Description

Whether we’ve been the subject of a rumor or the one spreading a rumor about someone else, most of us have been involved with rumors somehow. But how many people really stop to think about the damaging effects?

Marketing Plan

About the Author:

With approximately two million books in print, Julia Cook is a former school counselor and teacher who never dreamed she could evolve into a national award-winning children’s author, parenting expert and inspirational speaker.  She now travels the country and abroad encouraging others to follow in her footsteps.  “There are so many ideas out there that need to be shared!” says Julia who takes top research and creatively translates it into “kid language” that is both entertaining and engaging.  Julia has the innate ability to enter the world view of a child through storybooks, giving both children the “what to say” and the “how to say it.”

Rumor Has It is another winner from Julia Cook. It is an age appropriate story about the consequences of rumors. I believed the illustrations will be well received by students. Parent/educator tips are included. I will use this book with my students when we discuss friendship, communication, and online etiquette. I will recommend to my fellow school counselors. Thanks to Boys Town Press for the ARC of this title via NetGalley.
