Look, I wasn't ready for this...maybe I was, but here's the thing; Allie Michelle succeeded in making me feel. Her words, some lyrical, others full of reflection and downright unapologetic ignited feelings in me that I worked so hard to calm or cast aside.
With pieces like 'Home' she reminds you that your mind could either be heaven or hell, so you'd better guard it. When you come across a piece like "Grief" in just five sentences she brings you to your knees in pain. Some pieces are light, witty and others pack a punch.
What I know for sure is that in reading this collection, you may shed a tear or two, laugh a little or a lot but mostly you'll reminisce on memories...experiences so close to your heart you'll not help but be moved.

I got this on a whim hoping it would help me get over my current reading slump, and it did so much more. I loved this book.

This is a poetry collection that touches on many topics like love, loss, social media, family, growth and forgiveness, but most importantly it explores self-love and healing and that is why I think everyone should read this. I know some people are not going to enjoy this book as much because the poetry is Tumblr ish but it was exactly what I needed. This book made me reflect and forgive myself, it made me realize that sometimes it is okay to put yourself first and let go.

I truly cannot explain what this book made me feel, and maybe my rating is biased but I needed this book. I needed to read these words. This book is beautiful and inspirational, it pushes you to enjoy the moment and to forgive yourself and others. It includes beautiful simple images that are open to interpretation and give the book a nice touch. My only critique would be that I could not find an order in the poems, she talks about love, then loss, then social media, then love again and so on. Maybe it makes sense for the author but to me it seemed a little all over the place.

Overall, as you can see, I loved this book. I think everyone should read it because everyone is going to be able to identify to some of the aspects she explores. I cannot wait for the book to come out so that I can buy a physical copy, and I would definitely keep an eye on whatever the author writes next.

I highly enjoyed reading this collection of poetry. I found this collection could be read many times during a person's lifetime. There are many passages that I found that spoke to me personally, and I know other passages would speak to others personally. The collection mainly focuses on moments of life; the good, the bad, and all the in-between times of a human being. There are many great inspirational messages sprinkled within the entire book.

The Rose That Blooms in the Night is a collection of poems and prose that is virtually guarenteed to hit a note with the reader. The book is emotive and affirming, with a recurring theme of self-acceptance. The author's background in wellness and healing, is evident.

I found myself bookmarking several pages, and copied many lines that spoke to me into a notebook I keep of quotes, poems, sayings that I love. This is a book that I'll re-read. I highly recommend it!

Wooooooooow! Allie Michelle literally did that! She literally reached to my soul, grabbed it by her fists and caressed it with her honest lines about self-love, acceptance, forgiveness, healing, insecurities, social media, family and love.

Each poem exploring its theme has an individualistic approach and by that I mean, every poem written until now has another or a couple more pieces written by different individuals in their own way, sometimes, the same way but in different styles. Even though the themes on which the poems are based on are common, the way Allie has penned them is completely unprecedented or at least I thought so. The imagery, metaphors, style and everything felt new to me! This collection of poems and prose is something to read and reflect upon. All her lines linger within you after you finish reading them.

I feel so sorry that I wasn't able to finish this in one night. This turned about to be the book I needed. Truly inspirational and affirming! She literally did that! Allie is truly a writer I am going to look upon from now. Her words are so freakin' strong! I can go on and on about this book! I can still feel her words racing through my mind! I haven't read her book, 'Explorations of a Cosmic Soul' (Aye, before you judge me I have been living under a rock and that rock was highschool. I am just getting done with high school, I have a lot to catch up on) so, I will be reading it soon and I am already excited for it!

Definitely, I'll be re-reading this for years to come and one day, I hope soon, I'll hold this book in hand with a different perspective: full of self-love, acceptance, healed in the state of wholeness and let it speak to me, in a whole new manner.

“Every experience that happens to us is simply an experience. It is the meaning we create from the experience that stays with us for a lifetime...” This is a very calm poetry book about self-discovery, self-healing and self-awareness. I especially loved the poems associating human emotions through nature. I just wished the second part of the book offered more than just inspiring quotes, because I truly enjoyed the first half more than the second. The experience of reading it was a nice one, it is a very easy and cozy read. All in all I will give the author another chance for sure. I loved this book of poetry.
I found myself highlighting passages or committing to memory a certain prose.

It was so real and beautiful and relatable in such a simplistic and sometimes obvious way.
The kind of poem you would read and think to yourself... of course, how has no one said that before, Ive felt that way so often.

An enjoyable read - poetry is something that either affects you or doesn't. I found that some of the poems were had more of an effect on me than others however I would recommend to those who enjoy the genre.

I enjoyed this collection of poetry by Allie Michelle quite a bit. There was something magical about the way she writes and describes things. It was magical and felt a bit like riddles, the way a fortune teller tells you about your future, it's the same way that Allie writes these poems, and it is mesmerizing.

I enjoyed the poems the farther into the book I read, getting more and more used to the styling of them and getting used to her voice. The illustrations in the book were lovely as well, they played well into keeping the mood steady.

I also very much enjoyed the continued themes through this book of roses, wolves, etc. I always enjoy a call back to a previous chapter, book, or poem.

I read this collection of poems in one sitting - it was comforting and thoughtful, while at the same time being haunting and truthful. I liked the way that Allie conveyed the sentiments around love, passion and learning to be oneself. It helped me acknowledge some truths that I had not yet put into words - things that I want to tell my daughter and my son in the future, the struggle that I have justifying social media sometimes, what it means to come out of my comfort zone and empowering myself... Allie has expressed powerful ideas in beautiful verses. I particularly liked her interpretation of being alone and the 'nostalgia for now'.

The only thing I would improve is rearranging the poems about social media into a separate section. Between all the other themes, they seem separate sometimes and break the flow a little. But that does not mean that they do not add to the overall message - they absolutely do and I appreciate their presence very much.

I look forward to going back to this collection in the future. I'm thankful to the publisher and author for providing me with an advanced reader copy via NetGalley. It has been a pleasure reading the poems and engaging in deeper thinking - exactly what I envision poetry to help me with. :)

On a quick note - the visuals are absolutely stunning! I loved the simplicity of the design. It was a feast for my eyes.

The Rose that Blooms in the Night is a collection of poems involving love, self love and current states of the world. I was hooked from the very beginning and found my self relating to so many of the prose. I feel like the writer put into words what I couldn't say before. I found myself saying “yes” and agreeing with her constantly. I really wish I had a physical copy so I could have annotated it. I will buy it myself when it comes out!

I was intrigued by the illustrations and could tell they related to what she was discussing about. The illustrations were simple and I think it was a good choice because it didn’t take away the spotlight from the poetry collection.

This book is about 200 pages filled with prose and beautiful illustrations. However, I did find that some of the prose was quite repetitive. I’m not sure if it was meant to be like that to reinforce and finalize a feeling, or something else. Also, some parts felt like I have read them before or were cheesy.

When it comes to the topics, I truly believe they’re important to discuss. Loving yourself first before you love others. Likes and shares from social media won’t matter at the end. There was also some prose that had a feminist approach.

This author really poured herself into this collection and I really appreciate it! My rating is of 4/5.

First of all, I love the illustrations! They are so so powerful and add charm to the collection.

This is a collection that fiercely talks about being a woman, women empowerment, loving oneself, lost love, being alone, accepting oneself, how love should be and should be not, grief, the difference of being nice and kind, letting go, digital disconnection, betrayal, social masks and different masks that we wear. I love the first part that's named Dusk.

The second section, that is named Dawn, talks about love and lovers, the contradictions and disconnection, to start again, what we are influencing, giving yourself freedom to fail, death, encouraging oneself, trusting oneself, love being conditional, what to teach your daughter when you have one, honest moments of life, being brave, compromises, social media, art and creativity, what to teach your son when you have one, what matters and what words matter in real, victimization, passion, being a writer, danger of comparisons, courage, inspiration, woman empowerment, self worth, beauty, care.

And there's more!

How can I not possibly love this collection?
It taught me so many things; made me aware of so many emotions; made me think and feel.

She is a genius.

I will be looking forward to read all of her work in the future. I am truly impressed.

This is one of my favourite poetry collections I have ever read.
I typically find myself disconnected from poetry, but that did not occur in this one.
The poems were beautifully written, with substance to them that made me feel deeper meaning.
The illustrations sprinkled through were simplistic, but gorgeous and perfectly integrated in.

poetry tends to focus on grief, heartbreak and abuse- which is completely fine, but can seem repetetive.
However this book had themes of self love, hope and beauty which left me with an inspired and content feeling.

This was the best pick me up read I've had in a while. I've been in a little bit of a reading slump and this book got me out of it. All the poems by Allie Michelle were very relatable and heartwarming. The poems subjects range from love, loss, & self doubt. I thank my favorite was "The Only Words That Matter." I feel like it is so relatable to anyone that has lost a love one.

I found this collection of poetry sheer pleasure to read, the kind of poetry you can dip into whenever you have a few minutes to spare and easily get lost in. There are illustrations throughout which I loved and enhanced the spirit and meaning of the poems. The poems focus on universal themes such as being a woman, female empowerment, self-love, love, loneliness, letting go, grief and hiding your true face behind masks. These are big themes but the poet personalises them in such a way it took my breath away at times. I was impressed by these poems and will seek more of the poet’s work in future.

This poetry book was amazing! I read through it like a hurricane. I love how thoughtful the author has come to be with her work! Beautifully written!

I really enjoyed The Rose that Blooms in the Night by Allie Michelle. Her poems were sweet and hopeful and sometimes raw and the illustrations in the book are so complementary to the style. While it could sometimes be repetitive, I resonated with so many of the poems in this collection. Michelle writes about love and self-love and feminism, all areas where we all could use a little more reflection. I will definitely be recommending this one to my poetry-reading friends. For sure.

Nice collection of poems about relationships, self-love, kindness, respect, fears, life challenges, among others. I think the author did a great job, but her style is very similar to other works I've read before.

The collection of poems and proses in The Rose That Blooms in the Night were incredibly touching. I enjoyed the themes that revolve around the book - feminism, social media, grief and more. I thought that the author did an incredible job curating the book. What's more, the illustrations complement the beautiful style of writing.

The beauty in poems is that they are so personal and vastly different from each other. The poems in 'The Rose That Blooms in the Night' are much longer and use many more words to show what they have to tell than those in many poetry bundles I read. That doesn't make them better, it doesn't make them worse, it makes them what they are.

The beautiful illustrations add to the strength of the poems with their simplicity.

Some beautiful poetry in here, I loved the fact so much dealt with self love too, which is the most important love for most people they struggle with. Beautiful illustrations that go with the stunning lyrical prose. An absolutely wonderful collection you can dip into or throw yourself in whole as I did. Stunning

I loved this book honestly, the poems were so relatable, the writing unique and expressive. I honestly liked it in comparison to other poetry books
It expresses thoughts and emotions beautifully.

This one will for sure will be added to my physical collection as well. One of my favorite poetry collects I’ve read so far. This is one of the best collections of poetry I have come across in quite some time. I was hooked from the very beginning. I don't usually "highlight" or "bookmark" favorite passages in the books as I read; typically I mentally acknowledge when I've read a particularly great section and move on. This collection, however, had me breaking out the bookmark feature of my e-reader so fast I think my kindle software could hardly keep up with me! There were SO many beautiful passages in this it was hard to keep track. The illustrations scattered throughout were simple yet beautiful and fit so well with the voice of the author. As a woman who has struggled with self image and self love throughout my entire life, this collection reached into my soul and dragged the beautiful parts to the surface and threw them into a mirror, pointed at the mirror, and said "this is you, look how much there is to love." I can't recommend this enough to anyone and everyone! Allie Michelle's writing style is flawless and so so beautiful and hits you like wave when you dive in.

I really really like this one. It brought me somewhere far away with its poetry then took me back to where I was. It was kind of a poetry book for everyone.

Although only a small amount of the poems in this collection resonated with me, those that did were truly remarkable. I was so blown away by how deeply they touched my soul that I feel there's nothing else I can do but give this one 5 stars. Beautiful.

'The Rose that Blooms in the Night' is a great poetry book that made me pick up the pen and paper and try writing some poetry of my own. I've read it twice already and will definitely buy a printed copy for my personal library. Each page contains not only words but also emotions which lately it seems so hard to achieve.

I will definitely recommend this book to anyone who wants to spend a cold afternoon in front of the fire while reading something light and meaningful.

During the reading, I signed so many sentences that touch my heart and made me thing "oh, it's talking about me". If you're feeling down, you can read some poems and get back your vitality.

The illustrations are beautiful! The simple art style is one of my favorite. This type of style don't take away the spotlight from the poems.

Because of the several poems, I think that some of them were repetitive, but in its entirety I enjoyed this collection.

this is a beautiful poetry book. i enjoyed all the poems. some of them are kinda cliché and repetitive, but that was not a bad thing.

the topics were about love, lost, self love and feminism. and i would LOVE to have a physical copy.

I absolutely loved this book. It's full of poems of different sizes, but they all hit me in different parts of my emotions. I felt Allie Michelle's words had such a real and emotional punch, and I appreciated how vulnerable she was by sharing these poems. I also loved the illustrations strewn throughout the book. They fit really well with the poems.

I received an e-arc from net galley for an honest review. I was really enjoying this poetry collection which I got about 42% before my arc expired. What I did read, I read very quickly but I just got distracted by life stuff. I did almost buy the book but due to money issues I couldn't. But I would highly recommend it.

The Rose that Blooms in the Night by Allie Michelle is a collection of powerful, thought provoking poetry. Sprinkled within the collection are some illustrations that didn't take from the poetry within the collection. While some of the poems didn't speak to me personally, they were all rather lovely to read. The collection covered a large range of emotions. Some felt a tough repetitive to me, but they were delivered in such a way that it allowed me to experience the message once more.

The Rose That Blooms in the Night by Allie Michelle is a book filled with poems about being independent and finding the strength from deep within yourself, that you didn’t even knew you had, to come out whole on the other side.

This book is about fighting for what you want and who you want to be, and I loved every second of it!

I really enjoy poetry books, and this one had the feel of my favorite poetry author, Amanda Lovelace. The poetry and simple illustrations were very relatable and I enjoyed overall.

Overall: I really enjoyed this book of poetry. I am sad because I wasn't able to finish it 100% since I could not access it through my Pocketbook App. It kept on showing an 'error' message to me. I still loved how the words that Allie wrote really invoked positive and encouraging feelings for me. Yes, some were sad and hit a nerve, but that gave me a jolt of reality that I really needed.
