I enjoyed the narrator very much. I did not care much for the story.
Thank you to Harlequin for my complimentary eARC and audiobook of Season of The Witch. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
This was a tough sell for me. I enjoy enemies to lovers but this one had so much animosity it was not enjoyable. I did not care for the character of Tia at all.
I also had trouble wrapping my head around witches and Christmas. I’m sure it’s a me problem.
I enjoyed the updates of the characters from the previous books.
The audio narrator did a great job with all the characters.

The third book of the Toil & Trouble series, this is the story of Tia and Henry’s second chance romance. In my opinion, they are the best of the couples. Because of that, this was my favorite book in the series. I loved the satisfying character growth towards emotional maturity, and you can’t beat the cozy Christmas vibes. Because it’s also delightfully witchy, I would say the BEST time to read this one is when fall is turning to winter 🎄 ❄️ 🌙
Natalie Duke has been a great narrator for this whole series. Very clear and crisp and the perfect voice for the modern witch.
Thank you to Harlequin for the gifted copies!

𝐑𝐄𝐕𝐈𝐄𝐖 ~ 𝐒𝐄𝐀𝐒𝐎𝐍 𝐎𝐅 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐖𝐈𝐓𝐂𝐇 ~by Sophie H. Morgan ~ Thanks to Harlequin Books, Audible Audio, Netgalley and the author for an ALC copy of this book. This is book #3 in 𝐓𝐨𝐢𝐥 & 𝐓𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬, (which readers are loving), but can easily be read as a stand alone; Although, it does seem that fans of the first two books are getting a lot of satisfaction from Tia and Henry’s story. This one is fun for either fall because of its magic/witch/warlock vibes or for the winter holiday season because of all things Christmas/snow/hot-chocolate… Either way, settle in for a seasonally fueled romance.
Take some new-age witches/warlocks, sprinkle in a couple meddling families and a business mergers, an episode of fake-dating, a dose of forced proximity, add some meals, games, competitions and a few antagonists, mix in a venerable, wealthy warlock and his wife, stir in family drama and secrets, and top it off with plenty of unresolved sexual tension and plenty of snow and you will have a cauldron of all you need to enjoy this seasonal, spicy romance. This follows the basic romance formula, so if you like that genre this is a good fit. This was a nice start to some books with fall/winter vibes. Simple and easy.
⭐️⭐️⭐️💫 (3.5) maybe 3.25.. but fine in its genre lane..
Happy Witches Potions and Snowy Fun Romance Reading All! 📚❤️🍁🌲

Thanks to NetGalley and Harlequin Audio for an advanced listening copy of Season of the Witch in exchange for my honest opinion. Season of the Witch was released to retailers on September 2, 2025.
Season of the Witch is cute and spicy. The spice is one of the best parts of the book. Enemies to lovers, 2nd chance romance, fake dating, forced proximity, and one bed all come together to make a fun read that is great for fall! Tia and Henry dated when they were younger, but life and family got in the way. Several years later, they need to fake date for their family businesses to get a big account. This fake dating and an accidental potion which causes Henry to lose his memory, is a recipe for Tia and Henry to have their second chance. They just have to decide if their romance is worth it….
I like the narrator of this audiobook. I listen fast (1.9) and was able to understand clearly. I also liked how expressive she was. This was a last minute NetGalley request and I’m glad I listened!!

Season of The Witch by Sophie H. Morgan
I enjoyed the banter between the two MC’s. MissTia stubborn as can be… Henry equally cocky to her stubbornness!! I love how it was set up for these two to truly get to know one another in a Christmas I have no choice but to get know each other kinda way… the thing is they did… they are exe’s… but being young and knowing it all didn’t really work the first time around… because they didn’t give each other a true chance to….redemption is bliss!!
Natalie Duke brought Tia to life with great sass and stubbornness…however, for Henry…sometimes he sounded like an old man who just gave up…maybe intended that way… but overall I loved the characters and spunk!!
Overall I would recommend because it’s cozy and the 3rd in a cute series where friendship and love all play a role. The background descriptions were awesome. Just makes you want to curl up on your couch in your pjs with a nice mug of hot chocolate ☕️!!
Thank you #NetGalley #Harlequin Audio

Not bad. The premise was original and interesting. I didn't know if it could be pulled off! And honestly, plot-wise it was. But as far as the writing goes... it was subpar and could've done with significant editing.

This was a Christmas book that was not for me, but some people will probably love. It reminds me of the Ex Hex but way more centered on sex. The main characters are so driven by that that it seems like there is nothing else to their desire to be with each other or their relationship. Verbally the author tells us there is, but we don’t see it at all. I felt like I was getting information that didn’t match what was happening. It make it feel shallow.
What I did like was the Christmas vibes and the idea of fake dating to win a sales pitch. If the book had focused more on the cute and fun aspects, like a rom com, I likely would have enjoyed it more. I also have not read the previous books in the series so I didn’t know how spicy it would be. And yes, it is spicy.

3.5⭐️ Season of the Witch is the longest sales pitch set in a home/town that loves the holiday season. It's a spicy romance that is heavy on the spice and light on the plot. Having the MMC lose all his memories of the FMC made it possible to hash out the complicated feelings that come with second-chance romance. The series follows three friends, but each story is a standalone. You'll see all the characters in each story, though. I feel like the spice could have been pulled back a little to give way to more character growth. The FMC holds a heavy grudge, and by the end, I was kind of shocked that it was mostly self-inflicted, or maybe self-exaggerated is a better word.
Tropes:
Second Chance Romance
One Bed
Small Town
Holidays
Thank you to Harlequin Audio and Netgalley for the ALC.

I love this series and this one was a great conclusion (and very festive)! You have a second chance romance/enemies to lovers/fake dating story. I had a great time reading this one. The narrator did a wonderful job!
I received an arc from netgalley and the publisher in exchange for an honest review.

Henry and Tia dated and broke up 8 years ago and since then Tia has not spoken to him. Now their families are working together and they put these 2 to get and investment from a wealthy warlock. Before they left they had worked on a spell that went wrong. Henry lost his memory of them breaking up. I found it a cute book and spicy. I could not stand Henrys father or Tia's mom. They are to controlling. I never could understand why parents are like that.
I enjoyed this story even though I didn't read the other 2 books of the series.
Thank you to NetGalley for the audiobook to review.

This was a fun book that I was able to get an advanced listener copy of.
Tia is a high society witch struggling to meet her parent’s expectations. When forced to work with her ex, Henry after their families merge their companies, a challenge at a party results in Henry losing his memories of her, and a misunderstanding results in a potential investor believing they are a couple and inviting them to spend a month at his estate in England over the holidays.
Having to share a room and bed makes faking their feelings for each other increasingly difficult. Henry may not remember Tia, but is determined to find out where their relationship went wrong all those years ago, if only for a chance to find a new direction in the future. But will he be able to tear down Tia’s walls before his memories come back and potentially put an end to whatever is building now?
This was a sweet romantic comedy with a magical twist, which made it stand out from your typical second chance romances. I loved that the author held back on their history so you could find out pieces as they built in the present, rather than front-loading everything and then trying to make the characters battle their past.
This should definitely be on your holiday reading list.

✨What a great festive listen!!!😍🪄
We have Tia is a powerful witch who’d rather hex herself than deal with her ex. But when their families’ companies merge, she’s stuck fake-dating him to land a big investor. 🙃 Just to make things extra fun, a potion accident wipes Henry’s memory of their messy breakup—so he’s basically falling for her all over again... and shes hella unsure about it👀
This book gives you:
✨ Enemies-to-lovers slow burn
✨ Fake dating + amnesia twist
✨ Cozy Christmas carnivals, mulled wine, & witchy spells
✨ A fierce, guarded heroine + a hero determined to win her back
It was a grear magical, festive listen full of crackling banter; honeslty just perfect if you want holiday romance with a witchy twist and just the right sprinkle of spice. ❄️❤️
Big Thank you to Harlequin Audio & NetGalley for an ALC Copy of Season Of the Witch!!

This is my first time reading a book by Sophie H Morgan, and I really enjoyed it. This was a fun rival exes to lovers/amnesia/fake dating romance. I was really impressed by how each of these tropes were used. I love a good amnesia plot.
Thank-you to NetGalley and Harlequin Audio for the advanced listener copy. One of my favourite narrators, Natalie Duke narrates this. It was a pleasure to listen to. I highly recommend this book for spooky season or even as a Christmas read. I'm going to go back and read the first two books of this Toil and Trouble series. 4.5stars.

🌶️🌶️🌶️
My first Christmas romance of the season...but with witches!
*Two stubborn lead characters = ridiculous banter
*So entertaining, I couldn't stop listening and finished this in less than 24 hours
*Flaw: the MMC is blonde. I know that may be hard for some of us to look past, but his personality did mostly make up for it
*Audio narrator Natalie Duke was excellent! Part of the reason I was so invested was her great characterization
Thank you to Harlequin audio for the gifted ALC!

Season of the Witch was an audiobook alc which was great from the first chapter!
I love any books that have witchy vibes as well as the enemies-to-lovers and second chance tropes. Tia Hightower is an upper class witch who hates her ex-boyfriend, Henry (also an upper class warlock). When they make a bet and the potion Tia gives Henry erases his memory, she is left trying to figure out how to fix it before it affects their family’s business
Henry and Tia pretend to be lovers to get a business deal and while doing so, Tia falls for Henry again but is afraid to love him again because of their rocky past. Henry has to figure out how to convince Tia he is not the same man as before and earn her trust and love back.
This book had me laughing, crying, and gasping during Tia and Henry’s interactions and spicy scenes 🌶️ 🫢 I loved the character development for Henry in particular and wanted to throttle both him and Tia toward the end while also rooting for their HEA.
This was absolutely a 5 ⭐️ audiobook listen for me and thank you NetGalley and Sophie Morgan for the alc of this book!

What a cute mix of cozy, spooky and holiday romance Season of the witch was. It was such a fun time to listen to this audio book narrated by Natalie Duke. It has several of my favorite tropes and was bound to be a good time. A witchy holiday romance I was so there for it. Loved how Henry and Tia try to learn from their mistakes in the end and try to overcome the miscommunication they have been dealing with.

This is a cute fake dating an ex, witchy Christmas romance. Tia Hightower is a powerful high society witch. She hasn’t spoken to her ex Henry for years, but now that their families have merged their businesses, she has to pretend to be dating him during a winter house party with an important investor.
Unfortunately, one of Tia’s potions has erased Henry’s memory of her, and now he doesn’t remember why they broke up. Of course they are sharing a room with only one bed, which leads to spicy benefits and developing feelings.
I enjoyed the festive vibes of a Christmas party, the magical aspects and found family friends in this book.
I will admit that I never fully connected to Tia as a character, but Henry is very likeable, and he displays true feelings for Tia. He loves her despite her character flaws.
I found the book entertaining, and enjoyed it as my first Christmas romance of the year. If you enjoy a light, cute, spicy, magical fake dating Christmas romance, you might want to give this one a try.
Thank you to @netgalley and @harlequinbooks for the ALC in return for an honest review.

Oh how I LOVE this series! This book has been the most fun of the 3. I really hope that there are more in the future! Ok details!
I really enjoyed the narrators voice. I do speed it up, but her voice was soothing and had lots of infections and helped the story. I've wondered since the first book what happened between Henry and Tia. I'm so glad that we finally get to find out what happened... Even if it was something so simple. I loved this second chance, enemies to lovers, amnesia story.

Thank you to NetGalley and Harlequin Audio for the advance listening copy of Season of the Witch. This book was spicyyyy, definitely more than I was expecting! Tia guarding her heart felt so relatable, like every girl who's been through heartbreak. I really felt for her. Henry, on the other hand, was such a lovable character that it was hard not to side with him at times. I especially enjoyed watching their growth throughout the story and how their relationship developed along the way. Overall, this was such a fun, witchy, and spicy read!

The premise of Season of the Witch is really fun! A witch and her ex, who has amnesia, fake date! They are also rivals and it made for great tension.
The audio performance was very well done and kept me engaged.
