It's an originally twist of the Cinderella fairy tale, and as a Disney fan, I couldn't let the opportunity pass. Thanks for the copy. It's was delightedly entertaining.

Fairy tale re-tellings are always a bit tricky: they are great or they do the original fairy tale injustice. But Petie McCarty has nailed it. This modern Cinderella story (starring Andi as Cinderella) with her evil stepmother and two evil stepsisters is absolutely original, funny and also has it's own twist.
Yes, the story isn't totally according to the original Cinderella story. But let's face it: there was no gambling and no Las Vegas in the Disney version. But yes, we do have a "prince" Garrett, who is reluctantly coming to Biloxi in order to save his recently died grandfather's last project, the Bayou Princess casino.
And while Andi aka Cinderella isn't cleaning floors, she is working at the merci of her stepsister and stepmom in the casino. Determined to make the best of this, in order to help her (not-very-fairy) godmother stay clear of her gambling addiction.
And while Garrett is lying about his personality to Andi, while working undercover in his own casino, Andi is having a very funny email conversation with the owner of the casino. Not knowing that Garrett is the one-and-only casino owner.
The story reaches it's peak during the grand opening ball of the casino. And yes, at first Andi isn't able to go, because her evil stepsister ruined her ballgown. But at the ball, the story gets a new twist... and even if you know Cinderella by heart, you'll still be surprised! Check it out for yourself. Four out of five stars from me and a special thank you to Netgalley for providing the arc.

Although the story was obvious it did have a nice twist and was certainly an enjoyable read with some great characters.
