Amelia Parsons leaves her shop and is hit by a car. When she comes to her senses, she finds herself in a forest covered with snow. Still woozy from being thrown, she begins walking toward some lights that she sees.
As the avalanche races behind her, a pair of strong arms attached to a very hunky man reach out and he picks her up and gets her out of danger.
He deposits her in a house where Santa and Mrs. Claus call home. Santa's Workshop is filled ...not with elves as are usually described.. The reindeer ..yes, Rudolph, too.... are in the stalls.
The hunky man is Daniel, an ex-FBI agent, who has been hired by Santa to find out who is stealing from the workshop.
A fantasy Christmas novella, this was a fun romp through a well known Christmas story, but with a few..or a lot... changes that the reader doesn't see coming. Throw in a little magic with a little mystery and a lot of love and I can't come up with a better way to spend my time.
Evidently Christmas magic is real .....
WHITE CHRISTMAS is offered on Netgalley and will be available on Amazon on 12/1/16.
I chose to read WHITE CHRISTMAS and all opinions expressed are entirely mine and unbiased.
Many thanks to the author / Light Street Press / Netgalley. Merry Christmas!
A jolly short story about danger, xmas, and love. Wish it was longer but alas short stories love to get me into the story and then end it! At least it ended in a good note :)
The snow is coming down so fast, Amelia Parsons doesn't see the speeding car until it's too late. One moment she’s crossing an ice-rutted street in St. Stephens, Maryland. In the next, she's flying into the air, and the world goes black. She wakes, confused, in what appears to be Santa’s workshop during the holiday rush. If that’s not strange enough, a hunky FBI agent named Daniel is there, demanding to know why she’s involved in a plot to ruin Christmas. Can she convince him she's not the villain and then work with him to find the real saboteur?
Review:
This is a super short fantasy romance, that is perfect for the holiday season.
Because this is so short, I feel like I would rehash the whole story if I gave the whole plot away. I will say it was a fun romance that has a fantasy bent to it with Santa Claus, Mrs. Claus and someone causing Santa a lot of problems. I liked the unique idea on how Santa gets his elves/workers. There is a little action, suspense and romance packed into this novella. It is totally a stand alone title. If you want to read a little magical romance for Christmas I would recommend this.
