About the Author and Illustrator
Author Susan Bernardo and illustrator Courtenay Fletcher are a dynamic creative team, committed to producing beautiful books to inspire and heal children. In 2012, they published their first book together – a picture book about love titled Sun Kisses, Moon Hugs. This led to a wonderful collaboration with actor LeVar Burton (Reading Rainbow, Star Trek, Roots) on The Rhino Who Swallowed a Storm, a picture book to help families coping with trauma (Rhino has been read aloud by Michelle Obama and sent to the International Space Station for Storytime from Space!).
