Such a wonderful book! This was a different trad for me but I enjoyed every second of it. I look forward to reading more from this author!

"From a little spark may burst a flame."
I loved the concept of this story from just the first blurb I read. Delvica is a teenage girl and happens to be Satan's only child. She is coming to terms with the fact that she is supposed to take over the Underworld when she turns eighteen. That is, until she meets Nathan Reynolds and realizes he may have been sent to Hell in error. Now she is forced to question everything she's ever known.
This is such a cute story, but it does have a bit of a cliffhanger. Now, I cannot wait to see what happens next! This is a closed-door romance, so there is no real spice if that is what you are looking for.

Thank you entangled for letting me read this ARC.
This book is a YA book and it def shows. It’s about the devils daughter who is in training to take over as the queen of hell. She meets a young man whose soul is damned and set to be put with the worst of the worst. They form a plan to escape hell together and from their chaos ensues.
It’s a fun book with good banter. It was just a bit too YA for me. And some parts of the book moved way too fast and lots of the family dynamic should have been explored more.

This was such a fun, adventure packed read!
Devica is the daughter of the Prince of Darkness and has lived her life in hell- literally. She is set to inherit her father’s throne but starts to question certain things she thought were true about herself and the system entirely & sets out on a mission to find answers.
This book was heartwarming and funny and I had a great time!

Thank you Entangled Publishing for the E-ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review. 🥰

This one took me a little bit to get into but overall I still really enjoyed it. I felt like the last half of the book pulled me in more and I couldn’t tell you why the first half had plenty happening and the writing style was perfect for me. I’m a mood reader and I just don’t think I was in the right mindset for the first half of this one. But overall I still really enjoyed it and loved the epilogue! I’m excited for the next book!

This book is so much fun! Devica is a fantastic heroine. She is smart, strong, independent, and a genuinely good person. Following her as she struggles to figure out who she is, her place in the world, and who we were born vs who we become is so much fun. This book is an absolute adventure every step of the way. I laughed so much but I also had all the feels. It’s a wonderful story of self discovery, first love, and family.

This was more fun than I anticipated! I ended up finishing this in one sitting. The characters were so witty and had such good chemistry that I could not put it down once I started reading. Being fast paced, action packed with short chapters made this one hilariously addictive. Definitely a great Y/A read, with just the right amount of romance to offset the high stakes, mission oriented plot. The only thing that confused me for a bit was the timeline (time moving differently in hell, a year passes without really even realizing!) However it didn't take away from the story. In fact, I caught myself wiping some tears at one point. Such an inspiring overall message and uplifting ending... before I read the epilogue and was left needing another book more than I need air to breathe 😭 I highly reccomend for any young adults looking to get into fantasy romance!

Thank you to Entangled Insiders and NetGalley for this arc!
Overall, I did enjoy this book. I was engaged from the beginning and found it to be a very entertaining, quick read! I loved the banter and it had me laughing throughout the entire book. My only issue is that the pacing felt off, but otherwise, I would definitely recommend this if someone was looking for a light and funny read!

Of course Satan's family would have a bit of dysfunction, would you expect otherwise? An amusing and often funny romp through the underworld as the big guy's daughter tries to help a misclassified soul and come to terms with her lineage. Ends but not, so might be more adventures coming!

This was a fun coming-of-age fantasy story. I loved the world building for Hell. It was so creative and such an interesting environment. The first half was very engaging and interesting. However, at about 60% in the plot started to lose me. There were parts in the story that made me scratch my head in confusion and I just started to lose interest. I think this story would've benefited from being a bit shorter, because towards the end the pacing was off and the dialogue started to become a bit cringe (imo). Maybe it felt that way to me since its YA but the dialogue made it hard for me to connect with the characters. All in all I think it was an interesting story that just needs a bit tightening up to have the plot drag a bit less.

Not Today, Satan offers a playful and entertaining twist on Dante’s Inferno. The story is charming, the banter feels fresh, and it’s truly a page-turner. I was engaged from start to finish, and it made for a fun, quick read. I’m excited to explore more from this author. Thank you, Entangled Publishing, for the ARC!

Okay, this book? Pure YA chaos in the best way possible. 👹💜
Devica is Satan’s only daughter and reluctant heir to the throne of Hell. She was equal parts hilarious with a side of sarcasm, stubborn, and totally relatable, even while dealing with things like eternal damnation, demon politics, and oh yeah… accidentally catching feelings for a boy who may or may not belong in Hell. No big deal. 😏
The humor is spot on (the cat as demon line lives rent free in my head), the banter is sharp, and the romance? So sweet without ever taking over the story. Nate was the perfect golden retriever energy to balance out Devica’s sass, and their journey through Hell felt like a wild, witty road trip you don’t want to end. 🚪🔥
Was the pacing a little chaotic toward the end? Yeah. Did I mind? Absolutely not. It just added to the “rollercoaster through Hell” vibe this book totally nails. 🎢
If you love YA that mixes clever humor, found family feels, and just enough romance to make your heart flutter, then this book is for you. 🖤
Thank you to NetGalley, Samantha Joyce, and Entangled for the eARC of this book.

🔥✨ ARC Review ✨🔥
Not Today, Satan by Samantha Joyce
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💫
This YA rom-com of Hell was such a blast—equal parts witty banter, lovable chaos, and clever twists. 👹📚
Devica (Satan’s daughter 👀) was such a fun MC to follow, especially as she navigates betrayal, and power struggles. The mix of sharp humor + heartfelt themes made this book feel both entertaining and surprisingly meaningful.
The romcom elements? Adorably sweet 💕—and the side characters kept me cackling. The pacing got a little wild toward the end, but honestly, it just added to the ride.
Overall, this was such a fun, sassy, and clever YA read. If you love books that can make you laugh, root for the characters, and maybe question if your cat is secretly a demon 🐈⬛😈—then this one belongs on your TBR!
Thank you @entangledteen and @entangled_publishing for sending me this copy to review! 💜

Devica is the daughter of satan, and is expected to take over his role in the underworld. She is still learning how to use her powers and is not ready.
Her world turns upside down when a new soul claiming innocence enters the underworld. This ends up causing her to question everything. A few rash decisions and they are on the run.
It was fascinating as they navigated through hell and observed the punishments or obstacles designated for each sin.
It’s a quick modern retelling of Dante's Inferno imbued with a healthy dose of sass and snark. It’s an alternative take on the coming-of-age theme and personal growth through life experiences. It’s a great YA read.
Thank you to NetGalley and Entangled Publishing for this ARC!

Not Today, Satan was a really fun read. It was action packed, comedic, and while it has little spice (it is YA after all) it really didn't need it.
The characters are easy to connect with. The puns are witty, the jokes about hell are spot on, and the storyline was full of emotion, action and romance. It's the perfect romcom!
The ending seemed a tad rushed compared to the pacing of the rest of the book, but it definitely sets the reader up for a book 2 (please?).
The writing was so well done, it's was easy to picture everything that happened. I could honestly see this being made into a movie.
Thank you to Entangled Publishing for the opportunity to read this ARC!

Surprisingly, this book was a DNF for me at 50%. It’s an easy read, and there is humor and it uses common themes and tropes to make it a familiar type of fantasy read, even though this is a retelling and a new take on something.
This is very much a coming-of-age tense, cute fantasy book where the protagonist is a reluctant hero of sorts and she is trying to find her mom. For those that enjoy coming-of-age young adult fantasy novels with lots of banter and humor. I would recommend this book.
For me this book just did not click as much as I thought it would and I kept wanting to try to push through and I couldn’t figure out why it just wasn’t connecting for me. I can tell if I try to continue pushing through this book, I am not going to want to read as much fantasy in the future and so I need to set this book down for now. I think it is partially because I avoid novels with these tropes, and I tend to gravitate towards more unique books not to say this one isn’t unique as it clearly is I just prefer to navigate away from these tropes and themes specifically.
I personally am not a big fan of coming-of-age fan fantasy books and I don’t like it when family is a huge theme on coming-of-age fantasy books either so I think I’m just not the right audience for this particular book.
If those are tropes that you really heavily enjoy in fantasy I think you’ll love this one and it does have excellent writing and it’s quite funny.
Thank you for this arc. I appreciate the opportunity to leave honest feedback voluntarily.

Devica is a teenage demon who is challenged with a shadeling named Nate. On their journey through the underworld they find out more about themselves and each other. This romantic comedy is great for teens and up! I really enjoyed this read

This book was so cute! I loved the different take on h e ll. I found the fmc and mmc to be very lovable. I enjoyed the fade to black romance. I will definitely read the next book. After that cliffy please don't make me wait too long!

1/2 🌶️ (This book is YA)
Thank you @entangled and @netgalley for providing me with an arc copy of this one! 🫶
As expected with a title like “Not Today Satan”, this book was such a FUN adventure! The story really lived up to its name and kept me laughing throughout its entirety with lines like “Weren’t cats the furry demons Father sent to Earth to punish the living?” Not to mention all of the hell jokes and other witty puns. But aside from laughs it had a solid storyline full of emotion, a cute romance, tons of action scenes, and lovable characters. Needless to say, this one really went to hell and back to earn that 5⭐️. See what I did there? 🤣
Devina (the devils daughter and heir) is everything I love in a MC - she’s smart but also a little bit of an undercover baddie. (I’m not sure if I’d call her a black cat but she definitely has some of the trope aspects.) While Nate is our loveable golden retriever MC who doubles as our comedian. Both characters bring so much to the story and were both written beautifully. I loved learning about both of their stories. I also thought the side characters were fun - even fishlips. 🤣🤣 Anyways, with all that said I can’t wait to see what Samantha Joyce comes up with next! ❤️
“It turns out, falling for you wasn’t drowning like I feared. It was flying.”

What a funny, action packed story!
You are taken on a fun adventure for sure!
The spice level was there but not too much.
Overall, a cute coming of age story that I enjoyed reading
Thank you NetGalley, the publisher and author for the opportunity to read this book for my honest review. All opinions expressed are my own.
