From the start I loved how the table of contents looked as if I was going to order off the menu. A good sign, in my opinion! And those pictures are just an Instagramer's Dream!

"Every Day Is Saturday" is helpful even for novice cooks, with steps on "Things to have on Hand", a guided help I will take gladly. Lists are super friendly to the eyes, easy to follow lists on how to prep an amazing pantry, the explanations and descriptions of products is phenomenal. I feel like a CHEF! Because a list of gear is also included and a list of what compliments items you may already have in your kitchen, THIS IS ADULTING!

The breakdown of the recipe with it's instructions were as if my hand is being held by Ms. Copeland, like I just cannot mess this dish up and I love the support it gives me. Amazing recipes, thoroughly explained, beautiful photos, interesting commentary and tips, one of the BEST cook books I've gotten my hands on.

This book was received as an ARC from Chronicle Books in exchange for an honest review. Opinions and Thoughts expressed in this review are completely my own.

We are always on the lookout for new and upcoming cookbooks to use for our cooking demo program and this one was focused on family gatherings and comfort food which generally happen during the weekend especially on Saturdays. It's was so warm and welcoming to read a cookbook where everyday could be Saturday to have that cozy feeling everyday (trust me we all need it). The recipes and photos look delicious and are so well put together in the layout that it makes you want to try to make them. Recipes are also very easy to follow as well.

We will definitely consider adding this title to our Non-Fiction TX Cookbook collection at the library. That is why we give this book 5 stars.

I am always looking for great, useful and beautiful cooking books and this book did not dissapoint.

I love the amount of pictures that are in the book. To me that is very important in a cooking book since part of the whole experience of cooking and planning is seeing what the final result might look like. So, I really appreciate the author included pictures for the meals, sauces, etc.

One thing that really surprised me was that the book included a section dedicated for sauces and drinks. It is really a "find it all here" kind of book.

The recipes aren't overly complicated and that adds to the beauty of the book and the meals it showcases.

Overall, it is a beautiful, colourful, useful cooking book that can inspire meals for any day, for all seasons. I already have pick several recipes I will be trying soon.

Thank you Netgalley for providing this ARC in exchange for an honest review

What a great cookbook. Full of ideas and recipes that were centred around family get-togethers or comfort food.
The titles of the chapters are brilliant and give you ideas of who it is aimed at as far as whom I eat with.

This cookbook has many non-fancy recipes for everyday cooking, as well as for sauces that can be prepared in advance to simplify weekday cooking. The book is illustrated throughout with appealing images of each dish and also with gorgeous family photos (it helps to have cute kids!) Initially I didn't find many of the dishes compelling enough to want to try (is quinoa in waffles really necessary?), but then I hit the chapters on desserts, beverages, and sauces, and I was sold. There are many recipes for useful sauces and delicious-seeming simple desserts. Even basics are presented in a way that made me want to try this 87th recipe for oatmeal or chocolate chip cookies--both looked delicious.

Of particular note is the effort the author makes to include recipes to appeal to various dietary limitations. Even when a recipe isn't expressly gluten-free, she makes good use of almond flour, for example, for the texture and flavor it lends to the finished dish. The back of the book contains highly useful, well-thought-out lists of all the recipes appropriate for particular dietary restrictions. This is exceptionally handy and time-saving for people with such concerns.

This is my favorite kind of cookbook: beautiful photographs, plenty of interesting stories, and recipes that are interesting and attainable.

For the novice cook, this book is a dream come true. Sarah Copeland took my hand and guided me through each recipe - step-by-step. It was so easy to follow that even a caveman... From soup to nuts, the recipes ran the gamut of dishes from breakfast - to entrees - finishing with desserts.

Speaking of desserts, traditionally, that has always been one of my favorite foods. It goes way back. Beautifully illustrated, there were some mouth-watering dishes that I'm sure I could really get to sink my teeth into; I'll soon find out. With no reservation, I would recommend this book to anyone, be they beginner or expert.

I offer my thanks to NetGalley and Chronicle Books for this ARC in exchange for an unbiased review.

Gorgeous pictures. Amazing recipes. And easy instructions. I loved how accessible this book was - from the variety of recipe difficulties to the flavors and dish options

SPOILER ALERT:
Do not, I repeat, DO NOT browse through this book whilst hungry or even peckish! You will be tempted to raid your pantry and whip up something good - or devour all the chocolate in the house.
I really loved this book from start to finish.
The three steps in "Things to have on hand to make life more delicious" was really clever. It details what you need to achieve these recipes - and no, its not loads of fancy equipment and ingredients. As a recent convert to Maldon salt, I am ecstatic to find it being used a lot here.
"Ten favorite foods" was great. I like how she explains what each food is good for.
The recipes are so simple with ingredients you usually have on hand and have well laid out methods that even the most inexperienced home chef can attempt. The background on each one is also great. They remind us that cooking for loved ones should be comforting and simple.
The practicality of the recipes is what I love - especially when it comes to her tips/suggestions for platters or house-guests i.e. the "Hungriest House-guest" is wonderful.
The "Good to Know" & "Get Ahead" sections, sprinkled throughout, are very useful - suggesting either alternatives or additions/tweaks to recipes and also supplying time-saving tips. The "Special Diets Index" is a useful addition.
And then the styling and photographs.
I LOVE the fact that there is a photograph of the final product for almost every recipe. They are visually appealing. I personally like seeing what the end result should more or less look like.
This is a book that I would recommend as a shelf staple for almost any sort of home cook. You will use these recipes over and over, you will grab a pencil and add your own tweaks and alterations.

This isn't your usual cookbook. They have taken different fresh ingredients and put them together such as braised short ribs with watermelon radishes. There are lovely pictures of the dishes that make you want to dive right into the dish. They also share how to make some of the recipes gluten free by making a few changes that are also listed. There are handy list of ingredients that you need to keep on hand and ways to organize your pantry to make cooking easier on those busy weeknights. There's also a list of basic tools that you need to have on hand.

The life of the family cook is continually changing. In 2019 we are all looking for faster, easier ways to plan meals and put healthy food on the table. It doesn't hurt if it is fresh and appetizing as well.

Sarah Copeland has put together a book that is an ode to prepping and making food that is chock full of fruit, vegetables and good things like whole grains, fresh cheese, yogurt, smoothies, etc. This is the kind of cookbook that reflects the current trends in eating - cooking at home, whole foods, full of vitamins and fiber, and reducing processed foods and refined sugar.

I think back to 1979 when I was a new bride and every recipe in my cookbooks started with some kind of processed food - from dried potato mixes to creamed soups. Now in my 60's, I am looking for a better way to feed the two of us that doesn't require me to be spending all day in the kitchen. And, to be honest, I love Sarah's idea of throwing on my swimsuit all summer to prep breakfast and start the day.

This is the way I want to cook. The recipes are fresh, quick (or can be prepared in advance), and delicious looking. I think many families will agree, this will be a staple cookbook on their shelf (or on their kindle?).

I found this book appealing, first for the title. I mean, who wouldn't want Saturdays every day?! Secondly, the photos in the book are just stunning! They match the wonderfully thought out recipes and stories. Any woman that puts fish and a spinach pie in her purse demands attention and respect as a lover of food!

My favorite line is that some days she feels like her grandma, but other days she's just human. Love it!

This is such a lovely cookbook! First of all, the name is absolutely perfect and super appealing to anyone who has busy weekdays, but still wants to sit down to a delicious and gourmet-ish dinner at the end of a long day. But it's more than just weekday dinners; the book is packed with breakfasts that feel like weekend breakfasts but can be enjoyed during the week, lunches, snacks, desserts and drinks, plus more time-consuming weekend projects and meals to entertain friends. Everything feels very accessible.

So many of the dishes are quite simple and easy, but elevated through the use of special ingredients, fresh and colorful vegetables, and the perfect garnishes. Basically, every dish in this book feels extremely Instagram-friendly! Though photos aren't always necessary for cookbooks, it feels like they're becoming more and more important as we shift to becoming even more of a visual society. I love that this book is packed with photos of so many of the dishes... And yes, it's gorgeous photography; enough so that you may want to make this a coffee table book.

"Every Day is Saturday" is the kind of cookbook where I bookmark every other page with a recipe I want to try and would be a welcome addition to any cookbook shelf!

Aspirational ~ Attractive ~ Mouthwatering
tl; dr: Easy food that looks hard

Sarah Copeland claims she loves a full house. I would be happy to test her word and hang out. She seems like the sort of woman who is easy to be friends with, easy going but not flaky. I say this because her approach to food is super chill. She offers recipes and then ways to do this same thing with other stuff. Her book has some twee aspects like kinds of toast. But, don't discount the book because of those gimmicks. There are plenty of really easy recipes, like brown rice porridge or the Hungarian plate, that would make keeping a healthy family easier. I really want to own this cookbook.

Busy working women know that the phrase Everyday is Saturday refers to your ability to cook for your family on the weekend when you have more time to make sure the meals are enjoyable. This cookbook includes many delicious, quick, easy recipes that will in fact let you do your weekend cooking everyday. My daughter and I split the recipes between us to try and have yet to find one that we thought did not fit the title. With little time to cook, this book should be one of your favorites!

What a fabulous book! Jam-packed with recipes, hints, photos, ideas, menus, etc. Once you start looking at it, you won't be able to just put it down. And don't look at it if you are hungry! Most of the recipes are easy to make, so don't be overwhelmed. The author really helps those who are not extremely experienced in all of these areas. I loved it. I highly recommend this book. You will look like a pro when having dinner or party from these recipes!

Sometimes a cookbook can be lots more than recipes, and Every Day is Saturday: Recipes + Strategies for Easy Cooking, Every Day of the Week (Easy Cookbooks, Weeknight Cookbook, Easy Dinner Recipes) by Sarah Copeland is one of them. The book is filled not only with mouthwatering recipes, but also stories and vignettes that are fun to read. It's always fun to read a book where the personality of the author comes through; it helps readers know that author and want to prepare the dishes. It also helps when there are beautiful photographs, and this cookbook includes plenty of them.

Copeland includes menus that are suitable for a nice family dinner or for entertaining; they aren't too fussy, and are doable for everyone. The recipes are mostly easy and concise - cooks at every level, from beginning to advanced, will be able to turn out picture-perfect dishes. Some of her accompaniments are unexpected, like a Cuban version of black beans and fried plantains to accompany a taco feast - Yum! There is a fabulous recipe for Grilled Skirt Steak with Chimichurri that is requested often, as well as the author's "go to" Magic Pork Shoulder which is a cut above and is delicious. The recipes have international leanings: Italian, Mexican, Cuban, and American, and there is something in this excellent cookbook that will appeal to almost everyone. The side dishes are nice, the desserts are mouthwatering, and the main dishes and salads are incredible.

The cookbook includes about 100 recipes, which isn't a huge amount, but since they are appealing ? some unique and others traditional with innovative twists - there are plenty of recipes to keep cooks busy and happy for a very long time. This cookbook is definitely worth adding to every cookbook collection and will be used often.

Special thanks to NetGalley for supplying a review copy of this book.

I love the title to this cookbook! I am one of those people who through the week tend to do something simple and easy. Maybe not every night but most weeknights. The recipes in this book though changed how I thought about weeknight cooking.

There are recipes for every meal from breakfast to dinner to a potluck. I loved how the recipes were simple enough to use what I almost always had on hand. Yet the meals they made were elaborate in taste and looks.

I will admit that I purchased this particular cookbook after reviewing the kindle copy so I could take notes along the side as well as have a book to flip through when I am meal planning.

If you tired of making the same dishes over and over again, this cookbook is for you!! Every Day is Saturday is such an inspiring cookbook. I love the author's writing style, gorgeous photograph, and what I love the most about this book is how easy it is to follow the recipe's instructions.
Also, there's a section for the pantry list for stuff that you need and a section for "what to do with leftover". Truly this is a must-have cookbook, Can't recommend enough!
