Thank you to NetGalley for providing this copy in exchange for my honest thoughts!
I absolutely loved this book — it was beautifully written and kept me hooked the entire time. Clayton and Jamie’s story was heartfelt and believable, with so much chemistry and depth in their relationship. I really enjoyed how their characters grew together and how their challenges were handled with care.
The supporting characters and the overall atmosphere added so much charm to the story. I’m so glad I chose this, and I can’t wait to read more from this author. Highly recommend to anyone who loves a well-crafted romance with genuine emotion!

I loved this book! It was laugh-out-loud funny—especially for an enemies-to-lovers romance—and the banter was chef’s kiss. And Clayton? Total swoon. 100% my type of man. The writing was sharp, the pacing was perfect, and even though it was a long read, it never once dragged. I didn’t want it to end. Huge thanks to NetGalley for the ARC!

Alexa, play “Gone Country” by Alan Jackson 🙂↕️
First reviewwww!! I absolutely loved this book! As someone who’s been sticking to the fantasy genre, this was such a refreshing change of pace and I was hooked from the very first page. The writing is fast-paced, easy to sink into, and kept me invested the wholeeee way through. (Also it was lowkey giving Ella Langley and Riley Green if Riley Green actually liked Ella🤣)
Clayton (mmc), is such a sweetheart, and Jamie (fmc) is a spitfire. Together, their chemistry is everything you could want in a slow-burn romance. I also ADORED the side romance between Clayton’s brother and Jamie’s assistant?? Hunter is spoiling us with the romanceee💘
Honorable mention to all country and pop culture references sprinkled throughout. It gave the story such a fun, down-to-earth vibe.
This was such a cute and heartwarming read, perfect for anyone who loves romance and country music with lovable characters.

I really enjoyed the characters in Gone Country. Their backstories felt real and made it easy to connect with them emotionally. The slow burn romance was a highlight for me; the pacing gave the relationship time to grow naturally, which made it feel more genuine and rewarding by the end.
That said, a lot of the Southern characters didn’t quite ring true. The accents, attitudes, and dialogue often felt forced or stereotypical, which pulled me out of the story more than once. Still, the emotional depth and relationship arc made it a worthwhile read overall.
