🎧 AUDIOBOOK REVIEW 🎧

I rated this dramatized adaptation of Those Empty Eyes 4 stars. The story was gripping and full of twists, and the dramatized format really enhanced the suspense. Multiple narrators, sound effects, and the immersive production made it feel more like listening to a movie than a traditional audiobook, which kept me engaged throughout.
The plot itself was compelling, with layers of mystery and tension that unfolded at just the right pace. While at times the dramatization felt a bit over the top, overall it added intensity and atmosphere that fit the story well. Fans of thrillers and true-crime style mysteries will likely enjoy this unique listening experience.

I had previously read this book and loved it but the Dramatized Adaptation just made it so much better! I am a somewhat new reader of Charlie Donlea but he is quickly becoming a favorite author.

"Those Empty Eyes" keeps you on the edge of your seat and constantly guessing. Alex has been trying to solve the mystery of who killed her family while at the same time trying to stay out of the spotlight. She has changed as much about herself as she can to keep hidden. Once being falsely accused of murdering her family, she has grown and now makes it her career to help others who have been falsely accused.

Alex comes across a student reporter who shares that she is on the verge of breaking a big story about cover-ups and sexual assaults among the college. The student is soon missing. As Alex tries to help solve this case, she finds that she may be closer to finding answers to her own family tragedy than she thought.

Thank you Netgalley, Charlie Donlea, and RBmedia for the chance to get an advanced copy of "Those Empty Eyes" Dramatized Adaptation audiobook. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

This is 100% on me for not reading the trigger warnings beforehand. GraphicAudio for this kind of book sounded great in theory, but it was too much for me.
