Oh how I love a Wanda Brunstetter story! She had my emotions all over the place. Once I started reading THE ENGLISH SON it was very hard to stop! The twists and turns made it impossible to put down, as I had to know what was going to happen to Joel after living the big lie he has everyone believing! What an awesome story. All of Wanda’s characters feel genuine and relatable and put your emotions on one heck of a roller coaster ride. As you are reading, you will find yourself cheering for all of them, praying they can work out their problems and be happy once again.

Once you start reading THE ENGLISH SON it will be very hard to put down! Wanda sure knows how to put a new twist on Amish fiction. Joel used to be Amish but he left his faith years ago. Joel is very self centered, owns his own business, and makes bad financial decisions over and over again. He is lying to everyone and especially his fiance, Kristi. Joel Byler has left behind his Amish family to start his own construction company among the English. The success of his business has allowed him to lead a comfortable lifestyle until it doesn’t. When Joel loses on a bid for a large project what does this mean for his future? He was planning to use that money to pay the sub contractors he owes. Hang on tight readers!!

THE ENGLISH SON is without a doubt one of the best Amish books and series I’ve read in 2024 so far. I was instantly emotionally invested in all of the characters. Wanda Brunstetter is such a wonderful and heart tugging author and she had me laughing and crying on the very same page. I am now going to read all of her previous books that I have somehow missed and she is now an auto buy author for me! THE ENGLISH SON is the first book in the Amish Millionaire series and I read all six of the books over two days. Each book ends in A cliff hanger so I had to keep reading.
