This was forgettable. Of course it didn't compare to the movie but I still expected more. I expected a book version of the movie that I could use to start a tradition reading this to my kids every year but I don't think so.

As seems to happen with so many picture book adaptations of movies and TV shows, the story is a bit stilted and forced. The illustrations are great, though, and kids will love the booby traps Kevin lays for the burglars.
