Very inspirational nd timely since I read this when I wasc in the hospital after having a stroke.. Thus why this review is so short compared to many of my other reviews.

Detailed chronicle of a family's quest to find healing therapies for a daughter (Jennifer) who suffered a traumatic brain injury--and the positive outcomes of those therapies, (albeit, questionable and considered "new age" in some circles). In the eVersion, at least, (perhaps due to electronic formatting issues) it is sometimes difficult to discern who is speaking as in addition to mother and daughter, therapists weigh in and provide feedback without introduction on occasion.

It is heartening to know that the dedicated efforts and seemingly endless travels around the country to find help resulted in a positive outcome for Jennifer. While this family seemed to spare no expense in seeking help, the costly alternative therapies that worked for them would not be available to most families in the United States due to cost and insurance limitations. Additionally, it is not clear if (or for how long) this family pursued more "Western medicine" practices, which have also resulted in positive outcomes--even when original diagnoses were equally dismal.
