Everleigh Hartnett and Cade Witherspoon each inherited half of an Inn - Everleigh’s Godmother's beloved seaside bed-and-breakfast, ‘The Sunshine Inn’
Everleigh is a traveling nurse who specializes in caring for newborns who were born premature; but worked at her Godmother’s Sunshine Inn when she was young actually until she went off to college to train to be a nurse.
Cade has worked at the Inn for the last two years.
Everleigh and Cade are opposites in every way.
She wants to list the Inn for sale in order to fund a nonprofit organization – in fact has had a fantastic offer from a realtor. Cade wants to keep the Inn and add onto the business.
Although Everleigh and Cade get caught up in family drama it is a heartwarming story. .
Some readers say they get bored with romance stories and say they are soooo predictable..
Have to admit I sometimes feel the same way. However Romance author Katherine Center tells us that reading romance stories is and should be fun!
A Romance story gives us the sense that something is going to get better; something to look forward to. I do agree with her!
Want to thank NetGalley and Thomas Nelson and Zondervan Fiction Audio - Thomas Nelson Fiction for granting me this audiobook.

Second Chance at Sunshine Inn Honest ARC Review:
Perfect for fans on Anne Marie Meyer and RaeAnne Thayne, this charming coastal romance does not disappoint. I really enjoyed reading the storyline, seeing the characters unfold, develop throughout the novel and come together when it mattered most.
After the loss of her Godmother, Everleigh inherits 50% of the Inn that was quite special to her.
When Everleigh inherited half of the Inn, she dreamed of selling it to start the nonprofit that she and her godmother had always envisioned. Everleigh is a NICU nurse who traveled for work and did not anticipate staying in her hometown to manage the Inn. There was an unexpected catch to her inheritance….
The other half is inherited by Cade. Guarded and Grumpy, Cade is the polar opposite of Everleigh. Cade enjoyed managing the Inn and hoped to keep it running as it had been.
As the two worked together, opening the Inn while they sought the perfect buyer for the property, they developed a friendship. The two experienced a bit of a roller coaster as they attempted to do what they believed Alana, the previous owner of the Inn would have wanted.
Unexpected arrival of visitors in town and familial drama added a bit of tension to the situation. Second Chance at Sunshine Inn tugs at your heartstrings.
This is definitely one to add to your TBR!

Everleigh is a happy and bubbly NICU nurse but her contract just ended. She is now in Coral Cove for the funeral of her godmother Alana. At the attorney’s office, she finds out that she inherits 50% of Alana’s B&B, Sunshine Inn. The other 50% is inherited by Cade Witherspoon.
Cade Witherspoon is a grumpy employee of the Sunshine Inn and caretaker of Alana. Cade and Everleigh now have to decide together what to do with the B&B. She wants to sell it and move on with her life but he wants to keep living and running in the B&B. Cade and Everleigh agreed that Everleight gets two months to try to sell the B&B. If she couldn’t sell it within that time, Cade would get to keep running the B&B and Everleigh would only be a silent partner.
For now Everleigh and Cade run the B&B together and they end up spending more and more time together. After all this time will Everleigh still want to sell the B&B, or did she change her mind? And is Cade still insisting that he runs the B&B alone, or will he want to keep running the B&B with Everleigh?
Amy Clipston did it again! This is a sweet and cute grumpy x sunshine romance book. I highly recommend this book to anyone. It’s the perfect read for this summer.
The book is written in third person. Normally I don’t like books that are written like this and I think it’s really hard to follow, but this book was easy to follow.
I absolutely loved the characters. Everleigh and Cade both had great backstories and I loved how they came together.
I read and listened to this book at the same time. The production of the audiobook was great. The narrator was really good and spoke very clearly.
Thank you NetGalley and Thomas Nelson Fiction for the ARC. All opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

Everleigh Hartnett comes back to her hometown when her Godmother Alana dies and names her in her will to own half of the inn Alana owned. Cade Witherspoon is also named in the will and Everleigh is confused who this guy is and why would Alana give him half of the inn too. Everleigh wants to sell and go back to her traveling nurse life but Cade wants to keep the inn running as Alana wished him to do.
This is an enemy to lovers story that I liked a lot. It was a little slow on the romance side but ended super cute. I definitely recommend this for a fun summer book to listen to as you do dishes or fold laundry.
I received a complimentary copy of this audiobook. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

I just finished a good summer listen. Second Chance at Sunshine Inn by Amy Clipston was very heartwarming.

Second Chance at the Sunshine Inn is a Coral Cove novel by Amy Clipston. Everleigh Hartnett has just completed her latest nursing contract in Texas and is heading home to Coral Cove, North Carolina. Unfortunately it is not for a well deserved rest but for the sad occasion of her dear godmother’s passing. Alana McFadden had been her mother’s best friend forever and an integral part of Everleigh’s life, almost like a second mother. She spend much of her growing up years at Alana’s beautiful beachfront Sunshine Inn, even working there as she got older. And now to think Alana is gone is unbearable.
With her rideshare moving at a snail’s pace from the airport, Everleigh worries she will be too late for the reading of the will. When she finally does get there, a stranger is the one to help her unload her luggage as the rain still comes down and the surly driver doesn’t move from his seat. The stranger even helps her get it into the attorney’s office, even following her inside. Everleigh is surprised when it is only her mother and the stranger, to be introduced as Cade Witherspoon, and herself that are called in for the reading of the will, with her siblings missing. An even bigger surprise comes when the bulk of Alana’s estate, including the Inn, its furnishings, and her accounts are to be split evenly between Everleigh and Cade.
Everleigh sees this as an opportunity to use the proceeds of a sale to start the nonprofit she had discussed with Alana, feeling that was the purpose of the legacy. Cade sees it as a new beginning, but one where he will run the Inn as Everleigh returns to her nomadic traveling nurse lifestyle as a silent partner.
As heads butt, realtors try to get the property for developers and a stranger from a grocery cart collision keeps inserting himself into Everleigh’s life. Months pass with no resolution. Reservations are reopened for the Inn and many return visitors come as well as new ones. And still, the conflict isn’t resolved. Neither is the personal tension between the two owners.
This is a well written story with endearing characters and a lovely coastal setting. I very much enjoyed this book and I do recommend it!

Just like a Hallmark movie! Everleigh and Cade are total opposites and they inherit a bed and breakfast. Cute grumpy/sunshine romance. Cozy and clean.
