

OH MY FUCKING GOD. OH MY GOD. BENEDICT LEMME JUST KICK YOU IN THE NUTS. OH MY GOD. THE TWISTS. THE TURNS. THE RAINBOWS. THE PINK. AMARA YOU BITCH, THE ONE BED TROPE, AHHHHH THIS BOOK. GIDEONx(SECRET) AND THEN THE TRAITOR?! HELLO!!??? I'M SORRY WHAT!!?? AHHHH
Anyway, someone please tell me if you've read this arc yet because I can't move on from EVERYTHING THAT HAPPENED IN THIS FUCKING BOOK.

We’re back in the world of Rennedawn! I love this world and these characters so much, and the third book continues to build on and expand the world and our characters backstories, without feeling like it’s all a bunch of filler or unnecessary drama. Some aspects were predictable, but it didn’t take away the enjoyment of the series!
This picks up right where book two left off, with Evie and The Villain trying to maintain their distance to manage Tristan’s increasingly erratic magic. They’re, of course, failing at this because they’re both hopelessly in love with each other! It just takes them a while to see it, admit it, and confess it. I did wish they’d gotten together sooner, but they were still bantering which helped bridge some of the disconnect they had at the beginning of the book. We do get POVs from our other favorite characters, and this time, everyone’s favorite frog! Getting more background on Kingsley was intriguing, though I felt like he was often overlooked even though this book is more focused on him and his connection to the prophesy to save Rennedawn. There were a ton of silly and cute moments, a bite of spice, and an emotional loss (that was actually unexpected). And the cliffhanger at the end? I can’t wait for the fourth and final book! I’m going to be so sad to leave this world and these characters!
Thanks to Entangled Red Tower for the complimentary arc. All opinions are my own.

Hannah has done it again, where are the words to explain the chokehold this series has on me? The banter between Evie and the Villain made me giggle so much, but then the next moment there would be such deep thoughts that made me feel I was in therapy exploring the characters feelings with them. The found family in this series continues to grow better with each book and we got multiple viewpoints this time! And then to hit me with that ending?? I’m still processing it all, but if you loved the first two books in the Assistant to the Villain series, I think this will make you just as happy. I can’t wait for the next book, I need to know how it ends!
Thank you to Entangled Insiders for the gift of an ARC!!

This little world makes me feel so cozy and happy, and the third installment did not disappoint! Accomplice to the Villain finally delivers on the sloooowest of burns in the first two books, and kept me laughing in almost every chapter. There were times when things from the previous books got recalled, but I didn’t re-read them beforehand, so some of the plot points went over my head until I reviewed stuff from the books one or two. Regardless, the twists at the end already have me waiting for the rest of the story!

I love this series and this book was no exception. It picks up right after the end of Apprentice to the Villain. There were so many great moments and quotes that just made this book perfect. Twists and turns. I did not see where this book was going and I love it when there is a surprise factor. The characters are so unique, and they have so much depth to them. This was truly a great read and I cannot wait for the next book.

Hannah can do no wrong ever with this series, I can't believe just how much I love it.
Accomplice to the Villain is pure chaotic brilliance. It's equal parts laugh-out-loud absurdity, aching slowburn romance, and magical mayhem.
Evie Sage, sunshine personified, is back to driving her brooding, sharp-jawed Villain absolutely mad, and I loved every second of their banter and yearning. The prophecy quest keeps the pace brisk, but it’s the moments of vulnerability that hit harder than the jokes for me. I love yearning, I love it, but I just need them to be truly happy.
Hannah Nicole Maehrer has built a cast you can’t help but adore, from snarky frogs to endearing side romances, each subplot bursting with charm. There’s anguish, betrayal, laugh-out-loud chaos, and finally, FINALLY, some of the moments I have been dying for since the beginning (I KNEW they were coming one day, but MAN did we have to work for them). I’ve been following these characters since the early days of the TikToks, and seeing them grow as characters while still causing maximum trouble was everything I wanted and more.
That ending, though? Absolute torture. The next book can’t come soon enough.

Thank you Netgalley and Hannah for this amazing arc.
I went into this thinking its the last book in the series. BUT THAT SUPRISE ENDING WAS WILD. I am sooo looking forward to book 4.
I loved this. There was soo much witty banter. I loved watching the love between Saige and The Villian. They have soo much love for another.
Sad about Kingsley.
Honestly all the characters are soo fleshed out and have their own little side quests but fit back together soo perfectly.
Amazing writing and world building.

Was I sooo excited to return to Rennedawn? Yes I absolutely was and this installment did not disappoint one single bit. If anything, this is my favorite book of the series so far.
I absolutely adored the way the relationship between Evie and the Villain progressed and their banter and sass back and forth in this book had me in tears from laughing so much. I found myself kicking my feet and giggling at so many moments throughout. I also loved how we got to know several of the other characters soo much better and were able to spend more time with Keely, Kingsley, Blade, Becky, Tatiana and so many more office regulars and some new friends too. This world is always such a great escape for me and I absolutely can not wait for the next book.... It can't come quick enough (but I would absolutely happily wait forever for it, if that's how long it took)!

The best book in the series! I have learned that I am not a cozy fantasy girl, but there are so many elements of this story that I appreciate- ESPECIALLY Kingsley! If you enjoyed Assistant and Accomplice, you are in for a treat!
Thank you Redtower, Entangled, & Netgalley for the ARC 💖

Accomplice to the Villain is book three in the Assistant to the Villain Series by Hannah Nicole Maehrer. It’s a cozy fantasy romance packed full of action and laughs.
Accomplice to the Villain picks up right where Apprentice to the Villain leaves off and is action-packed from the beginning. If you enjoyed Assistant to the Villain and Apprentice to the Villain, then buckle up, you’re in for a thrillingly, wild ride that will have you on the edge of your seat the whole way through. As Evie and Trystan work with their friends to save the kingdom, they are plagued with obstacle after obstacle, with so many twists and turns, your head will be spinning - in a good way, of course. Full of laugh-out-loud moments, tension, banter, and our loveable sign-wielding frog, you will not want to put this book down. Now - if only I could wave my magic wand and have the next book in my hands now. Mwahahaha
Thank you, Entangled: Red Tower Books, for providing this book for review consideration via NetGalley. All opinions are my own.

I was lucky enough to get an ARC of this fabulous fantasy romance. The slow burn build up (from books 1 and 2 in the series) between the Villain and the Wicked Woman was worth the wait! I enjoyed how each chapter is told by a different perspective of a different character and it is seamless. The banter between characters made me laugh out loud. More relationships are developed too. I can’t wait to hear more of Kingsley’s story and the rest of the “nincompoops”!

4.5 ⭐️ 1 🌶️ (nothing in detail, but the tension 😍)
Review:
Ugh! I absolutely loved this and I cannot wait to see how it will continue. Watching Evie and Tristan’s relationship grow was probably my favorite things. The amount of times she made him blush?? Perfect! 🔥 this was equally as exciting and funny as all the previous ones had been, but that ending!? Come on!!
Summary:
Trystan and Evies fate has already been decided for them, But he’s not willing to accept that. He must find a way to stop fate, help Kingsley, and keep Evie safe. But vying to try to find a way to ensure it doesn’t come true is not going as easily as he’d hoped. He’s doing things he vowed to never do. Going on adventures, being less evil, and having.. meetings. But the biggest struggle of all has been trying to keep his distance from Sage. Rather hard since he promoted her to being his accomplice. But she hasn’t been making it easy either. Eager to learn and constant trying to get a reaction out of him. Evie is rather enjoying learning how to be more of a “villain.” But when things within the office begin happening they’re forced to work faster. Will there be enough time to stop it?
Favorite Quote:
“Subordinate implies I have some sort of control over you, Sage. And I would say, by all accounts, you’re hardly below me.. Even if he’d really like you to be.“ 😅
Tropes:
•laugh out loud
•close proximity
•found family
•quests
•magic
•slow burn

Expect 👉🏼 Romantasy, Hilarious, Book 3, Grumpy/Sunshine, Will They/Won’t They, Adventures, Kingsley
I’m not going to lie… I’m pretty obsessed with Kingsley. If you’ve read this series, you probably feel the same. Never did I ever think I’d fall for the frog… but I just love him and his signs.
I’m always impressed when humor shines through in a book. There were a ton of laughs and antics and a real shift as the cast and povs grew. There was a little more back and forth than I like, but overall, the tone of the book remained fun.
As an audiobook girl, I wish I had been able to get a hold of an alc to listen to the audio for this one. But I was too excited about the book to wait for audio. So I read it with my eyes. I have loved the other books in this series on audio and would highly recommend reading it that way if you enjoy both.
Thank you red tower for the gifted arc.

There is just something so fun about this series. This series just always put a smile on my face.
Evie is just so fun to follow around, and it's always hilarious to see her somehow torture the Villains in the sweetest way. And to see the Villain constantly fight his feeling for Evie. Just love those two together.
Now, I do have to admit that it took me longer than usual to get through the book, and it is because of something that I pretty much always struggle with multiple POV. While it can be sometimes fun to see other's POV (I mean, we get Kingsley), but I find that it often breaks up the story when the characters are not together. And that often takes me out of the story, so I have a tendency to put it down more often.
Still, I love this series, and I'm already waiting for the next book, because I need to know what will happen next. Hannah Nicole Maehrer definitely knows how to keep us hooked.

Kingsley sign: HALP!
Because I'm going to need the next book as soon as possible after reading this whirlwind. It picks up from Apprentice to the Villian and we finally get Kingsley's story. I love the Villian and Evie but I've been waiting to get more depth from the side characters and there is no one I rather learn more about than this "Short King". He is my favorite supporting character and I am here for it! Our main characters are given a quest and this book details their journey to figuring out the Rennedawn's prophecy. Too bad it couldn't be simple. Kingsley's story plays a big part in their adventure and we get front row seats on how it unfolds. Beware of the unexpected plot twist because I sure didn't see that coming. The hits keep on coming and Hannah Nicole Maehrer leaves us on the edge of our seats. Is book 4 out yet?
Side note: I hate Amara. That is all.
Kingsley sign: 4.3/5 Stars (only because of that cliffhanger that left me hanging by my fingertips)

This was the funniest, most chaotic, and honestly most painful book in the series so far. The plot twists landed. The pacing worked. The romance? Still slooooow-burn, but we’re getting somewhere… finally.
Evie is clinging to sanity by a thread (relatable), the Villain is brooding his way through emotional growth (barely), and everyone else? Kingsley is a menace. The side characters are either stabbing things or being iconic.. And the magical HR department is clearly asleep at the wheel… I love it here.

Evie and The Villain are back with their motley crew of evildoers in ACCOMPLICE TO THE VILLAIN, the third installment of Hannah Nicole Maehrer’s bestselling Assistant to the Villain series! With the fate of magic on the line, the residents of Massacre Manor race against the clock to rescue a magical creature of Fate, find the traitor in their midst, and solve the mystery of the prophecy that will seal their fates—and the fate of all of Rennedawn.
Whip smart and laugh out loud funny, Hannah’s writing just keeps getting better and better. How she manages to wrangle such a huge ensemble cast, giving each of them and their respective budding relationships a moment to shine, is truly a feat to be marveled at. With as many different POVs as this story follows, it would have been so easy to lose the reader each time it jumped, especially as Hannah has the magical ability to leave each chapter on its own mini cliffhanger. But every character is compelling and each POV is needed to convey the entire story so it was never a burden to jump around.
Even as someone who tends to lean more towards instalove than slow burn, I was (and continue to be) fully invested in this love story. Hannah knows exactly how to give just enough to keep the reader coming back for more without feeling like the burn is being drawn out unnecessarily. And while I go absolutely feral over all romantic plot lines, it’s truly the found family that ties this one together in the perfect little bow. Hannah has lovingly and beautifully built this group brick by brick and it is everything I could have ever asked for.
And the twists and turns this story takes? Masterful. Even when you think you know what’s coming (and even if you’re right), Hannah finds a way to turn the entire world upside down, throwing you completely off your axis. It doesn’t matter if you can see it coming from a mile away or if you had no idea it was coming, the plot points meant to get you dropping your jaw will do just that.
If you love to be teased with all kinds of delicious tension while still being able to giggle and kick your feet, you need to run and pick up a copy of ACCOMPLICE TO THE VILLAIN right now! But make sure you’ve also got copies of ASSISTANT TO THE VILLAIN and APPRENTICE TO THE VILLAIN to read first!
