Description

It’s Exodus… the “Too Long, Didn’t Read” edition.

The Book of Exodus has the Ten Commandments and the story of the parting of the Red Sea. But did you know it also contains tent decorating instructions? In Okay, So Look, Micah Edwards helped us laugh our way through the “begats” in Genesis. Now he brings the same keen insights and comedic skills to Exodus, in a retelling that will leave you thinking as well as laughing, and also maybe asking “What are an Urim and Thummim?”

This slightly-irreverent recounting of the book of Exodus was _exactly_ what my students needed! They've been bucking Bible studies (it's not cool, you know), but fell in love with the snarkiness of this. I read it aloud to them, and they kept asking for more. We'll be going back and getting the Genesis one...and I hope to see the other Torah books released as well. Admittedly, if you're uber-religious, you probably won't enjoy this. But if you want a re-telling of the Bible stories, with all of the important parts included and at least a mention of everything in between, in a way that will make you laugh out loud...this the the book for you!
