A very good primer into many common themes in therapy. The author does a good job of describing and giving examples of the concepts as well as giving journaling prompts and some tools and work throughs. The organization here made a lot of intuitive sense to me. A great book for someone wanting to work through mental health issues for whom in person therapy is inaccessible. Also, a good resource as a sort of workbook for refreshers for anyone who is in therapy or has been in therapy to keep doing the work outside of the room.

Kati’s new title is a perfect self-help guide to understanding why we keep doing the same things over and over again. I’m famous for that behavior, and I’ve struggled to make real change. Kati’s book was well-planned and executed because I found myself having a blueprint for proper healing. I think this will be a hit with therapists and most people looking to understand why they do the things they do and how to improve their approach to become a better version of themselves. Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC. It deserves all the stars!
