This was a really cool book. Taco night at our house consists of opening a store bought taco kit. There are lots of great ideas in here and nothing is really too complicated to be intimidating to the novice cook. Lots of cool ideas for sauces and salsas too. I definitely think the Hawaiian pork tacos and the teriyaki chicken tacos will be well received in my house.

Wow! This book will help you take your Taco Tuesday to a whole new level! Plenty of yummy combinations that will have you eating tacos for breakfast, lunch and dinner. And there's nothing wrong with that! I'll be buying this one for sure!

In "The Taco Tuesday Cookbook," author Laura Fuentes provides more than a wide variety of tacos, though that's not to say that isn't impressive by itself. The offerings range from vegetarian tacos to breakfast tacos to tacos for seafood lovers, to name just a couple examples. Besides these, there's an array of salsa, side, and drink recipes to mix and match as one pleases. And on top of it all, all the recipes are relatively quick, easy, and budget-friendly dishes that one can whip up on any weeknight for a tasty meal. There is something for every reader in a book that can be easily embraced by any taco-loving family.

I am not a fan of taco's normally but gave this book a go and glad I did!

The book has basic recipes starting from how to do your tacos (corn or grain free) and basic sauces and mostly dips as we know in the UK. Like salsa, guacamole. Offers different options to make this basics, which I found very helpful.

Then the real thing- taco toppings, are really good. Anything you like in this book could easily become a salad topping. Full of healthy, light recipes,. including breakfast tacos. I feel like I need to try some now... Lovely pictures, lovely recipes. If you're a lover of Mexican dishes, this book is just right for you.

One thing I need to say though, what's been named as the Greek sauce has a name: Tzatziki / Cacik

Tacos in our house consist of the usual store bought kit. These receipes opened my eyes to the varients of Taco! There are 52 recipes so you can have a taco a week, which makes me very happy! We will be trying one of these recipes on Sunday! Yummy!!

Mexican, possibly my favourite food, it’s only rival, Italian. When I was given the the opportunity to read and review this book, I jumped at the chance, it was a no brainier. Once I started reading the book and going through the recipes, I was in my element. Anyone who knows me knows I’m a vegetarian and I’ve got to say the vegetarian recipes are to die for, the few I’ve tried were truly mouth watering, I even adjusted some of the meat dishes to include quorn, which worked extremely well. My family loved them all, including the couple I made with actual meat. Fish dishes are a no no for me, eating and cooking, so I didn’t indulge, although they looked tasty enough. Simple home cooked food at its best. Easy to follow recipes with straight forward instructions. Tuesdays will never be the same again. I think this may have to be a hard copy purchase for me. I received an advanced copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley. This is my honest review.

The Taco Tuesday Cookbook: 52 Tasty Taco Recipes to Make Every Week the Best Ever by Laura Fuentes offers up both traditional and non-traditional recipes. Most of the recipes are Hispanic based recipes while a couple recipes veer from the Hispanic theme.

The author starts her cookbook with basic recipes such as Arriba Seasoning or Pineapple Salsa. You will also find recipes for tortillas and a pancake recipe. The pancake recipe is used to make Breakfast of Champion Tacos. Other taco recipes you'll find include Huevos Verdes Tacos or Curried Cauliflower Tacos with Pineapple Salsa. You will find the slow cooker being used to prepare Slow Cooker Roast Beef Tacos. As to the unique: The author has included recipes such as Philly Cheesesteak Tacos or Slow Cooker Thai Chicken Lettuce Cups.

At the end of her book you will find a nice selection of beverage recipe such as The Perfect Margarita or Watermelon Agua Fresca.

I enjoyed viewing the color photos showing how the finished recipes looked as it helped me figure how the finished recipe was supposed to look.

We love Tacos in our house! This book is perfect so many taco recipes for breakfast lunch and dinner. I never knew how to make tacos properly before but I most definitely will be buying a copy of this book to use again and again!

Bright, colorful, cheerful and full of a wide variety of taco types - enough for one entire year of Taco Tuesdays!

Ingredients range from traditional taco fillings like beans, salsa, avocado, chicken and beef, to less common ones like beets, chickpea, squash, cauliflower. Flavour profiles include Mexican, Tex-Mex, Japanese, American, Korean, Thai, etc., enough so that you never tire of the tacos.

WOW!!! I LOVE TACOS - & Mexican is by far my favorite food - When I saw this cookbook I just KNEW I had to get my hands on it.

First of all - I LOVE LOVE LOVE that there are pictures for EVERY SINGLE recipe! I cannot stand when a cookbooks does not provide pictures of the food for each recipe - I won't even buy a cookbook if it does not have an abundance of pictures. I NEED to see what it looks like before I decide if I want to spend the time to cook it.

Secondly, I was expecting some taco recipes and not much more - what I got was EVEN BETTER! I love that cookbook starts with a section of ESSENTIALS - guans, salsas etc, but was even more surprised to see sauces, seasonings, dressings AND tortilla recipes!!!!! I even liked that in the back of the book there were some drink recipes. What really would have been even more outstanding is if she would have included some desserts - maybe fried ice cream, churros etc - but hey I am DEFINITELY happy with what I got!!!

Now for the tacos - I think it is great that she included a breakfast taco section. I am not a huge breakfast person, but if I do it breakfast, it consists of a breakfast burrito or breakfast enchiladas - so seeing some additional breakfast options in taco form is amazing. The cookbook is then sectioned by type of filling, vegetarian, beef, pork, chicken and seafood - this is great because there is something in here for EVERYONE!!!

This is a great taco cookbook, with a recipe for just about every taco you can imagine...breakfast tacos, chicken tacos, vegetarian tacos, fish tacos, shrimp tacos, pulled pork tacos, taco with lettuce for wraps, beef tacos, steak tacos, slow cooker tacos, you name it! There are also recipes for guacamole, taco seasonings, flour tortillas, salsa, Pico de Gallo and drinks like margaritas, sangrias and lemonade! There are enough recipes in this book to ensure you have a different taco for every Tuesday of the year! Yum.

Nuff said.

No? Alright then. Let me expand. These are not your conventional Taco Tuesday recipes, despite what you might think from the title of Fuentes new book. The recipes are versatile, elevated and above all TASTY.

While Fuentes provides a menu for 52 fabulous weeks of Taco Tuesday, the unique flavor profiles and combinations of the recipes will make you find excuses to eat tacos everyday of the week and not just on Tuesday's anymore.

From Chorizo and Butternut Squash Tacos to Poblano Pepper and Mushroom tacos, Fuentes has something to satisfy every palette.

This would have been 5 stars if she would have included a section for dessert.

This is the perfect recipe book for those who love Tacos and fast food in general. There is a large amount of variety in the recipes from breakfast to dinner tacos, savoury to sweet. The recipe book also has an introductory section about the different types of tacos and how to make your own tacos and various sauces from scratch. It also is full of many mouthwatering and enticing pictures, they really enhance the recipes and allow you to see exactly what you're aiming for. A top notch recipe book, would recommend.

Blogger and cookbook author Laura Fuentes' newest book is The Taco Tuesday Cookbook and it is perfect for families looking to spicy up their Tuesday nights with fresh taco ideas. She provides a years worth of Tacos along with fast easy to follow recipes and a few tips to change things up. The basics of taco 101 are covered including salsas, guacamole, classic and traditional ingredients, along with shell/holder variations. She has a nice variety of meats, vegetarian and even breakfast options. The photographs are bright and the food looks fresh and tasty. A Taco Tuesday is not compete with out a festive beverage to go along with the meal and she has included several options.

I love Tacos and being from the southwest they are a staple in our household so I was very excited to find some new recipes to try. I liked the flavor variations from Thai to Southern to Korean. A couple of my favorite ideas was a Philly cheesesteak Taco or butternut squash and chickpeas. She has a recipe for perfect pancakes, which at first I found odd in a taco book, until I reached the breakfast tacos and she uses the pancakes as a shell...cant wait to try that! The recipes and flavors over all stay very traditional but there are some fun ideas to incorporate.

Awesome Taco Cookbook! Loved the how to's and the extra recipes that were included to make a well rounded meal that fits well together.
The recipes were short and easy to follow with nice close up pictures to give reference to how it looks completed.
There were recipes aplenty to match any craving you might have, from Korean to Greek to Vegan to Street tacos.
Loved the mix and match that you could do with any of the recipes.
Pictures were great, always good to have in a cookbook.
Can't wait to try most of these!

If you thought there were no new ways to enjoy a taco...this book will prove you wrong. Break out of your meal rotation rut with a new recipe and surprise your family. We even tried a veggie only taco and I received no complaints! You'll find enough ideas in this cookbook to have Taco Tuesday and Thursday!

Taco Tuesday is chock full of recipes that will inspire you to shake up your taco making routine. Did I ever think to make my own tortillas? No, I did not! The recipes for corn and flour tortillas were so simple and after making both, I have to say they were so easy and so much healthier and tastier than store-bought.
The book has three main sections: The Essentials, Tacos, Tacos, Tacos!, and Refreshing Beverages. Then there are numerous subsections that cover all different types of tacos, from chicken to beef, to breakfast, to vegetarian and more. Sauces, salsas, and seasonings are also covered and what's not to love about ice cold refreshing beverages too.
I've tried four recipes so far: Huevos Rancheros Tacos, Blackened Zucchini Tacos, Jamaican Jerk Chicken Tacos, and Carnitas Lettuce Cups. I would make every one of these again after working my way through more delicious sounding recipes. If you love tacos and variety, you will love this book. Every recipe has a picture and the ingredients are all available at my local grocery. The cost to prepare these was right too since sometimes I want to cook like a Top Chef( and spend the $ to do it) and sometimes I just want good party food that won't necessitate getting a second job to afford the food.
The only thing missing for me is nutritional information. I can look up any of the ingredients that I am unsure of, but for someone who cooks for a partner on a restricted diet, I appreciate cookbooks that include it.

Taco Tuesday is always a favorite in our house, but it can be...boring...to do the same old thing every week. This cookbook was awesome because it gave me a lot of great variations of the standard taco. Also, the recipes for how to make the various shells was great, because having recently had to make dietary changes, buying taco shells has become hard. Even if you're not looking for the taco recipes, the other essentials to a taco night, like salsa and guacamole recipes, are included in this book, and they all look incredible.
There's even a 52 week Taco Tuesday planner at the back of the book, so you make sure you have a new taco each week!

There are so many pictures!!!! If I open a recipe book and there is more black and white text than colored photos I will put it down. This book had tons of pictures! Plus, taco?! Yes please. We love Latin food in our house so this book is perfect to help us mix it up. The recipes are easy to follow and don’t require special ingredients that you can’t find at your supermarket. I love how there are kids in the pictures. The recipes can be made for a family which is a huge deal! There are recipes for everyone. Some a little more challenging some super basic. Some spicy and some mild. Excellent book. I highly recommend it.

What a great idea! A taco recipe for every week of the year.
Before reading this book I just tended to think of the taco as a one trick pony - the All-American beef taco. I also tended to only have it when out, but this book has plentiful varied and delicious taco recipes for making at home.
There are recipes for a selection of tortillas to make at home or shop-bought ones can be used in the recipes. The recipes for taco fillers are all pretty easy too, with minimal tricky culinary skills needed.
Topping and tailing the main recipes are a selection of sauces, guacamoles and salsas as well as refreshing complementary drinks.
I am really looking forward to making chilli lime salmon tacos, steak tacos with cilantro chimichurri and the Korean beef tacos, for starters.
Unsurprisingly the book seems to be aimed at the US market, but these days translating ingredients across to the UK market is much easier. There should be little problem in sourcing the named ingredients or similar alternatives.
A really nicely presented book with some delicious easy-to-make food.

Who doesn't love Taco's. This is a cookbook all about cooking tacos and some drinks to go with it. From the fixings, such as homemade Guacamole, salsa, Pico, and other sauces to homemade tortillas. Taco recipes from Huevos Verdes tacos, Migas breakfast tacos, blackened zucchini tacos, lettuce cup tacos, veggie tacos, chicken tacos, beef tacos, Jamaican jerk chicken tacos, teriyaki chicken tacos, barbecue chicken tacos, and so many more. Beautifully pictures to go along with all the recipes and so many different recipes of tacos that are sure to please any family.

Everybody loves tacos, right? I know we do in this house. We love them so much my husband knows the ingredients to pick up at the grocery store without my list. As a vegetarian, there are a few different ways that I make them usually involving different beans and lentils, and sometimes I add barley or quinoa. We absolutely love them, but yeah, we could use some new ideas!

The Taco Tuesday Cookbook offers a variety of options for tacos, including paleo, gluten-free, and vegetarian. It also starts with the basics like making your own tortillas, or choosing between corn and flour varieties. The tortilla recipes look super simple, and I hope to try them soon!

There are three large sections in the book: The Essentials, all about tacos (“Tacos, Tacos, Tacos!”), and Refreshing Beverages (how fun that this was included!).

The recipes I have picked out to make asap are:
Blackened Zucchini Tacos
Chickpea and Butternut Squash Tacos
Black beans and Queso Breakfast Tacos

I also plan to modify some of the other recipes to make them vegetarian. For example, there is a Greek Taco with cucumber salsa that I can’t wait to try (minus the steak).

The Taco Tuesday Cookbook is super creative and filled with beautiful pictures that made me hungry. If you want to expand your Taco Tuesday, check this one out!

The Taco Tuesday Cookbook is everything I want in a cookbook!

Laura Fuentes keeps the directions as simple as possible and each recipe has gorgeous photos of what the taco should look like. It includes taco recipes but also drinks and sides like salsa so you can complete a whole meal! Even better, she includes a chart at the end of the book using all the recipes so you can plan out Taco Tuesday for a year. I also like that she gave you a tortilla recipe but wasn't judgemental if you used ready made ones!

This is a cookbook for my household! I can't wait to get started!

Fantastic! There are so many options when it comes to making Tacos! We love tacos and we yes we enjoy Taco Tuesdays at our house. Now we have more options when it comes to making tacos. This is a great cookbook with more than just taco recipes, but recipes for elements to put inside them too -- we can create everything for many of these recipes.

All of the recipes are easy to follow and most have only a few household ingredients. The ideas for tacos are very inventive and flavourful as well. 52 taco recipes in the categories of breakfast, chicken, beef and fish means that you will find something for everyone. My husband and I have tried the Philly Cheese Steak and Sweet and Spicy Chicken tacos so far and were pleasantly surprised how much flavour there was considering how little time and effort I put into them. Perfect for a quick weekday meal! We will definitely be using this book on a regular basis! Available August 28, 2018

If you love tacos (and who doesn’t), the Taco Tuesday Cookbook is for you!

Filled with 52 taco plus guacamole, salsas, seasonings, beverages and tortilla recipes, this cookbook has something for every taste. Starting with eight easy breakfast tacos, the author includes tacos made with chicken, pork, beef, fish and shrimp. There are also eight vegetarian choices like Blackened Zucchini Tacos and Curried Cauliflower Tacos with Pineapple Salsa. If the thought of eating Mexican tacos every Tuesday for a year doesn’t appeal, don’t worry. There are Jamaican Jerk Chicken Tacos, Asian Thai Rib Tacos and Philly Cheesesteak Tacos. Skillet Beef Tacos and Food Truck Tacos are available for the traditionalist too. Overall, there is plenty of variety here. Most of the recipes take 20-30 minutes to cook though there are recipes using a slow cooker too.

I picked up the Taco Tuesday Cookbook because I’m gluten-free and corn tortillas are much tastier than most of the gluten-free breads. Even though some of the recipes call for flour tortillas, the author has included a gluten-free “flour” tortilla recipe or store-bought corn tortillas could easily be substituted. All the recipes include pictures that look delicious! The only flaw is no nutritional information is included. Still, this book is recommended for home cooks looking for fast and easy weeknight meals. 4 stars!

To me a Taco is only the crunchy crispy type, so I was quite surprised to see that all the pictures were for tortillas stacked with a variety of ingredients - how we Brits have been misinformed over what a Taco is especially as its only recently that soft 'stand n stuff' types have been introduced to us.

The title of Taco Tuesday Cookbook is totally worthy as this cookbook provides the reader with fifty-two recipes to use throughout the year, be it chicken, vegetable, fish, beef or pork, though unusually the first recipes it provides in the book as not for tacos, those come a little later on. No the first recipes provided are the guacamoles, salsas and dressings.

The book is divided into three main sections, starting with The Essentials, The Tacos and Refreshments. The Essentials provides recipes to make seven Guacamoles & Salsas, five Sauces, five different Tortillas which includes a recipe for pancakes and two Seasoning mixtures to make.

The Taco's section of the book, starts with Breakfast Tacos of which there are eight recipes, Vegetarian provides eight recipes, there are ten recipes in both the chicken and beef taco's section, seven pork and nine fish (or taco del mar) ones. Some of the recipes don't use the traditional taco, a lettuce cup is used instead. Finally the book finishes with seven different refreshments, including how to make the perfect margarita and a Spanish sangria.

Each recipe is accompanied by full colour photography, though a few for the Tacos/pancakes are not provided. The ingredients and instructions are laid out well and easy to follow, with suggestion of the correct Taco to use and a note of which page to find the recipe on or if not you are making your own, it does suggest store-bought ones. Some of the ingredients are in American terms and each recipe has measurements in both metric and imperial terms but no Gas Mark information is provided for oven temperatures. The recipe servings are not all the same, some provide a serving of four others six. Finally, at the rear of the book, there is also a suggested weekly plan so you can have Taco Tuesday every week of the year.

The author does mention a number of times in her introduction that this is not the first cookbook she has written and that one of her seasoning mixes has already been in another cookbook. The changes from one main ingredient to another (say vegetarian to chicken) is only marked by a small wording change in the top right or left hand corner of the page; would have preferred something bolder than that to denote the change, even if the coloured line up there had moved along.

Love almost everything about this book. The color scheme screams tacos and is light and airy. I enjoyed the photos but there were a few that definitely fell short such as Chapter 2 - Black Beans and Queso Breakfast Tavos. The picture is unappealing and makes me not want to try this recipe. The photo for the Heurvo Ranchos screams “I want to try this recipe!”. I really enjoy the 52 days of tacos in the back! Some of the pages were less than desireable with the amount of “white” space.

If you're a taco lover like me, Taco Tuesday will be an essential part of your kitchen library. Packed with 52 different taco recipes (enough for an entire year's worth of original meals!!!), clear and concise directions, and beautifully detailed photos, this book delivers everything the home chef needs to make fun and filling breakfast, vegetarian, chicken, beef, pork and seafood tacos, as well as seasonings, salsas, sauces and tortillas. This will definitely be a go to cookbook on my shelf! 5 stars!

I love cookbooks that are a feast for the eyes. Every recipe is accompanied by a gorgeous photograph of the food. Expect to drool and eat tacos daily for a month at least. There are a handful of vegetarian recipes but a great variety of tacos for breakfast, lunch and dinner. A chapter on beverages is als0 included at the end for a well rounded cookbook.

If you want to make your Tuesday awesome, this is the cookbook for you! The Taco Tuesday Cookbook contains 52 taco recipes. Some awesome, creative ones here! I can't wait to try the Butternut Squash tacos.

Love this cookbook. Why? Extremely practical and versatile. You could eat tacos for years and never eat the same one twice. I also like how well written the recipes are as they are extremely easy to follow and simple to prepare for anyone. This is written for the home cook and is a guide. You don;t have to follow each recipe exactly but can easily mix and match ingredients and sauces. If you want a starter guide to "real" Mexican cuisine then this is a great cookbook to have. From here you can try other various authentic recipes such as mole's, soups, and various other meals. Please read and get this cookbook. It is an essential book for your library.

My family loves tacos but we are the rut of ground beef tacos one time and shredded chicken the next. This book will hopefully get us out of the same routine with different variations to try.

The Taco Tuesday Cookbook is a good resource for the busy home chef. Tacos are almost universally loved, and this cookbook shows why. The combinations for taco fillings are nearly infinite, but it's easy to get into a rut. The Taco Tuesday cookbook would be a great one to have on hand for weeknight meals. The photographs are beautiful, the recipes are uncomplicated but still sound delicious, and the instructions seem easy to follow. A solid choice for any cookbook or taco lover.

I relocated from San Antonio back to New England within the past five years, and I still miss the San Antonio food scene. Especially since down there a “taco” isn’t the seasoned-ground-meat-and-crisp-corn-shell creation found at Taco Bell; a San Antonio taco is something more interesting, even if it is from Taco Cabana. Needless to say, I was delighted when NetGalley approved me for what I had hoped would be a guide to recreating some of the fabulous San Antonio tacos in my own New England kitchen.

The Introduction of the book offers a helpful primer on the “Taco Basics,” which includes instructions on how to adapt the taco recipes into taco bowls (basically serving the taco recipe on a bed of rice) and taco salads (serving the taco recipe over a bed of greens).

After the Introduction, the book is divided into three sections: Essentials, Tacos, Refreshing Beverages. The Essentials section features approximately 20 pages or so of a wide variety of guacamoles, salsas, sauces, seasonings, and even three different types of homemade tortillas. The Tacos section runs about one hundred pages of fifty-two different taco recipes, which are arranged by the type of filling. These recipes range from breakfast tacos to seafood tacos. And the Refreshing Beverages section has seven recipes for nonalcoholic and alcoholic quaffs to accompany the tacos.

Each recipe is boldly titled, followed by the number of servings in the recipe and a short headnote. Sometimes the headnotes a little heavy handed in their cross promotion of the author’s websites and previous cookbooks. The ingredients are listed in order of use, in both American and metric measurements. The recipe steps are written in paragraph form, ending with a paragraph about how to store the recipe and how long the recipe will last. Since the majority of the recipes are very simple - the tortilla recipes seem to be the most complex - the recipe steps are clear and easy to follow.

It is pretty obvious that this cookbook is geared toward families with children because some of the recipes seem to be very simplified. For example, the Steak and Egg Tacos, a breakfast taco, relies on finely chopped deli roast beef and frozen fajita vegetable mix. Both the Buffalo Chicken Tacos, the Jamaican Jerk Chicken Tacos and Barbecue Chicken Tostadas rely on store bought buffalo sauce, jerk seasonings, and barbecue sauce. Rather than customize the spice mixes to the recipes, the author provides a recipe for Arriba! seasoning in the Essentials section of the cookbook and uses that in many of the taco recipes.

The full color photography is excellent. Each recipe is accompanied by a well-styled full color photograph of the finished recipe. The more complex tortilla recipes are accompanied by a step-by-step photomontage of how to use a tortilla press to create perfectly shaped tortillas.

I may consider buying this cookbook for friends with busy schedules (but no kids) who really enjoy taco nights at their house. It was an interesting variety of recipes, all of which are fairly easy to execute.

I have yet to prepare anything from the recipes in this book. When I do, I will update my review.

The Taco Tuesday Cookbook by Laura Fuentes is a really fun cookbook to add to your library. I love making tacos and quesadillas but I'll admit I have exactly 1 way to make each of those, so my taco tuesday meals have been in a bit of a rut. After reading this book though, I am totally inspired to try to mix up my options.  The Taco Tuesday Cookbook provides 52 recipes so there are enough taco recipes to have a new one every week for a year. The recipes include options with chicken, beef, pork, and Del Mar (seafood options), and vegetarian options, and breakfast isn't skipped in this book there are even options to start your day off right!

The taco recipes are wonderful, and we will get back to those in a moment, but I must admit that I was really getting excited about The Essentials section which includes salsas, guacamole, seasonings, additional sauces and even how to make a variety of your own tortillas. I tried out the Pineapple Salsa recipe the day that I received this e-book and that suddenly became my supper because it was so incredibly good. Made up of pineapple, tomatoes, red onion, jalapeno, garlic and cilantro it was a quick and easy recipe to make, and a new taste to enjoy. The recipe states that it can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 5 days, but I'm telling you now, it will be completely eaten long before that. 

Discovering that Corn Tortillas use only 3 ingredients, and one ingredient is water...I had to try it. The dough is easy to make. I choose to make the tortillas with a rolling pin - and I am a bit rolling pin challenged, so my tortillas were a bit on the irregular shape side, (note - the photos in this book are awesome, so look at the pictures as you build your own) but since I was the only one eating them, I decided that they had character and tasted great, and I'll work on perfecting them in the upcoming weeks. And perhaps by the holidays, I'll hint to Santa that a tortilla press would be really nice. 

Now back to the taco recipes. Since I have continued to make the Pineapple Salsa, I had to try a breakfast recipe first, Breakfast Sausage and Pineapple Salsa Taco, Yum! I can also highly recommend the Jamaican Jerk Chicken Tacos, Greek Steak Tacos with Cucumber Salsa, and over a weekend that was hot and humid and no desire to use the stove, I tried out Slow Cooker Chicken Salsa Verde Tacos and loved them! Every recipe has a full color photo, so you can see at a glance how each are built and presented. The recipes are easy to follow and use ingredients that are easy to get, or things you already have in your pantry.

I will be using this book for a long time to come, and taco tuesday will never be boring again. Laura Fuentes has made a great cookbook, and I checked out her website http://www.momables.com/ which is filled with great recipes and ideas that you will want to check out for yourself. I would highly recommend this book, and if you have a friend or family member that loves to make taco tuesday meals this would be a great gift idea for them.

Beautiful photographs dot the pages of this cookbook, with recipes from sections entitled: The Essentials, Tacos, Tacos, Tacos, and Más! Refreshing Beverages. Readers are treated to great instruction on the building blocks of Mexican cuisine, with recipes for basics such as Guacamole, Pico de Gallo, Salsa Verde, Corn Tortillas, and Flour Tortillas. Exciting new offerings are also included in this cookbook, with modern flavor profiles in recipes for Cilantro Chimichurri and Pineapple Salsa.

The Taco section of the book is portioned out to organize recipes with many different protein elements. The first set of recipes include offerings for breakfast, like Black Beans and Queso Breakfast Tacos, loaded with the protein that is key for starting the day with energy. The classic Huevos Rancheros is made into a taco, filled with the flavors that may be familiar, but are presented in a different manner. Meatless recipes include Chickpea and Butternut Squash tacos, so delicious that meat eaters will not miss the beef. My personal favorite from the Vegetarian taco section is Southwestern Tacos, packed with colorful vegetables, salty Cotija cheese, and a finishing squeeze of lime. The most interesting dish in the Chicken Taco section is Buffalo Chicken Tacos with Homemade Ranch, which gives the flavor of a messy wing in a neat package. Korean Beef Tacos include the crisp snap of cabbage and is paired with flavorful beef. Barbecue Pork Tacos with Honey-Mustard Slaw is deceptively simple to make, with complex flavors that will have guests asking for seconds. A modern taco cookbook would not be complete without offerings from the sea, as fish and shrimp tacos have become exceedingly popular. Rounding out The Taco Tuesday Cookbook are beverage recipes for adults and for children, giving instructions for making alcoholic beverages that are associated with Mexican cuisine.

Everyone loves tacos, so Laura Fuentes’ cookbook, The Taco Tuesday Cookbook: 52 Tasty Taco Recipes to Make Every Week the Best Ever is a dream come true for busy cooks who want to put good things on the table quickly. This excellent cookbook seems to have everything. It has sauces for dozens of international-food type tacos, as well as traditional sauces for tacos with a Mexican flair. It also covers homemade tortillas, fillings of every kind, and ideas for serving.

The breakfast taco chapter is amazing; it has tacos such as Black Bean and Queso Breakfast Tacos, Breakfast of Champion Tacos (eggs, sausage, & Maple Syrup wrapped up in pancakes instead of tortillas), and Steak and Egg Tacos (fabulous!), to name a few. Most of these breakfast tacos are in my queue for trying as soon as possible. There is a chapter with vegetarian tacos that will appeal to both vegetarians and non-vegetarians alike (Blackened Zucchini Tacos – Yum!), and an entire chapter on innovative and delicious chicken tacos such as Jamaican Jerk Chicken Tacos, Buffalo Chicken Tacos, and Chicken Enchilada Tacos. The Beef chapter includes traditional ground beef tacos, as well as Carne Asada Tacos ,Greek Steak Tacos with Cucumber Salsa, and Korean Beef Tacos to name a few. There is also a chapter on Pork Tacos, and another covering del mar (seafood) tacos. Fuentes even includes a chapter with refreshing beverages to go nicely with the dozens of tacos in the book. Fuentes has borrowed flavors from everywhere in the world and crafted tacos that are scrumptious.

Photographs are essential for a good cookbook, and this one has excellent photos of every recipe. It makes it very difficult to decide what to make next. The recipes are written in such a way that anyone – beginners to advanced cooks – can easily follow them. And the ingredients are mostly those that are easy to find in grocery stores across the country.

Since tacos are appealing to everyone, this is a cookbook that everyone should include in their personal collection. Fuentes offers something for everyone here – from the pickiest to those who love everything. Quite honestly, there isn’t a taco recipe in this cookbook that isn’t appealing. Fuentes has outdone herself with her innovative ideas, and those lucky enough to own this book will be happily making tacos for years to come. Highly recommended.

Laura Fuentes brings us a concise, detailed cook book with eye grabbing photos that will make our Taco Tuesday nights exciting again. Many of the combination of ingredients she has gathered together didn't occur to this busy wife and mother but now that they have I'm going to love our TV nights again.

Who knew there could be so many fillings for Tacos! I am a Taco newbie after trying some amazing ones recently so I was really keen to look at this book.

It's beautifully laid out with bright appetising photographs and clear easy to follow recipes. Laura is so upbeat throughout and makes it all seem so effortless including right down to making the actual corn tacos.

I love the salsas and sauces recipes and how there were plenty of veggie recipes alongside some mouth watering meaty world food recipes. All the ingredients are easy to source and I have all of the spices in my cupboard at home. I will definitely be starting a Taco Tuesday!

There are plenty of options for meat and veggie lovers.

I love tacos. It is one of my favorite foods. This books has 52 recipes for tacos, it also has recipes for salsa'. guacs, dressings, tortillas, tostadas and more. These books also has a bunch of mouthwatering pictures. There is more to a taco then ground beef, seasoning, lettuce, tomato, cheese, and sour cream.

There are tacos for all times of the days. Breakfast lunch and dinner. These look and sound amazing. There are even some vegan and vegetarian taco recipes.

Chock-full of taco recipes and taco accompaniments/seasonings, this cookbook is a taco-lover’s dream! The “Food Truck Tacos” and the “Slow Cooker Beef Roast Tacos” were terrific. I do not like cilantro, salsa or avocado and was happy to see recipes that did not include these 3 Mexican staples. I now feel more confident to experiment with what ingredients to put in my taco shells/tortillas and merge flavors I would never have thought of before.

I will not have that problem moving forward, my kids and husband already have a list of which recipes they want to try next. The recipes are easy to follow, don't contain expensive "strange" ingredients and everything we have tried tastes so good.

The clue is in the name with this cookbook. It's absolutely packed full of taco recipes - one for every week of the year, in fact. So if you want to make Taco Tuesday a weekly event in your household, you're fully equipped to do it using this book.

The fillings are varied so there is a perfect choice for everyone, whether they like steak, fish or vegetables. There are also plenty of ideas for sauces, seasonings and salsas to accompany the fillings, so you can mix and match to suit your tastes.

The book also teaches you how to make your own tortillas, which is great and something I can't wait to try. There are also recipes for delicious and refreshing drinks to accompany your meal, so you really don't need anything else to enjoy your Taco Tuesday!

The author has certainly done her research and uses inspiration from tradition, a variety of different countries and her own experience to create a multitude of tasty and healthy taco ideas. She is famously a mother and uses her knowledge of how to cook healthily and quickly to help other mothers achieve this for their families - this book is no exception and I think it's a great addition to her other works.

52 weeks of tacos? How come I wasn’t invited? Well, with Ms. Fuentes cookbook, everyone is invited to experiement and make Tuesdays the best of taco nights ever! This book is pretty amazing. In addition to 52 recipes for unique and tasty dishes, Ms. Fuentes also includes recipes for everything related to tacos: salsas, sauces, tortillas, and drinks to enjoy with the 52 tacos. I was going to include a few of my favorite tacos but would basically have a list of about 46 tacos here. I will tell you that the recipes are really easy to follow with wonderfully detailed instructions, vary in the number of ingredients from 4 or 5 to 15 or so, and cover breakfast, vegetarian, meat, and seafood tacos. Unless you plain ol’ do not like the concept of a taco at all, you will find several recipes to struggle with choosing between to make first. The only thing missing from the book is a dessert taco. But seriously, after eating the tacos, you might not have room for it!

I’m a dyed in the wool Texan, and that comes with a deep, bred love and appreciation for Tacos of all varieties and for all situations. If you’re like me, then this book is absolutely for you! It will have you drooling and planning new taco recipes into your week within the first five minutes of flipping through it.

The pages are laid out very clearly and cleanly. The photos will leave you wanting more — both to see and too suddenly be able to reach in and eat them, yourself. But, have no fear! All of these recipes are ready in 30 minutes or less.

There are normal ones, breakfast ones, and even wonderful diet-aware ones for vegetarians, gluten-free people, and paleo eaters. You will find something in here to meet all the needs of friends and family, no matter how finicky, and not just that — they’ll all be amazing, and you’ll want to be trying all of those types, too.

I’m so excited to try all of these first: Black Bean Breakfast, Butternut Squash, Lettuce Cups, Curried Cauliflower, Blackened Zucchini, Greek Steak, and aaaaallll the guacamole recipes (I’m a mad, hard core guac lover! <3),

So many other cookbooks are about healthy eating or meal prepping, so this one really stands out among the crowd. Let’s just taco about how full of puns this book is. This book starts off with “The Essentials” which focuses on salsas, guac, tortillas and more. Then dives into all the different kind of tacos from fish tacos to veggie tacos and everything in between. You want recipes for breakfast tacos? This book has your back. Did I mention this book includes delicious drink recipes?!
I love how all the recipes are easy to follow and don’t require a million fancy ingredients that you don’t know how to pronounce. If you’re looking for a great taco recipe book (I mean, who isn’t?!) with great recipes, photos and tips - this is the book for you!

Who doesn't love a good taco?  I'm sure there are some out there, and that's cool because it means more tacos for me, right?  But if you are like me and are a taco lover, then this cookbook is for you.

I'll admit, I was kind of curious how someone could write an entire cookbook on tacos without overlapping or becoming repetitive.  The Taco Tuesday Cookbook did not disappoint!

We start out with the essentials - recipes for seasonings, guacamole, salsa, and other tasty things to top your tacos with.  In addition to that, you get a primer on making your own tortillas from scratch, something I've always wanted to try.

The meat of this cookbook, so to speak, are the taco recipes themselves.  I was amazed at the variety of taco recipes I found.  There's everything from your usual ground beef taco to Korean Beef to breakfast tacos.  The Huevos Rancheros tacos sound especially appealing to me and would make a great Sunday brunch food.  Also, for the vegetarian in your life, there's an entire section with meatless recipes.  Take it from someone who knows, it can be hard to find a substantial, meatless taco that has more than beans and quacamole in it.  Whatever your preferences, there is sure to be something in this cookbook to tickle your fancy.

To wind things down, the reader is treated to a handful of easy drink recipes to compliment your tacos.  I've been eyeing that watermelon agua fresca from the moment I picked up this book.  There's even a handy, weekly meal plan for the year to get you through all fifty-two taco recipes to liven up your Taco Tuesdays.  

The Taco Tuesday Cookbook is an excellent source for your taco recipes.  Chock full of variety and delicious sounding recipes, there's something for every occasion.  Each recipe is written clearly and don't generally contain difficult directions or hard-to-find products.  There is nothing I like better in a recipe than simple, tasty, and easy to prepare food.

The Taco Tuesday Cookbook is perfect for any taco connoisseur looking to up their taco game. With recipes ranging from classic to fusion flavors like Asian Thai Rib tacos or Greek Steak tacos with cucumber salsa, there's something for every palate. Including vegetarian options and homemade shell recipes is a big bonus.

What I loved the most about this book was the author - especially the story in the beginning, it really made me appreciate the author and feel like we were friends.

As for the recipes... I expected a cookbook about only tacos to be a little bit repetitive, but it did feel like each chapter (breakfast taco, chicken taco etc), apart from the vegetarian one, had tacos way too similar and not that different.

Overall, this is a fun book that would solve your Taco Tuesday recipe - and I really liked the drinks at the end!

I would probably already buy the book just from looking at the cover (and yes because I love tacos!). I like the complete layout of the book and also the pictures of the tacos look great.
The instructions are easy to understand and there aren't too many ingreadients you need.
All in all, this is a great cookbook and I am definitely going to recommend it to my friends.

I never realized that a tortilla was a soft taco. Because of my digestive problems, the only “bread” I can eat is tortillas. I am always searching new ways to eat with it, and now I have!

I love that the recipes in this book are very versatile: you can switch the meat, or serve over rice or salad, and you reinvent your meal.

Most of the recipes (nearly all of them) have pictures. I find it sooo important: I need to know what it’s supposed to look like (even if it doesn’t when I make it). And I loved that the recipes are kid-friendly. My daughter will be thrilled to help me! Finally, let’s be real: I WANT TO EAT ALL THE RECIPES IN THIS BOOK!!!!

If loving tacos is wrong I don't want to be right! This is a great cookbook - perfect for singles or families. The recipes are simple and easy however look full of flavor. I love that the recipes can suit a variety of diets, including grain-free and vegetarian. The photographs are beautiful.

If you like Tacos you will love this book. I am an avid cook and baker for my family and always try to make things from scratch when I can find the recipe. This book takes you from making the tortilla (grain, corn and grain free), tostadas, and pancakes from scratch. It has recipes for Salsa, Guacamole, Pico De Gallo, Dressings and more. There are .52 taco recipes on for every week. They range from chicken, beef, meatless, pork and fish in a variety of dishes. They have Tacos, Fajitas, Beverages and more. There are tacos for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Some even look good for snacks. I am surely going to try a lot of these and her recipe for making your own tortillas. I just got a tortilla press I am dying to try I love the imagination and the flavor combinations in this book. I highly recommend it to anyone who likes to cook from scratch and try something new.

This is a great book. It is written by a Spanish author based in America and has some really authentic taco recipes and ideas. I like the structure of the book, with taco recipes organised by base (chicken/beef, etc), and I particularly liked the introduction which includes the recipes for the tacos themselves, and some nice additional sauces. I would not normally have considered tacos as a breakfast idea but am very keen to try out some of these particular recipes. One thing that I really liked about the recipes is the inclusion of metric measurements as well as in cups as it is much more familiar for me. Every recipe has a photograph to go with it which I think it always important in cookery, and the photos are vibrant and enticing. Very recommended to anyone who likes tacos!

52 Tasty Taco Recipes to make every week the best ever

The idea of planning weekly menus around themes for each day usually includes Taco Tuesday and that usually means to me anything Mexican BUT in this book the idea is that with these recipes one can create a different taco recipe every Tuesday of the year and enjoy every one of them without repeating a recipe.

This book begins with an introduction to the author and how she became interested in tacos when she moved to the USA from Spain. She had never had one before and her introduction to tacos not the best BUT that all changed soon after.

After the introduction:
*Essentials: guacamole & salsas, sauces, tortillas (including pancakes and grain free tortillas), and seasonings
*Tacos, Tacos, Tacos: Breakfast, vegetarian, chicken, beef, pork and del mar

The photographs are gorgeous. The recipes are easy to follow with easily found ingredients. How to make tortillas is included along with recipes for seasonings and everything else. The tortilla seems to be a base for the filling but in the photos there is so much filling that it seems more of a tostada than an easy to pick up taco with the tortilla more of a base than anything else. That said…boy did those fillings look tasty! There are recipes that are perhaps fusion as recipes included inspiration from Korea, Thailand, America, Greece, Asia and popular tastes such as philly cheesesteak and buffalo chicken.

I'm not a Tacos person but my family members are.

First of all, I must say the photographs of this book are amazingly beautiful! And to me, it's a must for a cookbook as beautiful pictures make me want to try and reproduce it.
I tried some of the recipes and it was great. Recommended.

A different taco recipe for every day of the week for a year? Yes please! What a genius idea and the cookbook is aptly named. I never really realized how versatile tacos can be. You can literally put anything in them. These recipes were so creative and very easy to do. The tacos that were photographed were so delicious looking that I was instantly hungry and craving tacos.

This is a great cookbook for any taco enthusiast and great for families looking to really integrate their family into the cooking experience.

After several months of non-stop traveling, I was pretty excited to get home and test-drive “The Taco Tuesday Cookbook” by Laura Fuentes. There are lots of tasty recipes in this taco truck of a book, and plenty more inspiration to create your own! I’m not a fan of fruit in my tacos, so that put me off some of the mango/pineapple + meat combinations. Put there was plenty left to love. Among my favorites were the classic Chicken Fajitas, All American Beef Tacos, and the Slow Cooker Beef Roast Tacos. I was pleasantly surprised by the less classic, but no less delicious Huevos Verdes Tacos and Chickpea and Butternut Squash Tacos. (Untried, but intriguing is the Chipotle Beet and Egg Tostada!)

Fuentes offers up a calendar of Taco Tuesdays for an entire year, and its not hard to imagine putting these recipes into the regular weekly rotation at my house.

A wonderful cookbook for those who love everything taco. It contains great recipes for making your own taco shells, salsas and other stuffings. I tried a few and it was all delicious! It's also a great book as the photos are beautiful and it feels very personal.

If you are like the author and are obsessed with tacos then The Taco Tuesday Cookbookwill be your go-to guide to creating a variety of tasty tacos. For those who have never tried tacos before, this guide will help you mix and match a wide variety of flavors and ingredients.

Beginning with a brief introduction, author Laura Fuentes encourages the reader to experiment with her recipes. Swap out some of the toppings or sauces and you can create even more recipe combinations.

The first chapter includes a brief description of the Taco Tuesday weekly party, followed by the information on how to mix it up with the ingredients, and taco basics.

The recipes themselves all include the yield, a brief description, and easy to follow instructions. Many have only a few ingredients, and while some may call for ingredients which are not included in your pantry at the moment, they are fairly easy to source.

The first chapter “The Essentials“ includes recipes that will be used often throughout the book. Guacamole, salsa, chimichurri are all here along with various types of tortillas.

Tacos, Tacos, Tacos! Is Chapter 2. This is the recipes chapter which is broken up into several sections:

Breakfast Tacos
Vegetarian Tacos
Chicken Tacos
Beef Tacos
Pork Tacos
Tacos Del Mar

Chapter 3 is Mas! Refreshing Beverages with staple drink recipes from Spanish and Mexican households.

Most of the recipes even include a full-page full-color photo which helps visualize the finished results. A weekly plan is included at the end of the book, followed by an index.

Impressive Variety

The sheer level of variety included in this book is quite impressive. The inventiveness and the interesting combinations of flavors ensure everyone will find something they will enjoy.

This is fun cookbook with lots of great recipes you will be dying to try if you love tacos! The premise of the book is Taco Tuesday, so the author gives us 52 different taco recipes, ensuring that if you so desired, you could make a different kind of taco every week for a year. She even offers a Weekly Plan at the back of the book with a suggested schedule to follow, and includes the page numbers where you can find each recipe. Every recipe is detailed, well written, and includes a full color, full page picture. Many recipes also include a "Laura's Tip" from the author, where she offers an alternative serving suggestion, or ideas for substitutions. The book is organized into logical sections: Breakfast Tacos, Vegetarian Tacos, Chicken Tacos, Beef Tacos, Pork Tacos and Tacos del Mar (seafood). And the recipes all look great. I have several I am going to try this weekend and next...But some of the best strengths of this cookbook go beyond the Taco recipes. The author also includes recipes and instructions for guacamole and salsas, sauces, tortillas, and beverages. And all the taco recipes included are so versatile, you can easily change or add one ingredient and make it a completely different taco--so this cookbook is so much more than 52 weeks of taco recipes. The author gives you the tools to make countless variations of tacos, along with the crucial seasonings, sauces, tortillas, etc that you need to accompany them. There's a terrific detailed table of contents at the beginning and an index--its super easy to find any recipe in this book. The only negative is the lack of nutritional information in the recipes, but that's very minor and doesn't detract from the value of this collection of taco recipes.

Great cookbook with a wide variety of styles of tacos. Includes breakfast, vegetarian, and Asian tacos also. I love that it starts with recipes for tortillas, dressings, and seasonings, and there is also a short chapter with beverages. Really enjoy that there is a couple pages with a list of 52 of the recipes as suggestions for "Taco Tuesday" dinner. The recipes are all straightforward with ingredients that can be found at standard grocery stores, and there are some recipes included that are made in the slow cooker. Beautiful photography. Recommend this for people looking for a taco book.

This is what you want in a cookbook: beautifully laid out, easy to follow, and a lot of interesting and honestly very healthy recipes. It's a cookbook you won't get bored of fast and most of the ingredients are very easy to source.

The book is broken down into these parts: The Essentials (guacamole, salsas, sauces, tortillas, seasonings), Tacos (breakfast, chicken, beef, pork, fish, vegetarian), and Beverages (horchatas, margaritas, sangria). Recipes include salsa verde, chimichurri, corn tortillas, black beans and queso breakfast tacos, blackened zucchini taco, southwestern tacos, quick carne asada tacos, food truck tacos, asian thai rib tacos etc. There really is a huge selection here from which to choose, spanning many cultures.

The book is quite well photographed, with nearly every recipe having an image, often full page. Each recipe gives servings, a brief intro, ingredients in bold print, and then directions in paragraph form. As a nitpick, I prefer directions in numbered steps that are easy to follow. But nearly every cookbook today does it in random paragraphs so that the recipes don't look like they are too complicated. On the plus side, at least with this cookbook, the paragraphs do make sense (often separating the tortilla or precooking from the major ingredient cooking. There is a suggestion table at the back for having a different taco meal every Tuesday and then an index.

I feel this is a cookbook you can have fun with but still feel like you are feeding your family well. I didn't see any recipea in there that were too onerous to cook nor were there a lot of unfriendly ingredients. Plus, it is so professionally and cleanly photographed that you will find a lot of inspiration within. Reviewed from an advance reader copy provided by the publisher.

Who doesn't love tacos?
Okay, actually don't ever ask me that because sometimes I just don't want tacos, but my partner could eat them every single day of his life and as long as he's cooking them I'll eat without complaint. Plus, they're simple to make when you don't feel like breaking out all the gluten free supplies I require for just about any other thing we cook.
This cookbook came at the perfect time, we'd gotten into the habit of buying the same supplies for tacos every single week and they became boring. Two days a week, the same tacos, the same salsa, the same everything. I easily could have looked up some recipes, but Laura Fuentes' tried and true Taco Tuesday Cookbook recipes come with pretty photos, homemade tortilla recipes, and ideas for combinations I would've never thought to do myself. Come on, a chickpea taco? It should've been named after me, I actually could it this one everyday. There's breakfast tacos, tacos with zucchini, simple fridge-grab tacos, and more complicated recipes like Jamaican Jerk Taco that'll certainly spice up your Tuesday evening dining. The book features 52 recipes and tons of gorgeous, colorful photos that will leave you salivating and eager to eat just one more taco.

This is a great cookbook for anybody looking for some taco inspiration. It's full of recipes for all kinds of tacos with a diverse bunch of flavors and combinations. Tacos are assumed to be all kinds -- hard shell, soft shell, tostada, even over lettuce for taco salad -- and there are sections for different types of meat (seafood, chicken, beef, etc.) and a fair amount of international inspiration so there's more variety than you might guess.

There is a color photo for just about every recipe in the book, which is great.

No nutritional information is provided.

The book will work well for many diets, including gluten free. There is a vegetarian section but the bulk of the recipes are meat based. Vegans won't find much of anything at all.

The recipes are relatively simple and quick. I really appreciated the recipes for basics like tortillas (including a grain free one), sauces and spice mixes. There are some creative recipes that sounded fun, like the Philly cheesesteak tacos.

If we were a meat-eating household, I'd probably buy a copy of the book myself. As it is, only two sections really work for our family (some of the breakfast tacos and of course the vegetarian section) and the rest needs heavy adaptation. Heartily recommended for families that eat the Standard American Diet.

The Taco Tuesday Cookbook by Laura Fuentes offers 52 taco recipes. I love that there are varying degrees of difficulty for the recipes. A few provide short cuts for days when time is limited. The restaurant-style salsa is great for winter as it uses canned tomatoes rather than fresh. The pulled pork tacos and siracha chicken tacos are at the top of my list. I also like some of the extras such as watermelon aqua fresca and siracha lime dressing. If your family enjoys tacos, this cookbook can help you add variety to your menus!

I have never had tacos outside of a restaurant, but since a lot of my US American friends are talking about tacos often, I thought this might be a good start to making my own.

The pictures to the recipes look inviting, nope, they look drool-worthy. The recipes seem to be easy to follow and reach from different dressings, guacamole and different tortillas to breakfast, chicken, beef, pork, and seafood tacos. There's even a small section on traditional beverages.

The book has enough recipes to get you through a whole year of Taco Tuesdays, there's a plan at the end of the book in case you want to join the Taco Tuesday fun on social media.

TITLE: It’s a good beginner book, and provides a decent jumping off place

Check out the “Look Inside” feature on this product page. You will see that all the basics are covered—from guac and salsas, to seasonings and sauces, to how to make your own tortillas. This book references the author’s web sites and past cookbooks, but she specifies that none of the 52 taco recipes developed for this book appear anywhere else. Full-color photos feature the prepared recipes and sometimes her children, so the style comes across as a bit homey and personable.

Tacos are known for being fairly easy to prepare, very forgiving with change-up of ingredients, fun to assemble and to eat. It’s a group, hands-on eating activity. This book encourages all of that. It also encourages the excitement of creating a new taco each week. No boredom here!

Easy-peasy: For instance, there is a classic guac and one that pairs fresh avocados with store-bought fresh salsa. One salsa is made with canned tomatoes, the others get you chopping fresh ingredients.

It’s not like the basics will be totally new to you, (unless you are totally new to taco-making). But it’s nice to have good basic recipes together in one place. Regarding the tortilla recipes: There is a grain-free tortilla made with almond and tapioca flour, plus a classic corn and an all-purpose flour tortilla. Regarding the sauce section: I think it is a great assortment of recipes that covers a wide range of flavors—all very suitable to taco-building. They, too, are easy and quick to make. There is a Sriracha-like seasoning and the author’s own all-purpose “Arriba!” seasoning.

In the Breakfast Taco chapter you will find the usual, plus there is an interesting combination of turkey sausage and pineapple salsa. There is a Migas recipe that does not resemble any Migas that I’ve ever had (here in Texas), and putting Migas on a tortilla seems to be overdoing it.

In the Vegetarian chapter, most all incorporate beans somehow, and that’s expected. But there is a very good poblano pepper and mushroom mix with kale, onion, jalapeño, seasoning, lime and cilantro. There are tacos with beets, zucchini, cauliflower and more.

Buffalo, Jerk and Sriracha will give you some spicy alternatives in the chicken chapter. There seems to be an Asian-flavored taco in every chapter—including Teriyaki Chicken. The author utilizes the slow cooker for busy, long days away from the kitchen. (But you could do these with a rotisserie chicken from the grocery store.)

A lot of these recipes are not extraordinary, but work to point out that just about any of your favorite chicken, beef, pork recipes can be plopped on a tortilla and paired with a colorful and contrasting salsa or sauce.

This is a fun cookbook, best used, I think, when you are really busy and your mind pulls a blank and is empty of creativity. It’s a good beginner book, and provides a decent jumping off place. It would be fun to gift along with a quality tortilla press (don’t purchase a cheap one, it is too discouraging—especially when the handle breaks off…..).

Page layout is decent and easy on the eyes. Pictures (one for each recipe, plus more), are effective and worthwhile. There could (and should) be more tips. There could (and should) be more ideas for substitutions.

Fantastic cookbook with a lot of interesting recipes for tacos! This book will help you branch out from store-bought taco kits and create something delicious. The recipes are easy to follow and the pictures that accompany the recipes are lovely and enticing. I would definitely use this cookbook in the future!

I only had time to try one of the recipes, but YUM! Who doesn't like tacos? Tacos make "chicken night" something special. I appreciate that this book has a diverse set of cooking methods and tastes. Taco Tuesday will probably extend beyond Tuesday.

My daughter currently eats everything and I think that has a lot to do with the fact that I feed her everything. This book gives your kids the fun factor (tacos, especially if they can build them on their own) and the diverse foods factor.

While I haven't tried the recipes as the book expired in my adobe reader too quickly, I did a cursory flip-through upon download and I really liked what The Taco Tuesday Cookbook had to offer. Lots of variety and lots that I could easily modify to my gluten-free diet.
