BananaNow is a playful story where Monkey cleverly runs a food service for the screen-obsessed jungle animals, enjoying his newfound wealth. At first, everyone is happy—but when Lion makes an unusual order, Monkey realizes that true joy comes not from money, but from enjoying life itself.

Thank you for the ARC.
BananaNow is about jungle animals who are addicted to electronics. They’re eventually forget to eat so Monkey open uber eats called BananaNow. This book hit home and is so relevant to today. People, including myself are glued to our devices. It started off great but it ended abruptly without a clear resolution to the animals being their devices. The illustrations were spot on though.

The illustrations are beautiful, story seems to end a little abruptly. Commentary on screen usage and apps and demand, with little resolution. Lots of potential for a great story but the ending falls a little flat.

BananaNow is about the various animals of the jungle who spend too much time on their electronics that they forget to eat. So Monkey decides to start a food delivery business.
This was a good book and despite it being about the animals of the jungle, it felt very much like a reflection of our society today with SO MANY people constantly being stuck to their lives online that they forget to.. live... to breathe and just enjoy life. I think young kids would enjoy this. I liked the aspect of Monkey helping the others (sure, he was getting paid but still). But the end felt unsatisfactory how everything just stopped but I did enjoy that Monkey and his friends finally went to have fun in the river together again!
Thank you to Netgalley for the arc, this does not affect my thoughts or rating.

The English version of Telebanana, this book shows a monkey who decides to start a food delivery service for all of the jungle animals who can’t seem to get off their screens. The illustrations are beautiful and the story is humorous (if not a little too close for comfort).

Ouch! That was painfully bright.
The first part of the book is hilarious and so close to real life — animals glued to their screens, making selfies, binge-watching shows… and then a brave, hard-working monkey finds success by catching the right idea at the right moment.
But just when I was ready for the grand finale, the story collapsed into “small business owner burnout.” It felt like someone turned off the TV right at the most interesting part.

Really engaging writing and illustrations. I'm very down for the focus on overconsumption of technology, but I think I liked better that the food was bringing everyone together. When we got to the end, it felt abrupt and also noticeable that not all the animals were included in the ending hangout. I'm definitely reading pretty far into it, but that's what stuck with me after reading.

BananaNow is such a cute story with animals depicting what we see in the human world: technological overconsumption. The main monkey character is such a hard worker and a problem solver. Any kid who loves animals will love this hilarious book.

Thank you Netgalley for the ARC and the opportunity to review!
This was a cute story about working too hard and the real pleasures in life the make you emotionally rich. This would be a great story for small children and a great lesson to learn.

Using animals in a children's tale to show how humans can be overly consumed by electronic devices brings chuckles throughout this story. I found myself smiling as I read many pages, and I enjoyed the clever premise that restores the animal kingdom to nature at the end. This is a fun read from start to finish that both parents and children will enjoy.

BananaNowv 🍌 is such a fun and clever read! I loved the bright, playful illustrations. Each page is full of colorful details that made me smile. The little play on words throughout the story added a layer of humor that kids (and adults) can enjoy. It’s a sweet reminder to slow down, put down the screens, and enjoy life with friends. 💕

What a sweet and entertaining story! I love that it provides the right amount of silliness to appeal as a bedtime story while still having a few lessons and messages sprinkled throughout. The gorgeous and colourful illustrations also really complement the story. Hopefully young readers can emulate monkey’s entrepreneurial spirit and also his work-life balance of spending time with his friends.

This picture book is everything! This book has a modern day technology theme to put down your phones and live. With animal characters that are engaging to anyone reading. This story is a fun read with an important underlying message for any age.
The jungle animals are all consumed with modern technology. There are fun tie ins on how different animals use different technology devices. The animals get so consumed they forget to eat! Thankfully for monkey; he starts a food delivery service. His buisness sky rockets and monkey is rich! But will his buisness stay afloat when a jungle animal pushes too far?
This adorable book I highly recommend.

I giggled over 10 times and smiled the entire time while reading this.
I loved the parallels to human behavior, the gorilla talking selfies and the unique food orders. This was so funny and heartwarming but it also has an important lesson.
I loved the ending of this one so much as I was feeling very tired for the monkey! Poor guy.
This was such a treat to read and I absolutely recommend it to parents wanting a good bedtime story before bed or to bring a fun read along for a day in the park.
