I really liked these affirmations and am thrilled with the format. You get the affirmation in big print and then, if it suits your mindset, you can read more about that thought on the next page. You can approach this book in a day by day, one page after another method or you can flip until you find one that resonates or you can simply open the book to a random page. I appreciate that it is designed to appeal to different types of readers.

“This book is for remembering all that you are—for reconnecting with who you were always meant to be.”
Affirmations for Self Love by Zanna Keithley provides thoughtful affirmations to guide the reader on a journey to rediscover themselves. It pairs brief affirmations alongside longer, meditative paragraphs to allow for true reconnection with the self; Affirmations for Self Love reminds the reader how wonderful and capable they already are.
The text begins with an introduction that includes definitions for commonly used terms. Then, Keithley offers ideas on how to work through the book. Suggestions included reading one affirmation per day in order, reading the entire book in one sitting, interacting sporadically with the text when needed, and letting the Universe guide the reading by flipping to an intuitively random page. I personally sequentially worked through the affirmations, pausing whenever I felt “ready”. The introduction also provided methods to engage with the affirmations themselves, like honoring the feelings during reading, reading as much as you like at a time, setting intentions, and marking affirmations for repeated use. I appreciated how non-judgmental these suggestions were. As someone who is just beginning their self-love journey, this was very helpful. However, I can also see how they would support those with more experience.
I loved the affirmations themselves! I will not discuss them in detail in this review, as I believe that discovering them is part of the fun of the book. If you are searching for super short, cheesy, cliché affirmations, Affirmations for Self Love is NOT the book for you! The affirmations were both thoughtful and thought-provoking. I loved that the short affirmations were paired with the longer paragraphs, and I felt that the paragraphs illuminated some ideas that may not have been as obvious in the affirmation.
The only aspect of this book that I didn’t enjoy was that I had to read it on my phone. I attempted to read this book on my Kindle and laptop, but neither was a pleasant reading experience. In an ideal world, I would have loved to experience the text away from the distractions of my phone, but I still enjoyed the book overall. I would give this book 4.5 stars if I could, but instead, I will give it 4/5.
Thank you to NetGalley, Zanna Keithley, and Adams Media for the ARC copy of the book in exchange for my review! All expressed opinions are my own.

WOW! This book truly spoke to me in a way I didn’t expect. The affirmations included aren’t just words on a page — they felt personal, powerful, and deeply healing. I found myself reflecting, healing, and reconnecting with myself as I read through each one.
What stood out most is how helpful these affirmations have been in my day-to-day life. They serve as gentle reminders to be kind to myself, to believe in my worth, and to keep going even when I feel off or disconnected. It’s the kind of book that doesn’t just sit on a shelf — it’s one I return to often, especially during tough moments.
I truly believe this is a book everyone should read at least once. Take notes, highlight the affirmations that speak to you, and revisit them daily. It’s a beautiful and grounding resource for anyone on a journey toward deeper self-love.

I love practicing affirmations and the self-love affirmations was so beautifully written. It helps to remind you not to be so hard on yourself and to love yourself. This book really opened my eyes on how to start positively believing and really loving myself.

This book is great if you struggle with relaxing and feeling less anxiety or stress from life, a bit of guidance in stripping back to the core values of life, even simply just appreciating being alive and breathing this book really captures the feeling that it is enough and encouraging you to listen to your mind and body and trust in how it's feeling and telling you to react to life situations you face.
One particular area of the book focuses on stillness and sitting with yourself, often feeling everything we are trying to process deeply and how reflecting alone we can work through healing the emotions not just cope.
Another great point about being less harsh on judging ourselves too I think we can all relate to and appreciate steps we make most of all towards goals.
The pages are laid out well with various font sizing's and eye catching colours, shades of pink with white and black text to be easier to stand out and read a really nice light colour pallete for the subject matter.

I loved this book. Sometimes you really just need to remind yourself that you are more than the circumstances that surround you and need something to ground you. This book provides self affirmations to do just that. I hate having to think of affirmations for myself, so having this book to turn to when I’m in need of an affirmation will be so helpful in the future. I plan on using this for my own practice. So glad to have a resource like this for myself and for others who struggle with self affirmation practices.

What a beautiful and unique book. Affirmations for Self Love is perfect for both beginners and those more experienced with affirmation practice. I love that each affirmation is explored in depth, it adds a richness I haven’t seen in similar books. There are multiple ways to read it, which makes the experience feel personal and intuitive. I read the e-book and let the universe guide me by picking a number that came to mind; a lovely, serendipitous way to engage with the text. Highly recommend for anyone on a self-love journey.
