thank you netgalley and publishers for providing me with an arc of this book<33
piper and archie were so cute😭💓
‘I laugh. He smiles. My day gets a little better.’
but, almost definitely just a me problem (idk what’s been up with my brain recently), i kept forgetting who the side characters were😔
i had so much fun with this it was cute and easy to read (despite it taking me a while to get into🫣😪) but i’ll probably forget everything about it in like a month- it wasn’t the most memorable read for me but it was still so fun!💓💓

Absolutely loved this book. Has the perfect amount of humour, while still managing to be a little angsty!

I feel like Brittany Larsen's writing style was not for me. I did like the taboo aspect of them being ex step siblings. While I think the story had good banter, I could not get over how childish Archie seemed. I also feel like the ending was a bit rushed. I did like the found family vibes in this book, how they all came together to find a solution to the problem. While this book was not for me, I could see why someone else would love it.

Book 2 of the Love In LA Series - this is a light-hearted romcom with lots of teasing and rivalry. However, there is a big theme of compassion / seeing others perspectives. I enjoyed the depth of character and the character development that happened throughout the book from both MCs.
Archie and Piper are technically step-siblings, even though they were largely removed from each other’s lives, and by the end of the book their parents are divorced. This creates an odd dynamic and plot device. Personally I didn’t really like this aspect of the story but it did deepen the opportunity for character development and understanding.
Also the majority of the book encompasses a 2 week time span besides a few chapters at the end of the book and the epilogue. It seemed everything happened quickly, but in the end I thought their story was very cute.
I really enjoyed seeing Britta and Dex again. As well as the other side characters who we are getting more information for.
This is a clean closed door romcom with one curse, some innuendo, and some bare buttcheeks.
**Thank you so much to Brittany for letting me read this ARC via NetGalley. I received a complimentary copy. No positive review was required. All thoughts are my own.**

This one was such a cute, lighthearted enemies-to-lovers romcom! Piper needs a place to live while she interns and ends up moving into a gorgeous beach house her mom got in a divorce settlement… only to find Archie, her ex-stepbrother, already living there. Immediate chaos. Archie agrees to hand over the keys eventually, but not before he “figures out his own life” first, which of course means these two are stuck under the same roof.
The banter? So funny. The pranks? Perfect for this setting. I loved that it didn’t fall into the insta-love trap, where this relationship actually had time to build, which made it so much more satisfying. It’s sweet, clean, and full of cute and witty moments that made me smile.
The side characters were just as great and added so much personality and fun to the story. I had no idea this was a 2nd book in a series, so it can totally be a standalone read, but I'm now jumping back to read the first, it was that good! Overall, this was a feel-good read perfect for when you need something charming and uplifting.

ARC REVIEW:
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Archie Forsythe and Piper Quinn might be related by marriage, but their relationship is anything but familial. After years of no contact, the two are forced to come together over their parent’s impending divorce. With neither willing to relinquish ownership nor residency of the $12 million dollar home, they become locked in a battle of wills and over the top pranks. Can a compromise be reached, or will their stubbornness prevent them from moving on?
Terms of Un-Endearment by Brittany Larsen is the second book in her Love in LA Series. Despite this book being apart of a series that features character crossovers, it can be read and enjoyed as a standalone novel.
This book took me by surprise. While it is a romcom, it isn’t afraid to tackle somewhat controversial subjects. With fashion playing a large role in the plot, Larsen used her platform to highlight topics such as sustainability and eco friendly options, unethically acquiring designs, and the use of undocumented workers.
While the controversial subject matter challenged me to see things from a different perspective, the love story left me feeling unsettled. Yes, Archie and Piper weren’t biologically related, but their families did somewhat integrate. The whole thing seemed a bit taboo for me. I would have preferred their relationship evolve into a strong friendship. *With that said Larsen’s writing is so good I still rated this four stars!!!
Read this book for:
-Step Siblings (soon to be former)
-Age Gap (small)
-Forced Proximity (sharing one home)
-Battle of the Wills/ Prank War
Special thanks to NetGalley and Brittany Larsen Books for allowing me to read this book in exchange for my honest review.

A sweet romcom!
I'm a sucker for enemies to lovers, and a lover of pranks. So this sweet romcom was exactly what I was looking for.

Terms of Un-Endearment is a witty and irresistible romance brimming with sharp banter, sizzling tension, and laugh-out-loud moments. Brittany Larsen delivers a delightful enemies-to-lovers story as Archie and Piper’s battle for shared space turns into an undeniable connection. I loved the playful pranks, the crackling chemistry, and the heartfelt moments that balanced the humor. It was thoroughly entertaining from start to finish and I gave it five stars.

I loved this book! 5⭐️ It is deliciously funny, and hilarious. It also navigates difficult family relationships, personal growth, and setting boundaries. I loved the play and chemistry between Archie and Piper—the enemy vibes especially. There are about 5 mild swears, alcohol consumption (mostly beer) with one instance of drunkenness and level 1 kisses only. Dual POV.

My last read was an extremely heavy one so I needed something lighter as a palate cleanser. Terms of Un-Endearment fit the bill perfectly! You've got Piper and Archie, step siblings who have never been on the best of terms. Due to a mix up, they end up living in the same house as their parents work out their divorce settlement.
This book was just overall a lot of fun. There was lots of good banter and moments that just made me smile. The prank war was entertaining but despite all the pranks and barbs tossed back and forth, you could still feel the chemistry between the two. This one is definitely a sloooooooow burn romance though! The cast of side characters was a great addition and I think they added to the story without complicating it too much. Overall, a great, lighthearted, entertaining read!
Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the review copy in exchange for my honest opinions.

Terms of Un -Endearment
When Piper goes to live in a $12 million Los Angeles beach house given to her mother in her divorce she does not expect to be living with her step brother Archie whose father had treated her mother badly and was horrible to her when she was young. Unfortunately because the settlement has not yet been laid they have to live together for 2 weeks, neither trusting the other. So starts a campaign of pranks between the two to get one to leave.Although these pranks were amusing unlike other reviewers I didn’t find the hilarious or laugh out loud.
This is a very slow burn romance, each realising they are attracted to each other, unfortunately by slow they don’t even get to kiss until near the end of the book. There is a good cast of characters and Archie’s father is certainly the villain in this story I found it lacking somehow.
The epilogue almost wraps it up but again it it could of given more detail whether Archie’s father’s somehow realised the error of his ways.
My thanks to net galley and publisher for the opportunity to review this book honestly.

After reading Terms of Un-Endearment by Brittany Larsen I need to get book one Britta & the Beach Boy.
There were so many great side characters as well.
This book had me laughing out loud at some moments and then crying the next.
I completely binged this book way past my bedtime with zero regrets.
This book is full of heart and is a great book from Brittany Larsen.

Piper is need a place to stay in LA while she does her internship. Her mom suggests piper stays at her ex stepfathers summer home. After some hesitation, piper agrees to stay at summer home. When she gets to the summer house, piper is shocked to see that ex stepbrother Archie is staying in the house. Neither one of them has anywhere else to stay. So they both start playing games to get the other of them to leave the house.
