One short story after the next in this exciting heart racing book leaves you wanting more of them. Oh, and you may need a cold shower too. I enjoyed this book a great deal as I am a sucker for military romances and this one delivers.

Three stories of men and women committed to their naval careers yet still yearning for that someone special in their lives. And, when they meet, the sparks sure do fly. Three enjoyable stories, quick witted, real, and very sexy. A great book to read, curled up by the fire with a glass of wine.

What a delightful surprise to find out this book actually contained not one, but three short stories of sexy sailors, insta love and fiery passion.

The romance did move quickly, however it didn’t distract from the overall storyline and the chemistry between each couple. I enjoyed the character portrayals, and the dialogue was often fun and witty.

While they were all good stories, two far outshone the other and left me feeling like the third was written by someone else. Definitely worth the read though.

Three love stories with amazing characters, hot bedroom scenes and happy endings! What more can you ask for? In Weighing Anchor Melissa and David meets in a museum and find that together they can move to a new and better place in their lives. In Dropping Anchor Carissa meets Todd when she is lost on a hike and they learn that they can be each other’s security and stability in life. In Anchor Home Pat and Sam meets again after thirteen years and they learn that together they can built the “home” that they both desire. Naval Maneuvres is a collection of three very well written love stories that was a joy to read. I especially enjoyed the fact that you got to learn a little about Todd in Weighing Anchor and you learned a little about Sam in Dropping Anchor.

Author Dee Knight penned a steamy erotic novel. Overall, the narrative was well-written. It contained three novellas for the price of one. The first two had a connection with the Navy, the third with the Marines. I won't attempt to provide a brief outline for all three novellas in this limited amount of space. Rather I'll write about the first one which is closely reminiscent of the remaining two. Essentially, it's the same scenario, only the names have been changed.

Melissa Crandall M.D. had a chance encounter with Lieutenant Commander, David Stimson, USN at a museum in Washington DC. They both shared an immediate sexual attraction to each other and agreed to have dinner later that evening. It was lust at first sight. Dessert was served in Melissa's room. Eventually that lust turned to love, so they thought. That was fast in what appeared to be a seemingly shallow relationship. Considering their ages and respective positions, it seemed odd that they didn't even know what the other did for a living.

Only weeks later David had asked her to marry him. However things went South from there when Melissa found out that he was in the Navy. Her father was in the Marines and she hated being a military child. As the scenes progressed she learned from her mother of all the good times they had while she was growing up. She came to regret turning down David's offer of marriage. In classic Disney style, she tracked him down in Naples and they got married. The end.

The following two novellas in the book also had pointless scenes which did not take the reader far from the bedroom. However, on that note, if someone is looking for nothing more than exotic, erotic entertainment, then I would definitely recommend this book.

Sometimes you need a book that is short but sweet and these three books were just that. The first one was my favorite of the three, the last seemed to have a less developed plot. However, I found these military inspired romance novellas enjoyable.
