Unless they have hurt someone first. When he is put under a spell, will he be able to fight it and not hurt Emilia? Great story. Mystery. Sort of friends to lovers. Forced proximity. Hector is a Dragon King. Filled with magic and very powerful. In this book he is bound and forced into serving. I loved how Emelia came into her own. Justice takes many forms but it wins out.

This is the first book I’ve read in this series, however I really enjoyed it! There wasn’t like a super ton of world building, however I also haven’t read any of the other books so it’s very possible I missed some of that through the series.

I really enjoyed the style of magic that was laid out in this book with the dragon kings and the others. I’ve read other books where the magic didn’t really make a lot of sense but it felt like it did in this book.

I will say that I’m not a super big fan of books that are written in the 3rd person, I prefer first person view points, but that didn’t change my enjoyment
