I will read anything related to beer, especially if it gives me great tips on how to do beer tastings; and this book really does! I really enjoyed the brief history of beer, the books photos, illustrations, layout, and the exciting lists of beers that need to get on my list to taste.

I live in Michigan and we have a lot of great breweries around. My family likes to get together every once in a while to do beer tastings together. Last time we all got together I brought this along and it was fun for us to use this book to get a better idea of what to look for and how to judge the different qualities of the beers. We especially enjoyed using the Tasting Record worksheet that was included in the book.
