A quick, gooey, little body horror novella that I couldn't get enough of. I devoured this in one sitting. You can't help but root for Baby as she tries to make all the right choices and literally decomposes. This was my first Wendy Dalrymple read, but certainly not my last!

Wendy always catches my attention with her amazing writing style and bed rot bady is just another example of her talent. Bed rot baby hits me right in the feels with the struggling artist trying ti make ends meet after a terrible break up. The way the witches maintain there youth and power reminds me a little of hocus pocus. All in all i loved this book.

This book is filled with delightfully disgusting body horror and a protagonist who's flawed but is trying to do the right thing. It doesn't always work out though and that's what makes her so likeable.
There are going to be a couple twists along the way as her transformation continues and it's going to get goopy and oozy, just the way I like it. I highly recommend this one.

After a nightmarish encounter with a feral woman, Baby discovers she’s been infected with…something. A disease? A curse? Something far worse? Whatever it is, she has little time to figure it out before her body and her existence starts slipping away.

This novella is a wild ride of body horror, revenge, and razor-sharp social commentary. The grotesque imagery will make you gag, while the payback moments will have you cheering out loud. Dalrymple weaves in a backstory that deepens the dread and makes the horror feel both inevitable and unstoppable.

Dalrymple balances gruesome horror with pointed cultural critique, making Bed Rot Baby equal parts disgusting, empowering, and thought-provoking.

This might just be my new favorite Wendy Dalrymple book. After a nightmarish experience with a terrifying, feral woman, Baby begins to realize she has contracted a disease? Curse? Something worse? From this person and has to figure out what is going on really fast before she declines to the point that she no longer even exists.

There are scenes of body horror that will make you gag, revenge that will make you cheer, and a fascinating back story to the origin of what is really going on here. Dalrymple’s social commentary is razor sharp here, and while it takes place in the early-aughts, the BS that Baby deals with is timeless and timely. I loved this one!

I loved this book. It’s really interesting, confronting and a strange blend of things, I guess it could be called body horror and it is reminiscent of The Substance and the key messages of that movie. The author sucks you in to what seems like a fairly normal story and then things take a sharp and disgusting turn, only to lead to a complex and morally ambiguous pathway for the protagonist. It’s well written, with strong dialogue and descriptions which really evoke strong images - sometimes, this is a bit gross. Terrific idea and terrific execution.

Every time I read a book from Wendy Dalrymple I say it's my favorite from her. But then she writes a new one and THAT'S my favorite. So it goes even with this female empowered book with a lot of gruesome body horror and a great protagonist..

The narrator is a young woman and she's having a not so good life. She's making a meager living as a sugar baby and foot fetish model and still she finds herself broke and unhappy.

An encounter with an angry old woman one night changes her in the most horrific ways. Her fingernails start falling off, her body is leaking a foul smelling substance and she's losing her hair. When she confronts the old lady she's going to discover that she's been chosen for something horrific and if she wants to survive, she'll have to take the same twisted measures.

Florida, Y2K, Clear tech, sugar baby practice, and bed rotting before it was cool- what more could you need? Baby hasn't been too lucky in love, career, friends, family- not really anything?- so she takes to a new trajectory of life that causes her to literally fall apart. When she meets a spooky woman in an incense filled room (or metaphorically, anyways) that doesn't leave behind the most pleasant vibes, she starts to suspect she is the cause of her ailment and tracks her down to determine the reversal. Short, sweet, and packed with hilarity and an unhinged plot, Bed Rot Baby is for the weirdest of us. Pink horror is glam and feisty, and my girl Dalrymple always delivers. Thanks to the author and Quill & Crow Publishing House for the chance to read the eARC!

Body horror; self-destruction; feminine rage, all wrapped up in a cute pink bow. Set in Y2K, this definetly had me obsessing over the nostalgic feeling. I stayed up to finish this in one sitting, and I had an absolute blast doing so.
The plot delved so much deeper than I originally thought, too! That, and the underlying message of the book is pretty deep too. So, safe to say I really appreciated this book.
