Live Life from the Inside Out
Despite living in a hyperconnected world, individuals are more disconnected from each other and themselves than ever before. In her engaging new book, Life, Incorporated: A Practical Guide to Wholehearted Living, Halley Bock will inspire you to slow down, wake up, and pay mindful attention to all facets of life in order to generate self-worth and to live whole, more gratifying lives.

In conversational prose, Bock shares her own experiences and guides you toward purposeful living—what she terms living life from the inside out—with topics ranging from inner life, wellbeing, and a personal mission statement to core values, avocation and vocation, and relationships. Bock’s focus on connection to the self and others makes Life, Incorporated particularly intriguing. Life, Incorporated is a must-read for anyone interested in redefining and recapturing life and provides a revolutionary alternative to the age-old money = happiness mind-set.

Bock expertly braids her personal path to fulfillment with compelling activities, thought-provoking quotations, and life-changing lessons that will captivate, along with a journal component to ensure that you can put this work into practice. Securing mindfulness and balance—from the inside out—is the only way to achieve fulfillment and real happiness. Bock shows you just how to make that happen.

"I read - and wrote all over - my copy of 'Life Incorporated' in two back to back sessions. The reason it was two sessions rather than one was because I had to to stop, gather myself, and reflect on the lessons I'd already learned from the first two chapters alone. Halley Bock hasn't written just another self-help tome for a narcissistic generation - she's written a searingly honest, immediately practical road map for anyone who wants to find, re-discover, re-position, or just polish their north star. Buy it, learn the lessons, work the exercises, and I guarantee you'll put down 'Life, Incorporated’ with a renewed sense of who you are and what you're here to do." – Les McKeown, Best-selling author of Predictable Success: Getting Your Organization on the Growth Track--and Keeping It There

“At last, we have an author who has taken the genre of ‘self help’ and completely transformed it into what it should be: a real, practical, and essential roadmap for life. Halley tells a story that will engage you and then backs it up with approachable, actionable, and most of all, doable steps you can take immediately to take control of your life and make it what you want it to be. Halley’s tested and well-researched guidance combined with an easy-to-read style make this book a must-have for anyone looking to make their lives better.” - Ann Herrmann-Nehdi, CEO and co-author of The Whole Brain Business Book

Featured Reviews

Life, Incorporated: A Practical Guide to Wholehearted Living by Halley Bock is a book about connection to others and ourselves, real connection, not those formed using today’s modern technology.

This book is broken up into parts, like a tree, (literally parts one through four are entitled, the soil, roots, branches, and leaves), to guide us to living more richly and connected to others, the world around us, and ourselves. “Life, Inc.” is a book about living from the inside out instead of the outside in. I liked that we could start with any part of the tree that we felt we needed but no matter what had to go back to the basics even if we started at the top instead of the foundation (this is an agreement the author makes with the reader that hopefully the reader keeps).

Based upon experience working with companies to improve themselves the author takes these and uses them to improve our own incorporations, our own life, hence “Life, Inc.” This book is filled with exercises to help us along on our journey. I really enjoyed the book and how it helped us better ourselves and become more interconnected within ourselves and the world around us.

I acknowledge that I received this book free of charge from NetGalley and the publisher in exchange for my honest and unbiased review of it.
