I really liked this addition to the series. It has a great romance and a fun mystery plot.

The heroine, Grace, is super easy to root for. She wants to be a doctor in a time where women are not allowed, but she's not going to let that deter her. She's determined, smart and kind. I also liked James. He's forced to train Grace on how to be a doctor and is not happy about it at all. These two have a grumpy x sunshine dynamic. Their romance is a slow burn that feels earned by the end. The chemistry is there and slowly simmers until the timing is right.

The plot was fun and kept me guessing.

Would recommend!

Grace in Glasgow is a cute story of two serious people slowly opening their hearts, sometimes with a little help from a meddling Aunt. Grace’s ambition to be a doctor despite the gender barriers made her an easy heroine to root for. Grace’s journey allowed for a fun plot with a little murder to add to the adventure. The fun band of side characters kept me entertained.. All the adventure made me sometimes wish though for a slower pace to feel more of the spark grow between the leads. Overall, this book had a lot of what I’m looking for in a historical romance.
