Brooks has written, what I believe, is the best new installation in the science fiction canon and deserves accolades at the tier of the greats like Butler and Asimov. It's a totally refreshing tale set in an incredibly tangible world with characters fully fleshed to the point of inherent familiarity. I felt like I wanted more as soon as the book ended! Brooks has a definitive voice and a knack for shock (and more importantly) awe. Its harrowing and hopeful all in the same breath. I can't imagine a better way to spend an afternoon that with Kaieda and the gang. SEQUEL SEQUEL SEQUEL NOW NOW NOW!

Atlantis Travelers by Bonnie Brooks is well-written and an enjoyable read to the end.
It's a soft sci-fi novel, with murder mysteries to enhance the action.. The author did an excellent job in the development of every character, both New Atlantean and Earthers. Even with a list of characters provided at the onset, the New Atlantean first and family (clan) names were a challenge at first, however, all relationships were explained during the course of the novel. I found the backstory in the history of the new planet extremely interesting. The team concept and goals behind each of the earthly visitors made the story a delight, with no suspension of belief or plot holes.
The book is forthcoming in September, a great buy in paperback or e-book format for all travelers wherever they may go.

My thanks to the publisher an author for an advance copy of Atlantis Travelers by Bonnie Brooks..
