Thankyou to NetGalley, BooksGoSocial and the author, Colum Dain, for the opportunity to read a digital copy of The Video in exchange for an honest and unbiased opinion.
Quite by accident, I was given an early draft, advanced readers copy of The Video ( originally titled Murder, I Like ). I thought it was a great read and certainly made you think about how safe social media really is. This edition of the story is even better. The author certainly has a way of sucking you in and not letting go until the final twist. I can't wait to read more from this author.
The storyline was well thought out and written with well drawn and relatable characters. You have to ask yourself the question, " What would you do? "
Well worth a read.

"When you’re on social media later today, be careful what you click ‘like’ to."

I hadn't read a short story in many years, and was pleasantly surprised by this story. The depth and detail made me feel as though I was sitting on that train myself.

In just a small number of pages, this story delves into a number of issues society currently faces with major advances in technology and our subsequent reliance on these technologies.

Special thanks to Netgalley for providing me with this ARC in exchange for my honest opinion.

This was such an interesting concept and I think the message is so relevant especially during this pandemic. I wish the story would have been a little longer. A lot happened very fast and it would have been more suspenseful had the story been stretched on a little more. Overall, it was a great message and reminder to all!

This story meant to prove that we have tremendous technology advances, yet we have never gotten out of the cave.
