The author begins by informing the reader of her diet history, she grew up in Holland eating great quantities of cheese and bread - up to 6 and 10 pieces of bread per day!
As a young lady in her mid twenties she went to see a physician because she felt something was not right and he told her she needed a gut cleanse and probiotics because bad bacteria were populating her gut and she needed to heal her gut.
It was very hard to give up bread, wheat and wheat products, and pasta and to find good substitutes for these products!
The authors gives 2 lists of products : one that you can choose to eat from, and one to avoid. You are informed about Carbs, Proteins, Fat and Sugar in order to make wise eating choices.
The subject of exercise is mentioned, and the fact that you should exercise because you will feel good about yourself - you do not need an expensive exercise club membership or equipment to exercise - just take a walk, run, or go bicycling or hiking outside!
There are 9 other models who contribute recipes for this book, you are sure to find some healthy, yummy recipes that will tickle your palate!
The breakfast recipes include a recipe for overnight oatmeal that includes rolled oats, honey and orange juice that sounds delicious! There is also a chocolatey, peanut buttery shake with bananas!
A good lunch or dinner option is sweet and savory chicken meatballs that use ground chicken, cream cheese, mustard, sage and quinoa that looks delicious!
The book contains a sauerkraut recipe that uses sea salt, cabbage, carrots, garlic and onions to make a very pungent probiotic!
For those of you with a sweet tooth - there is even a chocolate mousse recipe that uses cacao powder, honey and avocados.
Enjoy getting and staying thin!

As an avid lover of fitness and cooking, I was very interested in reading this book and it blew me away. I loved that the book incorporated multiple authors. This made the stories, advice and recipes within it approachable. With that being said, often times cookbooks utilize ingredients that are not common and can be hard to find in some grocery stores. This was not the case for this cookbook. The recipes are full of vegetables and there is truly something for everyone.

Overall I truly enjoyed this book and expect many of the recipes to become staples in my every day cooking! Thank you Netgalley for the ARC.

The title of this book made me pause to read the blurb. “Models Do Eat” by Jill de Jong is a good size collaboration of stories and recipes.

I was pleasantly surprised to see that the recipes were also from a combination of other people. True these other people are various models, and everyone looks good and healthy etc etc... but the breakdown of the book into each divisional section per model.

The recipe book is nicely combined together together to form a fun and many types of beloved or new twist on older recipes.

There are a number of fascinating and appealing recipes that I have definitely tagged to try out.

Thank you publishers and NetGalley for giving me this opportunity to review this book.

Lots of delicious recipes in this book (lots of vegetarian options as well!) and I loved the premise of this book. It’s a lifestyle and not about starving yourself to have a fit and healthy body. Love this!
