It was honestly just alright for me, I consider myself young at heart...or maybe I'm just immature ...either way I do enjoy a good fart joke from time to time but this fell flat for me. I do think younger readers will still get a few laughs from these smelly heifers.
I love cows and so do my kids, So even though I didn't love it I could still see it ending up on our bookshelf

This will certainly find an audience with many kids as the inclusion of farts AND cows make for some smelly fun. This would be a good purchase for a public library or a personal library, but even the gross fun wouldn’t make it a strong purchase for some school libraries. There are stringer examples out there of the grossness that kids love.

As an adult, I wasn't sure how there could be so many pages about farting on a farm...
My kid though? LOVED IT. Know your audience, I suppose! Ha :)

Personally I'd not bother with this one – while fart books are clearly about appealing to a much younger mind, this is mediocrely drawn, partly presented through multicoloured snippets of newspaper and magazine as in hostage notes, which are surprisingly awkward to read (at least on laptop), and really clumsily rhymed. There is much more fun to be had with bottom burps elsewhere.

"Mom's" Review:
Okay, I knew this was a silly and raucous book based on the title and description, but it came across as more crass than funny to me. I was hoping this would be more along the mind of "Who Pooped In My Backyard" with added humor. A few places the rhyming was really clunky.
It also looked like the illustrations were reused on a few pages which, for a children's book, will always be a negative for me. 50% of a child's enjoyment of the story or more will directly come from illustrations. That's not the place to skimp.
It missed the mark for me, unfortunately.
A's Review:
The cows were pretty silly tooting all over the place, but I didn't really laugh to much.

I didn't really pay attention. I love cows though! The fluffy cows are my favorite.

As always, a heartfelt thank you to Captain Tootypants, Victory Editing NetGalley Co-op, & NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review this book.
All opinions are our own.

I really wanted to love this book but it was very wordy for a children’s book. A lot of larger words and while farts are funny they used fart synonyms so many times that it was funny any more. I think the graphics in this book are beautiful and were very well done.

This book is so fun! Right off the bat, I want to say that I think little ones will be laughing throughout this book, because the humor of this story is perfectly tailored for a younger audience. Basically, fart humor never fails to entertain little kids!
I really think that the funny aspects of this book were brought home by the author's use of rhyming and puns. These two things were executed perfectly, and fit nicely with the smooth tempo of the story. Additionally, this book had a clear plot, which helped the book be more structured, rather than all over the place or overwhelming.
Lastly, I truly admired the illustrator's take on the story, and how they conveyed various aspects of the book. Farts were green "whisps", the cows collaged their messages, and there was a variety of fireworks in the night sky.
In short, I will say that this book is absolutely perfect for little kids that need a good laugh!

My little one giggled their way through this book. The images are great, simple, colourful and give the animals real personalities and facial expressions. The focus is farting and bottom wind and Sit Toots-a-lot making a bit of a stench. As you can imagine this gives the youngsters the giggles and we had peals of laughter when reading this book. The We Love Toots poster made a particular impression and my little one has made their own. The book is not classy but it doesn't need to be. It is quite simply fun.

I don't even know what to think. I certainly didn't think I'd be reading a book about farts when I decided to have a baby. But here we are.
For a book about toots, it's really cute, it's really fun, and my kids thought it was the funniest thing in the world. Sure, they ran around the entire afternoon fake tooting, but they also ate their vegetables at dinner because I told them it was fart fuel like the book said. So I'm calling it a win.
It's cute, it's fun. I give it 💨💨💨💨💨

What initially drew me into checking out Red, White, & Moo was the illustrations and chuckle-worthy title. The writing style reminded me of a mix between Aaron Blabey's "Pig the Pug" stories and Doreen Cronin's barnyard themed children's books. I did enjoy the clever rhymes about flatulence, but some lines rolled off the tongue easier than others and I sometimes had to slow down and do a reread.
Nevertheless, it's definitely a book I would pick up for my preschool class, after all, I don't know many kiddos who don't get the giggles about "passing gas".

I read this to my 4 year old little man and he was giggling so hard!
Super cute book with fart-astic puns!
The illustration was beautiful as well!
Little man wants to know what antics the donkeys will get into!!

A very clever story about, as the title indicates, tooting cows. The text is clever indeed and the wording is laugh out loud, with some rather tasteless rhymes (as it should be). The story has an edifying and surprising ending, so it all comes together.
But, back to the (I shall say it): farting. I love books about this (I shall say it): farting. In fact, my wife frequently encourages me to take a lactaid pill before consuming milk but I refuse, because I like doing what the tooting cows do. So, for those of us who are pro cows and anti ozone, and who have young kids or grandkids, this book will delight you.
For those of you who are offended by this topic, you REALLY need this book!
