Description

THE book for grandmothers about grandmothers and by grandmothers

Becoming a grandmother is both exciting and challenging. In Celebrating Grandmothers, 27 women describe – in their own words – how they responded to the many new pleasures and demands of being a grandmother. You will read about how their new role changed the texture of their lives, their family relationships and their sense of themselves.

Whether you find that being a grandmother is a source of great joy – or of some pain due to sheer distance or family problems – it will speak to you. And you will gain many good ideas about how to do the best for both your adult children and your grandchildren.

An original present for new and experienced grandmothers alike.

A lovely book. I really enjoyed reading about all the different types of Grandmother's and the different ways of being a good Grandma. From keeping your distance to practically raising your Grandchildren I found this book very interesting and informative. As a Nanny myself I loved reading about the other women's experience.

Being a grandmother, I was interested to read this book. I found it very interesting and fun. It seemed like so many had similar feelings and opinions about things, but it was interesting to read the stories that each of htem presented.I found it to be written and edited well. It truly kept my interest, which I know came from my experience in being a grandma, which I relish. I adore my grandchildren and found that these women basically felt the same way. You get that from their stories. I would have loved to have heard more from Ann in this book, especially some of her personal experiences. But I still found it to be a great book.
