After his bitter marriage ends, Paxton seeks respite from his loss. Rediscovering his writing, he never expected to create a piece worthy of reading, nor for two unsuspecting paths to cross in the most unconventional of ways.

Thousands of miles separated them, yet he’d never felt closer to anyone. Finding out that happiness and love was attainable again was one thing. But having Alissa - that was something else all together!

When the two finally meet in person, sparks fly. Their chemistry is beyond explosive, and emotions reach a boiling point. Their brief love affair ignited the fuse, but Paxton is shocked when his young son fans their fire. His sweet four-year-old boy immediately falls for the loving, meek, demurred woman in Alissa, and she starts to change both their lives. I want to thank Emberlust Press for allowing me to read this for an honest opinion. I thought this was the most heart warming love story that I've ever read. My opinion on Julie in the beginning was that she was very selfish and did not want to see Paxton happy in any way. Although there was a ton of sex it was really exciting to read that Paxton and Alissa always stayed ready for him as he for her. This is the first book I've read by this author and I think I will be reading many more.

Once Written, Twice Shy by Carey Decevito is the first book in the Broken Men Chronicles. I really liked this book. Very unusual that I get to read a book from a man’s point of view. I liked that. I also liked that he was not overly macho or alpha he is an average kind of soul.
Paxton has a failed marriage almost behind him. He also has a son he loves. He was chatting online with a woman from his writers’ group. They connect on many levels. So, they meet in person.
I liked he is sweet, kind, and has depth.
Alissa is confident, loving, very giving person. She is just what Paxton needs and his son. She has a ton of love to give them both.

This is a fast-quick read. I found no real conflicts in here, and I just liked the pureness of this one. Great read when you want to fall in love and read a book from the male point of view which you do not see too often.
