Sweet Taffy and Murder by Dana Moss is a great series opener. The characters were everything with an ending you’ll adore. Can’t wait to see where the series goes.

I received a copy from Netgalley and somewhere along the way I also bought a copy from Amazon. This review is based on the copy I received from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

I liked the novel beginning to the story explaining how Taffy ends up in Abandon, Oregon. I was a bit worried that her party girl persona would impact the rest of the story strongly. It's not a persona I enjoy having in a main character. Luckily, she's not as vapid as I was thinking she'd be, instead her change to a thoughtful, contributing member of society is a bit unrealistically fast. There are a lot of thigs you have to just accept in this story though almost all the coincidences are explained by the end. (Except why doesn't Taffy have her father's last name and why does Nana seemingly support her son in law after she apparently raised Taffy???)

The story is a light, fluffy (popcorn) cozy type of read, yet it has a complete mystery storyline. Could have used some more world building to make it a bit more solid.

The story kept me interested and left me interested to see what happens next for Taffy.

This was an unusual read. It was well written with a colorful cast of primary and secondary characters that just about anyone could relate to. The story itself was incredible interesting and held me from page o n e one to the end. It's wasn't a surprising ending but a heart warming one
